Coming soon to many bloggers near you–and I’ll be jumping on this initiative because, well–my dad is a proponent who is actively working toward this and educating people, I’m a proponent, (you can see my posts on it:

If I had a hammer

a quick note about presentations – this one has an interesting 43-count thread of comments where liberals are complaining about the Fairtax initiative–again, because it’s too big for their small minds to comprehend.
– and I belong to the Fairtax yahoogroup. The problem will, of course, be, the fact that comments tend to be long and extensive, and explaining how this works simply tends to beyond the limited comprehension of liberals everywhere who want to continue making us work harder so we can pay more welfare checks!

I’m just so busy with all of this, sometimes I can hardly see straight, but I can always lend a hand to a worthy cause. With that said, here we go!

April 15 – Make it just another day!

“In 1773, the Boston Tea Party was organized to protest taxation without representation. Today, Americans are protesting taxation in spite of representation.”

During the American Revolution, ordinary citizens came together against an oppressive King to defeat the most powerful army of their day, and cement a new nation’s place in history. These patriots knew the meaning of “a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” They actively participated in their new government, which in turn was responsive to the needs of its citizens.

Today, another revolution is fomenting, a grass-roots effort initiated by Americans for Fair Taxation that is spreading like wildfire across America. It is an effort to:

    * Allow you to take home all of your paycheck (except state and local taxes) — no Federal withholding, no Social Security, no Medicare taxes will be withheld
    * Replace all Federal income taxes including personal, estate, gift, capital gains, alternative minimum Social Security, Medicare, self-employment, and corporate taxes with a National Sales Tax
    * Abolish the IRS

To aid in this effort, next Wednesday, February 22, Publius Rendezvous, in conjunction with The Right Track Blog, will be inaugurating The Fair Tax Blogburst. Every Wednesday, we will post on some aspect of this bold effort, and once again let an out-of-control government feel the heat from its citizens.

If you would like to join this effort in reforming our tax system, please e-mail publius@publiusrendezvous.com or terry@righttrack.us. We’ll be glad to have you!

    No, Peakah, it’s going to publish this morning. Many times I set things up so posts will publish while I’m away from the computer–or busy doing other things.

    Keep spreading the Fair Tax message. Please write and email your elected representatives and ask for their support! The Fair Tax can become a reality, but it will take some cajoling to get our senators and congressmen to give up their power to dangle ridiculous “tax breaks” in front of special interest groups.
