Thanks to Peakah’s Provocations, I’ve just read another disturbing story about an Islamist outfit out east.
It’s been a while since I’ve been over to the Northeast Intelligence Network, (they have updated and changed their website) but–apparently The Politics of CP has been working with NE Intelligence Network to expose Jamaat ul-Fuqra – an Islamic Training Compound Inside the United States that is being run in the Catskill mountains of New York.

13 February 2006: “We see children – small children run around over there when they should be in school. We hear bursts of gunfire all of the time, and we know that there is military like training going on there. Those people are armed and dangerous. We get nothing but menacing looks from the people who go in and out of the camp, and sometime they yell at us to mind our own business when we are just driving by. We don’t even dare to slow down when we drive by. They own this mountain and they know it, and there is nothing we can do about it but move, and we can’t even do that. Who wants to buy property next to that?â€
What is even more chilling is this: Jamaat al Fuqra is a terrorist organization founded by Sheik Mubarek Ali Shah Gilani, the Islamic cleric Daniel Pearl was attempting to interview when he was kidnapped. This group has been linked to over two-dozen murders and fire-bombings inside the U.S., and maintains active training compounds inside the United States. Perhaps the largest training compound – and their operational headquarters, is situated on 70 acres nestled in a remote and heavily secluded area on the western edge of the Catskill Mountains in New York state, about 40 miles southeast of Binghamton, NY.
Worldnet Daily has picked up the story.
Chilling.

I’d like to comment that Islam as a religion is not responsible for the behaviour of people how believe in it since many of them misunderstand it’s instruction and/or commit crimes in the name of religion (while the crimes is done mostly for other purposes and have nothing to do with the teaching of Islam). If a christian did something wrong, we can’t say that christianity is responsible.
That’s kind of interesting, isn’t it? Considering what the Qu’ran says about killing the infidel and all. The Bible has no text which instructs the Body of Believers to go out and kill all unbelievers wherever you find them, but the Qu’ran does.
Muslims are required to follow the teachings of the Prophet Mohamed, and to follow the Qu’ran. In some cases “things changed†and the Prophet Mohamed changed his instructions.
While watching all the fighting and rioting in the streets over the cartoons, it has me wondering.
In his final sermon, the day before he died, Islam teaches that the Prophet Mohamed said the following:
The month between Jumaada and Sha’aban is the month of Ragab.
The other three months when fighting and warfare are strictly forbidden by Islamic shari’a are Dhul-Qi’dah (“month of rest”), Dhul-Hijjah (“month of Hajj”), and Muharram (“forbiddenâ€). So, there are four months during which no warfare is allowed, it also has been confirmed in the Quran (9:36).
Islam teaches that the Prophet Mohamed specifically said that there was to be no fighting and warfare during these months. He said this in his last sermon. It’s pretty safe to assume, since he died the next day, that he didn’t change this command.
How come it’s ok for Muslims to riot and fight during those months? That burned out KFC and the angry mobs sure looked like the results of fighting to me. And it’s certainly the month of Muharram.
Do you get to pick and choose which Islamic laws you follow?
Do you get to pick and choose when to follow them?
Woops, apparently Mohamed himself got to pick and choose. According to the verse (9:05) quoted above, when sacred months have passed it becomes an obligation for Muslims to go out and kill some pagans. This is not self-defense but sadism.
Interestingly, Mohamed himself fought many wars during those sacred months. The first war, “The battle of Badr†took place on the 12th day of Ramadan, 2 A.H.………, Muhammad attacked Bani Muhaarin and Bani Thalaba, in the month of Muharram, 4 A.H …… Egypt was conquered by Umar in the month of Dhul-Hijjah…… Muhammad was an extremely active person and he did not take rest in the month of Dhul-Qidah either. The famous battle of Khandaq (trench) happened in the month of Dhul-Qidah, 5 A.H…….. Rajab means “to respectâ€, but Muhammad did not respect the Quran either, the last battle of his life, “The battle of Tabook†occurred in the month of Rajab, 9 A.H.

Well, you shouldn’t judge Islam teachings from outside, but one should examine them more deeply so that one can understand why they were put and in which circumstances the teachings are valid.
A point that most non-moslems find terribly bad in Islam is “Jihad” which in many places means “fighting non-moslems”. Let me try to explain this point a bit (although I’m actually quite far from being a theologist…)
Islam as a religion is intended to organize the life of people so that everything is done in the “best” possible way. When Islam was first introduced, people were non-moslems and the Mohammad started to tell people about Islam (a set of instructions that if followed properly, will make their life much better). Obviously, many people didn’t like the idea for many raesons (they do follow already another religion, Islam teachings may threaten their positions, ….) while many people liked the idea (especially poor people, oppressed people and slaves). They find the ideas of islam beneficial for them since the teachings of Islam (as in many other religions) try to spread equity and better relations among people. I’ll not elaborate more on the purposed of Islam and one can read them in many sources (hopefully not falsified…). People how didn’t like these ideas were mostly powerful (they have a lot of money and power) and they were worried about their future since many of their slaves were following the new teachings. They decided to kill Mohammad and get rid of the entire thing. There were many attempts to do so, but for many reasons they coudn’t and Mohammad managed to escape from Mecca (the city in which he started telling people about Islam) to another city were many people have already accepted the new ideas and joined the new religion.
Now, for those people to survive, they had to defend themselves, since many many other people were angry with the growing power of the new religion. Defening oneself is something legal as I think…
During the life of Mohammad (after estblishing his power) moslems had many fights with other people. Each fight has its reasons. They were of two types
1- Defending moslems from others who attacked them several times.
2- Fighting systems at that time who prevented moslems from spreading there teachings. Moslems didn’t force anybody to follow their teaching. Christians and jews were allowed to practice their own religions. But the empires at that time were afraid of the speard of Islam among their people, that’s why they fought agains moslems. But eventually, moslems succeeding in reaching people and many many of them coverted voluntary to islam and many others prefered to stay christians or jews (which was absolutely accepted).
The first type is always neccessary. One should defend himself in all months.
The second time type restricted to some months. In fact, moslems first negociated with the governing system and many of them welcomed them. Moslem fought only people who refused the spread of islam. The second type can’t be practiced unless moslems are powerful enough.
This was mostly about the past.
Nowadays, moslems are by no mean powerful, so they can only fight to defend themselves. It’s not legal for moselms to kill innoucent people in one country who didn’t fight them. All such actions are prevented in islam were killing somebody is the most offensive crime one can commit! Unfortunately, many people commit such a crime in the name of islam… The sad events in Sept 11 or in London or anywhere are not done by real moslems at all. They are either done by stupid people who don’t understand islam or by people who want to destroy the image of islam and present it as a violet terrorist religion. Ofcourse nobody kills himself only to damage the image of islam so, in the latter case, they may convince some stupid moslem to do so…
As for protest in the islamic world in response the publication of the offensive cartoons, unfortunately, many moslems are doing bad things. They must avoid violence and try to convince their message peacfully. It’s true also that many systems in the islamic world try to indirectly encourage violance!…
Anyway, violence is commited everywhere in the world for trivial reasons: Money and Power. Look at this world (apart form the problems attached to islam): many people are dying for nothing, many people are almost slaved, inequity, slavery, … Islam actaully tried to address those very problems…
One should not look at the situation of the moslem world when one wants to think about Islam. Actually most people in the moslem world don’t understand islam at all. They moslem world is underdeveloped because people there prefered to be lazy and non-productive and they left science and technology (although islam encourage both)…
I’m sorry to post such a lengthy comment in a very broken english. Have a nice day everyone!
Your English is very good, and thank you for your comments, Bilal. The reference above is from Laura Mansfield who was married and had children with a jihadist and lived in Cairo for 7 years.
Unfortunately, we are dealing with the kind of jihad (not internal struggle) but waging jihad against the infidel all across the world.
And you are right; Islamofascism does not generally support education you can see that with how the Taliban is killing teachers in Afghanistan and numerous other examples; of how women are now allowed to go to school or mix with men in any way, etc.
I saw a frontpage picture of young girls here in the states who were playing basketball wearing the hijab because the pictures were going to be seen by men.
It’s extremely backwards, they’re trying to build a bridge back to the 7th century, and unfortunately the Islamic scholars are the ones who are quoting from the Qu’ran, hadith and sunnah encouraging the ummah to fight and kill. Until that changes, I’m sorry, but my opinion of this will stand.
