And please join Bill Brady as he marches in the St. Patrick’s Day Parades in Naperville and Elmhurst, Saturday, March 13. Email DuPageforBrady@gmail.com for meet-up details1
  • DIERSEN HEADLINE: A “subject to change” agenda is posted for the March 20 State Central Committee meeting in Springfield 2 3

Some obvious questions:

– Why doesn’t the agenda include a public comment period — for example, a maximum 30-minute period during which IRP candidates, elected officials, party leaders, and precinct committeemen and captains can address the 19 SCC members for a maximum of 3 minutes?
– Why doesn’t the agenda include reports a) from each incumbent SCC members on what they did to maximize Republican turnout in their congressional district for the February 2, 2010 primary election and b) from each of the newly elected SCC member on what they are going to do to maximize Republican turnout in their congressional district for the November 2, 2010 general election?
– Why isn’t SB600 issue and the voting vacant precincts by county chairmen issue on the agenda?
– What weighted vote will each of the 19 SCC members have?
– Who will each of the 19 SCC members appoint as their deputies, and why?
– Who are all the candidates for IRP Chairman?
– Will the 19 SCC members elect a new IRP Chairman during this meeting, and if so, who?
– If the 19 SCC members reelect Pat Brady as IRP Chairman during this meeting, will Brady immediately resign as IRP National Committeeman, and if not, why not?
– Who are all the candidates for IRP National Committeeman?
– If Brady resigns as IRP National Committeeman during this meeting, will the 19 SCC members fill the vacancy during this meeting, and if so, with who?
– Will SCC members who are anti-conservative be allowed/encouraged to publicly demonize and denigrate conservatives during the meeting?
– Will SCC members who are anti-SB600 be allowed/encouraged to publicly demonize and denigrate SB600 supporters during the meeting?
– Will SCC members who pro-Combine be allowed/encourage to publicly promote the Combine during the meeting?
– What is the IRP going to do to encourage IRP candidates, elected officials, party leaders, and precinct committeemen and captains to attend the meeting?
– When will the minutes or summaries of the minutes of past SCC meetings be posted on the IRP website?
– Will at least one SCC member who is anti-conservative, anti-SB600, and pro-Combine stand up and blame all past, present, and future problems on conservatives, on SB600 supporters, on Combine opponents, and especially on Dave Diersen and his GOPUSA ILLINOIS daily emails?

GOPUSA ILLINOIS

– GOPUSA ILLINOIS urges Illinois Republican Party (IRP) Chairman and National Committeeman Pat Brady, IRP National Committeewoman Demetra DeMonte, and all incumbent and newly elected IRP State Central Committee members, County Chairmen, Township Chairmen, and Ward Chairmen to urge their Precinct Committeemen and Captains to provide the results of the February 2, 2010 Republican primary election to the voters in their precinct. – Dave Diersen

http://www.gopillinois.com

Yesterday, I hand delivered to all but the hard D addresses in my precinct a copy of the February 2, 2010 Republican primary election ballot for my precinct marked with the number of votes that each of the 50 candidates received in each the 23 races on the ballot – a copy is posted on the Files page at www.DiersenForMilton9.com.

In addition, I hand delivered the following letter to each of addresses in my precinct that had one or more voter who cast a Republican ballot:

“Dear Fellow Republican:

Thank you very much for casting a Republican ballot in the February 2, 2010 primary election. The attached sample ballot shows how many votes each of the 50 candidates received in the 23 races.

We should all be very proud that of Milton Township’s 109 precincts, with 29%, our precinct had the 9th highest percentage Republican turnout — 129 of the 440 registered voters in our precinct cast Republican ballots. Gubernatorial candidate Kirk Dillard conceded on March 5. Bill Brady won that race by only 193 votes. To show how important your vote can be, if 194 more of our 440 registered voters had cast Republican ballots, and if all of them had voted for Dillard, Dillard, instead of Brady, would be our gubernatorial candidate.

I am one of those who are calling a world class DuPage County unity rally for Brady and for all the other candidates who won the Republican primary election. I have pledged $500 to help cover costs of hosting the event. I urge you to support all the candidates who won the Republican primary election. Please do not hesitate to contact me concerning any of them.

In my roles as your Republican Precinct Committeeman since 1999, as the GOPUSA Illinois Editor since 2000, as a member of the Illinois Center Right Coalition Steering Committee 2003-2007, as the Chairman of TAPROOT Republicans of Illinois since 2005, and as a member of the 2008 Illinois Republican Party Platform and Resolutions Committee, I have come to know all of them and many of them very well. Most of them have published campaign websites which contain information about their positions on the issues, their qualifications, their accomplishments, their endorsements, etc. – website addresses are posted on the Candidates page at www.DiersenForMilton9.com.

Please consider helping one or more of them win the November 2, 2010 general election, for example, by displaying their yard sign. If you have any questions concerning voter registration, please phone the DuPage County Election Commission at 630-407-5600. If you might possibly be interested in serving as an election judge, please contact me. Again, thanks very much for voting.”

I fully realize and appreciate the fact that I have a manageable — I can hand deliver something to every address in only 3 hours.

I did not recommend any of the candidates on the ballot because the Combine members and other anti-conservatives who dominate the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), the DuPage County Republican Central Committee (DCRCC) , and the Milton Township Central Committee (MTRCC), and their operatives, work extremely hard against any candidate that I might recommend.

Sadly, because of that, any candidate that I might recommend in a primary might get 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, or even 100,000+ fewer votes — just kidding, but not completely. The Combine members and other anti-conservatives who dominate the IRP, the DCRCC, and the MTRCC have scores, if not hundreds, of their operatives assigned full-time to demonize and denigrate me — just kidding, but not completely. Far too many IRP leaders focus on a) driving conservatives, that is, platform Republicans, that is, the base of the IRP out of the IRP, b) driving SB600 supporters out of the IRP, and c) promoting self-professed yes-men, yes-women, political thugs, and people who have done little or nothing to elect Republicans.

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES

(DIERSEN: Democrats and RINOs always say that Republicans are “kooks” and “extremists.”)

(DIERSEN: The “right wing” of the Illinois Republican Party (IRP), as Marin calls it, consists of conservatives, that is, platform Republicans, who accept the IRP platform and want candidates elected who can and will defend and advance that platform. Outrageously, many who promote Mark Kirk demonize and denigrate conservatives — they call them “kooks” and “extremists.” Obviously, if you demonize and denigrate conservatives, you are in the “left wing” of the IRP, you are a RINO, you really are a Democrat.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Says who? Adam Andrzejewski who, like four other Republicans, lost the GOP gubernatorial primary to Bill Brady.

Why is Andrzejewski worth listening to on this?

Maybe because the Tea Party folks were behind him and yet he’s arguing that conservatives like him need to coalesce around U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk, the pro-choice, pro-embryonic stem cell research, pro-gay rights moderate they love to hate. “People can complain that he is not on board with the platform of the party. And they have a point. But Alexi [Giannoulias] is our battle. And my battle is to focus on saving” a U.S. Senate seat. Andrzejewski’s goal, and by extension the argument being advanced by other voices in the right wing of the party, is to focus the conversation leading up to November on fiscal issues and corruption — not social issues. Especially when it comes to the race between Gov. Quinn, a liberal Democrat, and state Sen. Bill Brady, a conservative Republican.

Quinn is already making the case that Brady is “extreme” on a whole spectrum of issues, including limiting access to birth control, pap tests and mammograms. Andrzejewski is a successful businessman who now runs a nonprofit, For the Good of Illinois, devoted to government transparency. He envisions the highly factionalized GOP coming together, he says, “Like Reagan in ‘80 and Gingrich in ‘94.” That’s because, he argues, audiences he encountered as a candidate might all raise their hands when asked if they voted for Barack Obama. “But no one raised a hand when I asked if they thought Illinois was well run,” he said.

Andrzejewski believes if they relentlessly hammer that home “there will be a Republican tidal wave in 2010.”)

DAILY HERALD

(DIERSEN: My precinct borders the Chicago Golf Club (CGC) . While I walked my precinct yesterday afternoon and as I am finalizing this email this morning, I heard what sounds like shotgun blasts from the direction of the CGC.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: Four coyotes were captured and killed near Wheaton on Monday – the same day the city announced it had hired a trapper to conduct “coyote control activities.” Professional trapper Rob Erickson caught the coyotes in an unincorporated area near Chicago Golf Club, officials said Tuesday. That is close to the southside neighborhoods where a string of deadly attacks on pets occurred, including a Jan. 27 incident involving a small dog in its owner’s backyard on the 1500 block of Camden Place. Erickson has written permission to set traps on private property with the owners’ permission and is complying with all federal, state and local regulations,

Deputy Police Chief Tom Meloni said. “They (the coyotes) live in the wooded sections where there’s brush and cover for them,” Meloni said. “What’s happening is that they’re coming out into the neighborhoods to search for food. That’s why he’s concentrating on the unincorporated pockets.”

The plan is to have Erickson target “diseased coyotes and coyotes that exhibit aggressive behavior” citywide. As part of his deal with Wheaton, Erickson received a $3,500 setup fee and will receive an additional $250 for each coyote he captures, officials said.)

(DIERSEN: How soon will the Democrats propose selling and/or leasing state assets? Communist China would provably always be the high bidder, and of course, outrageously, those who put “free trade” above America’s national security would have “no problem” with that.)

(DIERSEN: The Illinois Republican Party platform opposes the expansion of gambling.)

CHICAGO TRIBUNE

NBC5

(DIERSEN: Those who promote coyote rights over human rights and promote coyote rights over dog rights will certainly vote for Wheaton Councilman John Prendiville.)

(FROM THE ARTICLE: As part of Obama’s national “stimulus” plan for education, Illinois received $3 billion between 2008 and 2009. Judging by the massive deficits facing the state’s educational system alone, that money was a mere drop in the bucket-both for what is required to improve public education in Illinois and in comparison to the trillion-dollar bailouts handed over to the banks during the same period. Working people and students in Illinois, on the other hand, have been subject to declining living standards and educational resources for years. They are being forced to pay for the Obama administration’s multi-trillion-dollar imperial adventures in Afghanistan and Iraq, and for the casino-style swindling of the banks and financiers. The only alternative for workers and students in Illinois is to fight for a principled, socialist political program-one that places social need, democratic rights and rational planning above the drive for endless profit. Workers in Illinois should not view their growing struggles as separate, but rather, as fundamentally connected across all forms of industry and education, and without state or international borders.)
