Freedom of Religion seems to be construed by the courts as meaning suppresion of Christianity. Every ruling seems to be working towards not offending anyone of any faith outside of Christianity, but what about offending Christians? Christmas is not a secular holiday; it is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Watering it down to make it appear as anything else is not allowing Christians to practice our religion freely. I really don't understand how someone of another faith can be offended when all they have to do is simply not recognize the day. Instead, they try to turn it into a secular, commercial occassion to keep retail stores in business. They tell Christians to change the channel if they don't want to watch what the networks air on TV, so why don't they ignore a Christian holiday if they don't wish to practice it?
