Craig Becker (SEIU’s former general counsel, nominated to the National Labor Relations Board where he was likely to pursue card check without a vote of Congress) failed to get the 60 votes needed for cloture. 52 Democrats voted for cloture, with two voting no: Lincoln (Ark.) and Nelson (Neb.).

The preliminary report shows that the primary cause of her death was “community-acquired pneumonia,” with contributing factors of “iron deficiency anemia” and “multiple drug intoxication.”
