This declaration was very controversial because several people in the group registered complaints with Judy about her Press Release. Only two members of the precinct committeemen group are T.E.A. Party members. Sherry Pierce insists, and rightly so, that T.E.A. Party groups can’t endorse anyone because it’s a violation of their corporate charter.

As if Joshua Hoyt wasn’t enough–now we have Proft’s recent pronouncement with his usual flourish and aplomb, that his campaign was endorsed by Steve Rauschenberger. This guy can’t win for losing. While his words say one thing, what we’re seeing is another. Steve Rauschenberger is an illegal alien’s best friend.

On Thursday night, the Schaumburg Township Republican organization endorsed conservative Republican Dan Proft for Governor. Despite a crowded field of seven candidates, Proft garnered the required 60% vote of Schaumburg Township GOP precinct captains to secure the endorsement on the first ballot. “This is a big win for our campaign and I personally am honored by the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization’s endorsement,” said Proft. “I want to thank Committeeman Mike Adelizzi and the entire Schaumburg Township Republican Organization.” -From the press release.
