A national immigration enforcement advocacy group is warning members of Congress that the public backlash against the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty bill to be filed by Congressman Luis Gutierrez today is going to ignite an unprecedented political fire storm which will cost many members of Congress their jobs in 2010.

“People feel shocked and completely betrayed that any elected official would propose legalizing illegal immigrants, stopping local police from enforcing immigration law, and stopping increased border security when we have over 15 million Americans out of work,” said William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC). “The backlash on this bill is going to dwarf the rancor and contentiousness of the healthcare debate and for good reason. The current push for Amnesty is a prime example of how disconnected Washington has become from the views and opinions of average Americans.

Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) and other Democratic members of Congress are expected to file their new bill today. In a letter circulated to lawmakers last week, the bill sponsors promised to legalize the illegal aliens in America, stop the 287(g) program which allows local police to enforce immigration laws, and stop any expansions of border patrol forces or barriers on the border.

A large collection of certified scientific polls at ALIPAC.us illustrate that public opposition to this new Amnesty bill will be in the 70-80% range.

ALIPAC activists across the nation stand ready to light up the phone lines in Washington with the following messages.

The Obama and Gutierrez supported Amnesty legislation will hurt the over 15 million innocent Americans who are unemployed. It will cost American taxpayers billions more in stolen tax resources. It will lead to more illegal immigration. It is favored by powerful special interest groups but opposed by a large majority of Americans. It will destroy any political hopes for future border enforcement or immigration enforcement.

“ALIPAC’s goal is to defeat this new amnesty legislation and to channel public anger and energy into the 2010 elections, when we hope to help throw more members of Congress out of office than any prior election in the history of the United States,” said William Gheen of ALIPAC. “This legislation will permanently destroy the borders and the United States as we know it. Americans of all races, political parties, and walks of life want immigration enforcement, instead of AMNESTY.”

ALIPAC has over 30,000 national supporters and recently became the most supported organization in the immigration debates within the social media of Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook. Found on the web at www.alipac.us the organization is credited with having played a key roll in defeating three prior amnesty legislation attempts in 2006 and 2007. In the last two years, ALIPAC has focused on state level legislation where the group has won over 90% of the legislative battles passing pro-enforcement legislation and defeating pro-Amnesty legislation.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) will introduce his “Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity” on Tuesday, December 15. Amnesty to over 12 million illegal aliens is on its way.

Amnesty advocates can count on millions of dollars from the likes of the Ford Foundation and groups supported by billionaire George Soros, and of course, waffling compromising politicos who sense what side their bread is buttered on.

Bend over, America…here it comes:

December 11, 2009

Rebecca Dreilinger (202) 225-8203

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Washington D.C.) On Tuesday, December 15, Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez (D-IL) will introduce new legislation, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009 (CIR ASAP), to the U.S. House of Representatives. Gutierrez will be joined by members of many different faiths and backgrounds, including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Black Caucus, Asian Pacific American Caucus and Progressive Caucus.

Who:

Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez (IL-4), Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Immigration Task Force
Rep. Nydia M. Velázquez (NY-12), Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus
Rep. Yvette D. Clarke (NY-11), Whip of the Congressional Black Caucus
Rep. Lynn Woolsey (CA-6), Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus
Rep. Judy Chu (CA-32)
Rep. Joseph Crowley (NY-7)
Rep. Pedro R. Pierluisi (PR-At large)
Rep. Jared Polis (CO-2)
Rep. Jan Schakowsky (IL-9)
Rep. Jose E. Serrano (NY-16)

Other Members of Congress

What:Introduction of Comprehensive Immigration Reform Legislation

When:12:30 pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Where:Room 2220, Rayburn House Office Building

“We have waited patiently for a workable solution to our immigration crisis to be taken up by this Congress and our President,” said Rep. Gutierrez. “The time for waiting is over. This bill will be presented before Congress recesses for the holidays so that there is no excuse for inaction in the New Year. It is the product of months of collaboration with civil rights advocates, labor organizations, and members of Congress. It is an answer to too many years of pain —mothers separated from their children, workers exploited and undermined security at the border— all caused at the hands of a broken immigration system. This bill says ‘enough,’ and presents a solution to our broken system that we as a nation of immigrants can be proud of.”

Press should confirm their attendance with Rebecca Dreilinger at 202-225-8203 or via email at Rebecca.Dreilinger@mail.house.gov.

###

From RightSideNews:

On December 11, 2009, former Rep. Virgil Goode, who represented Virginia’s Fifth Congressional District from 1997 to 2009, wrote an editorial making the case for why the United States should enact an immigration moratorium. (Townhall.com, December 11, 2009).

In the editorial, Mr. Goode makes the case that 25 million American citizens who are currently out of work have been pushed out of the workforce, not just by illegal aliens, but also by certain legal immigrants. Today, according to the Census Bureau, nearly 1 in 6 workers (which is roughly 16 percent) is foreign born – the highest ratio since 1920. When Senator Ted Kennedy passed his 1965 immigration bill, the percentage of foreign born workers was only around 5 percent.

Mr. Goode points out that since “the economic crisis began over a year ago, there’s been no discussion about reducing total immigration levels and we’ve allowed over 1.5 million new legal foreign workers in the country.” These numbers represent visas issued by the United States government, comprising “75,000 permanent work visas and approximately 50,000 temporary work visas every month.” These 125,000 individuals are then hired for jobs that, Mr. Goode suggests, should go to Americans first. Mr. Goode concludes by saying an immigration moratorium is an idea whose time has come.

Earlier this year, FAIR began tracking the issue of unemployment and the impact amnesty and immigration has on American workers. FAIR has just released a new version of the report, which can be found here.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is a national, nonprofit, public-interest, membership organization of concerned citizens who share a common belief that our nation’s immigration policies must be reformed to serve the national interest.
FAIR seeks to improve border security, to stop illegal immigration, and to promote immigration levels consistent with the national interest-more traditional rates of about 300,000 a year.
Maricopa Indictments Reveal “Pro-Raza, Good Ole Boy” Corruption at Heart of Arizona Politics
Agents Serve Warrant on “Chicanos Por La Causa”
December 10, 2009
CSII Press
Tucson Arizona
On December 07, 2009 the Maricopa County Grand Jury handed down a 27 count indictment against Maricopa Supervisor Don Stapley and a 36 count indictment against Maricopa Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox, alleging a conflict of interest, fraud, perjury, forgery and false swearing according to an article published in yesterday’s Arizona Republic.
Among other things, yesterday’s article revealed a scheme in which Wilcox allegedly facilitated the funding of more than 1 million dollars of county money to “Chicanos por la Causa” at the same time the non-profit was lending her $177,500 to operate a restaurant, El Portal, owned by Wilcox and her husband.
The indictment follows a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court on December 01, 2009 by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas against numerous Maricopa public officials, including superior court judges, which alleges “widespread conspiracy, federal racketeering, hindering criminal investigations and depriving their offices of resources.”
The federal suit alleged various Maricopa County officials, including judges, conspired to hinder Thomas’ and Arpaio’s investigation into financial improprieties surrounding the building of a new county courthouse, “judge fixing” intended to hinder the criminal investigation and prosecution of Supervisor Don Stapley, and other matters, all originating out of Thomas’ and Arpaio’s aggressive anti illegal immigration policies and the enforcement of federal immigration law.
Arpaio characterized corrupt Maricopa County government officials as part of the “good ole boy network.”
Thomas Charges Chief Judge With Crimes
On December 09, 2009, as part of his ongoing criminal investigation against public corruption, Thomas filed criminal charges against Gary Donahoe, Presiding Judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court, charging three felony counts of hindering prosecution, obstructing a criminal investigation and bribery.
Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court Rebecca White Berch, who assumed office several months ago after the former Chief Justice Ruth McGregor resigned in disgrace for using her office to promulgate “Pro-Raza” policies, ordered the case be heard by Pinal County Superior Court Judge William O’Neil.
Warden Has Investigated Same “Culture of Corruption”
For the past four years this writer has used a public forum to expose what he’s called “the good old boys and a dirty little secret,” which is: Pima County Open Border Policy and the widespread corruption of Arizona’s legal and political institutions by businessmen and leftwing “Pro-Raza” influences.
“For years, Pima County Legal Defender Isabel Garcia and her agency Derechos Humanos and the non profits Chicanos por la Causa, Border Action Network, No Mas Muertes, etc have been up to their eyeballs in aiding and abetting, enticing and inviting Mexican Illegal workers to populate Arizona’s construction and hospitality industries and create the Nation of Aztlan.
“For the past four years I’ve spoken out against the exploitation of Mexican labor. The local media have vilified me and branded me a racist for Burning the Mexican Flag—a symbol of the corrupt Mexican government—and trying to defend Mexico’s poor, all to divert public attention from the truth.”
Warden asserts there is a direct connection between the Thomas/Arpaio indictments of public officials and ongoing criminal investigations in Maricopa County, including allegations of federal racketeering and the corruption of state judges, and his investigations of the same kind of widespread corruption in Pima County, all founded upon the criminal use of cheap Mexican Illegal labor and Open Border Policy.
Warden has been arrested 13 times for his public speech and has endured four criminal trials and numerous other criminal proceedings in an effort to bring Pima County’s Culture of Corruption to public view.
“I’ve been impoverished by the legal actions the state has taken against me. Now I’m bringing a Petition for Review to the Arizona Supreme Court charging Tucson City Officials have used the police and the courts to silence the voice of opponents of government corruption and Open Border Policy.
“Everything I’ve endured over the past four years was orchestrated by the same kind of ‘Good Old Boys’ Arpaio speaks about.
“The difference between Maricopa County and Pima County is very simple,” Warden says.
“In Maricopa there are a few elected public officials like Thomas and Arpaio who have the guts to stand up to corruption, and to use the law to take down the ‘Pro-Raza’ hate groups and the ‘Good Old Boys’.
“In Pima County there aren’t. So We the People have to do it ourselves.
“It’s about time the American people started lending me a hand!”
