Public School Helps Parents Create 9-Year-Old Transsexual

Filed under: Faith in God @ 7:51 pm

From Van Helsing comes this article , that shows that Philadelphia is a haven for depraved moonbattery:

Parents of a third-grade student at Chatham Park Elementary School approached the administration on April 16 to ask for help in making a “social transition” for their child.

The Haverford School District consulted experts on transgender children, then sent letters to parents advising them that the guidance counselor would meet with the school’s 100 third-grade students to explain why their classmate would now wear girls’ clothes and be called by a girl’s name.

With help from moonbatty parents and educrats, childhood gender delusions can be nurtured into full-blown psychoses. The kid had better go into a lucrative profession, because he’s going to have hefty psychiatrist bills for the rest of his life.-Van Helsing

On BTR the other day I was listening to a very well-spoken woman from the midwest lament the fact that she has to teach her kids math and reading, while the public schools are busy “socializing” them and molding them into leftists, teaching them to ignore their fuddy duddy parents, and teaching them that religion is no longer fashionable. She expressed what I’d never thought about, but really hit me after she pointed it out: the public schools have their job mixed up. It should be parents who are teaching their kids about morality, not schools. And it should be schools that are teaching the basics of education - like math and reading.

But I could never imagine in my wildest dreams that parents would actually come out and ask a school to help their child to be transgendered; particularly at the tender age of 9.

Stacy had said that a basic part of child development is that children identify with the same sex until they become adolescents. We shouldn’t interfere with that, and we shouldn’t be using that natural part of child development as a reason to force homosexuality onto kids.

Christian ministry fined for firing homosexual

Filed under: Faith in God , The Lavender Lobby @ 5:26 am

From the AFA Online:

Christian Horizons is an evangelical ministry in Ontario that has cared for more than 1,400 people with developmental disabilities in 180 group homes. The group requires all employees to sign a contract agreeing to abstain from all sexual immorality, including homosexuality. When Christian Horizons fired a female employee who became involved with another woman, she complained to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, which fined the ministry $23,000 and two years back pay.

Here in America, the activists are following the same template:

Jordan Lorence with the Alliance Defense Fund believes the homosexual agenda will continue to persecute the Christian agenda as it gains power. He labels the Canada situation “a very significant threat to religious liberty.”

In addition, contends the attorney, it is another example that “whether you’re in Europe or Canada or the United States, when the homosexual activists gain control with their legislation, they show an increasingly authoritarian core to beat down any Christian or traditional-type opposition to their same-sex relationships and conduct.”

The tribunal, according to Lorence, also ordered the ministry to stop using the “no immorality” contract and to make its managers undergo training to force acceptance of homosexuality. He warns what that portends for the United States.

“We’re going to see this even worse across the country if the federal ENDA [Employment Non-Discrimination Act] legislation passes. Then — instead of just having 20 states that have this kind of legislation, plus a number of cities and counties — it would be basically all 50 states,” he laments. “Everywhere would have this kind of legislation that could be used as a hammer against people of faith who basically believe that marriage consists of one man and one woman,” Lorence points out.

We are standing at the edge of a precipice.

The ADF attorney says there is one difference between Canada and the U.S. in this arena. He believes the U.S. is “better prepared to fight off this assault on our religious liberties.”

Christian Horizons can legally appeal the tribunal’s decision to the Canadian courts. But the fact that Canada does not have what Lorence describes as “a deeply ingrained historic tradition of freedom of speech and religious liberties” does not bode well for the ministry, he believes.

Let’s hope and pray that we don’t fall into the precipice of political correctness that demands we remain silent. What the anti-discrimination laws and their associated human rights commissions in effect accomplish is not only to allow storm trooper type thought police to rule; but gives them the authority to persecute Christians for their beliefs.

wise like a serpent

Filed under: Faith in God @ 11:33 am

from bible.org

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16, KJV). Their serpent-like wisdom would govern the words they spoke as well as the activities they carried out. Jesus wanted them to communicate His message wisely, but without hurting the people who heard it—as harmless as doves.

Solomon had linked wisdom with words hundreds of years earlier. “The heart of the wise teaches his mouth,” he said (Proverbs 16:23). True wisdom affects the way we speak. Again, “The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable” (Proverbs 15:2). A person may have a head full of knowledge, but wisdom helps his tongue to express it in an appropriate and acceptable way. “But the tongue of the wise brings healing” (Proverbs 12:18). God’s wisdom, expressed through the tongue, results in healing rather than harm, just as the Lord Jesus said.

Some folks consider themselves to be wise, but their words hurt rather than heal. That leads us to believe there is another kind of wisdom besides God’s, and the Apostle James confirmed that. He, like Solomon, linked wisdom to the way we use our tongues. Immediately after twelve verses on the tongue, he wrote, “Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom” (James 3:13). He is talking about our entire manner of life, not just words. But we cannot eliminate words from what he said. He goes on to mention bitter jealousy and selfish ambition (v. 14), things which are normally expressed by destructive communication. “And where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing” (James 3:16). Unwise words harm rather than heal.

discrimination against Christ

“Secular” discrimination against religion is a great article at Townhall.com about the cherry-picked phrase that people keep bringing up in comments here: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,” but what they leave out is the rest of it: “or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech….”

Sadly, these freedoms of the individual are no longer respected. The ultimate freedom is no longer the freedom to speak or practice one’s religion, but the freedom to not be offended by anyone else. It is now seen as rude if one person defends their religious beliefs publicly. Beliefs about morality are no longer welcome in the public sphere. The only place left for religion is within the walls of a person’s home or church. This new understanding of religion’s place in culture has destroyed the freedom of religion which the Founder’s sought to protect. Worse yet, Americans have ceased to understand religion altogether.

This seems to be particularly prevalent in those who entered the liberal indoctrination centers after the Bible was removed from the public schools, prayer was removed, and even the pledge of allegiance attacked, because it dared to mention that we are ‘one nation under God’. This sounds more like the Soviet Union rather than America, but this is happening all over the world.

People do not realize that a “secular” public sphere inherently assumes that there is no God. Since every person’s religious beliefs impact the way they view the world, a secular sphere discriminates against those whose opinions are rooted in their belief in God. The secular sphere accepts the beliefs of the atheist—that God does not have an impact on public life. For instance, a Christian will often differ from an Atheist in his or her view of public law because their core beliefs are different. One example of this is Christians who oppose euthanasia on the basis that God gives humans life and does not give them the discretion to end their lives. In contrast, many atheists would argue that, since there is no God, humans are free to end their own lives whenever they deem appropriate. By removing God from the public debate on euthanasia, secularism discriminates against the opinions of the Christian.

It reminds me of how Hitler sought not only to destroy Jews, but went after Christians and the Christian church. He saw Christianity as an extension of Judaeism, which he felt also needed to be destroyed. So much so, in fact, that he agreed more with Islam; which teaches its adherents that Christians are the descendants of pigs and monkeys, and are less-than-human. This makes it easier to whip up a frenzy among the masses to kill the infidel.

The religion of the evolutionist that denies the existence of God is still religious, and paves the way to justify genocide.

This kind of religious discrimination is seen clearly in a recent lawsuit filed in the UK by The Christian Institute against Google. The Christian Institute sought to purchase an advertisement from Google, “so that whenever the word ‘abortion’ was typed into the popular search engine, its link would appear on the side of the screen.” Google refused this request, stating, “At this time, Google policy does not permit the advertisement of web sites that contain ‘abortion and religion-related content’”.

If Google had simply declined to allow advertisements involving the controversial topic of abortion, their decision would be completely understandable and fully within their rights as a private company. By removing a controversial topic from their advertisements they would not be discriminating against one religious view in favor of another. But this is not what they did.

Instead, Google accepted “adverts for abortion clinics, secular pro-abortion sites and secularist sites which attack religion,” while refusing to accept The Christian Institute’s “religious” ad. They did not shun the topic of abortion—just the “religious” view on abortion. In other words, they have discriminated against those whose view on abortion is influenced by their belief in God in favor of those whose view on abortion is influenced by their belief that God does not exist. This is a clear case of a company choosing to discriminate against one religious view in favor of another, and it is unsurprising that The Christian Institute filed suit against Google, claiming they had violated the UK’s Equality Act 2006 which outlaws discrimination “on grounds of religion or belief”.

Google’s policy is yet another example of the modern embracing of secularism. People no longer understand that everyone is religious.

An atheist’s viewpoint should not be promoted as that which everyone should accept, as this is discrimination against everyone else. Secular humanism is also a religion. And what’s worse is, the majority still believe there is a God, and 70% or more believe as Christians do, so this is discrimination against the majority of people in order to promote their silence in the public square.

I was thinking of this in terms of the ‘day of silence’ that the gay activists promoted in schools here in the US, which took place this past Friday here in the US. What it really represents is how public schools, with our tax dollars, are forcing the secular humanist belief system on Christian believers. This is forcing silence in the public square on those who believe in God. Because although they claimed it was a ‘day of silence’, activists were allowed to hand out pamphlets and propaganda promoting their view, and the majority were told to ‘be silent’. What are they afraid of? If their view is infallible, why not invite conversation on the topic?

Liberals expect that certain protected groups be given preferential treatment over everyone else, and this is why they are promoting the idea of some groups being ‘more equal’ than others. This is communism; a world without God; which turns it into a vicious world of narcissism where every man thinks only of himself.

imagine if homosexual activists could just shut up

Filed under: Faith in God , General , The Lavender Lobby @ 6:40 pm

Join in the celebration: the Day of Truth, which is on April 28th.

Click here to learn the TRUTH about homosexuality.

This is a long post, but there have been a lot of things going on out there that I need to discuss. One is my friend Stacy Harp and a two-year-old conversation she had with a gay activist that the activists are using to demonize her, attack her and say all kinds of vicious things about her. When listening to that exchange, it struck me as not only funny, but truthful. Stacy has a tremendous amount of courage to face down these people and call them out on their lies and the mind tricks they’re playing on people in order to promote their agenda. Some of the pictures of these people and how they’ve doctored up photos of their opponents demonstrates the juvenile position, and how they have little to back themselves up; except hatred and nastiness. But it’s not as though Christians aren’t accustomed to being persecuted - Paul was someone who rejoiced in being persecuted for Christ’s sake. Not realizing that, and that Stacy is being a champion to her faith, they think they’re accomplishing something with all the time they’re wasting fighting her and in obsessed posts about her. May God bless Stacy L. Harp and her handsome Christian husband Randall K. Harp! And may God continue to bless them for taking the biblical way in the end of times - when all manner of false prophets are out there deceiving us into thinking that bad is good and good is bad.

By the way, if this person thinks she’s following in Matt Barber’s footsteps, I say good for her.

hate_against_kerns_devil-2.bmp

This is the photoshop that they did of Sally Kern (from Americans for Truth, here), depicting her as a devil - simply for standing up to these bullies. They want tolerance for them, but they offer no tolerance for anyone else.

See here from LesbiaNation (doesn’t allow comments to unregistered commenters):

Sally Kern: Taking a Cue from Hitler’s Play Book

Unfortunately this person is wrong and misguided; Hitler’s playbook was from the socialist darwinian evolutionist playbook of the leftists of today, not Christian creationist capitalists; who are being chased out of the public realm, just like they were under Hitler. The myth of how gays were persecuted under Hitler is revealed in detail in a book called the Pink Swastika.

Excerpt here:

At the door of the Bratwurstgloeckl, a tavern frequented by homosexual roughnecks and bully-boys, Roehm turned in and joined the handful of sexual deviants and occultists who were celebrating the success of a new campaign of terror. Their organization, once known as the German Worker’s Party, was now called the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, The National Socialist German Worker’s Party — the Nazis.

The tactic of calling someone else names which you qualify for- seems to be the modus operendi of leftists today.

I guess we’re just supposed to ignore hateful emails like these coming from activists who appear to be like nazi stormtroopers:

——————————————————————————–
You sick motherfuckers. Dont you have something better to do with your time? If i ever see you in the street i will bash your face in.

Of course, part of the insults they hurl are those about being edumicated - because if we’d gone to a university, surely we would have learned the same loving ‘tolerance’ that they display. More here, directed at Sally Kern:

heard what you said and you should be killed you stupid cunt bitch! along with George W. Bush! Christianity is the cancer in our society and should be eliminated!

So these people advocate our deaths and threaten us, but that’s not hate???

You’re a horrible person who deserves to burn in hell. Go eat ur closeted girlfriends loose old vagina, stupid bitch looking like a cheep crack whore. Go suck some dick for money or friends WHORE *kisses* you stupid dyke

It’s funny that these people are gay but they think calling someone a dyke is an insult. I think Sally Kern was right - these people are demonstrating with their behavior that they’re domestic terrorists.

The video above is in response to a nationwide initiative, the day of silence, that will force our children to recognize something that we simply don’t see in the news media. The story they’ve chosen to puncutate their point is the story about 15-year-old Lawrence King, who was allegedly murdered because he was gay. I can find little about this story, but I find it–just like the Matthew Shepherd myth- seems to be promulgated by the activists, which leads me to believe it’s not true; or we aren’t hearing the whole story. This kid was troubled, wore nail polish and makeup, and was shot by a fellow student. But what they’re trying to accomplish with this - is promote the idea of ‘hate crimes’ like they have in the European Union - an assault on Christian values and freedom of speech.

It should be enough that the kid murdered another kid. He should be prosecuted for THAT. This hate crimes stuff should be thrown out the window, IMO…it’s contrary to our modern day laws, just like gun control is. Hate crimes laws are going to find Christians jailed for the most minor of infractions, and this type of propaganda and other theatrical displays are what are being used to force this on us. We are the ones that obey the law; so that is what makes this even more frightening to me.

Time:

According to the Los Angeles Times and KTLA, McInerney and some other boys accosted King about his sexuality on Feb. 11. Students apparently often taunted King, who didn’t even have a safe home to return to after school: he was living in a shelter for abused and troubled children.

The crime, a chilling execution carried out in a typical suburban school — allegedly by a boy who probably hasn’t started shaving — has shocked Oxnard and captured the attention of gay and transgender activists around the country. On Friday, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force released a statement saying, in part,

“Our hearts go out to Lawrence’s family — and to all young lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender kids who are — right now, right this minute — being bullied and beaten in school while adults look the other way.”

Another group, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) called for passage of the Matthew Shepard Act, which would dramatically increase the power of the federal government to prosecute hate crimes.

Where are all those cases of people being bullied and beaten?
chelsea-2_red_dress_party.jpg
Photo: Blue Oregon

Excuse me, but it appears to me as though these freaks are getting plenty of positive press. I’m sure if more of these bullied homos existed, we’d be hearing about it - because it’s part of the media’s agenda. Just as we saw image after image dragged out to bang on the Abu Ghraib ‘abuse’. Using anti-discrimination laws in order to include gays as a ‘protected’ group and pass laws against Christians and our freedom of speech is beyond ridiculous, since gays are a very small minority of the population. Since when did the minority get to dictate what the majority believes about sex-or ANYTHING? Is this now communist China or Russia? Now this ridiculousness has even been extended to those who are transgendered or transexual. Does this strike anyone else as completely weird and even anti-American?

Christian believers (like me) are not going out killing people in the name of their faith because someone is gay; it’s completely against the ten commandments, for one thing. Another is the golden rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you. For another thing, people who bomb abortion clinics are wrong, although I can understand their anger in the secular humanist religion spreading, and the humanists chasing out any references to God, the bible, the ten commandments, and all that made America a once-great nation. It’s hard to believe the gatheists don’t understand what it is they’re doing to other people; or simply don’t care. I wouldn’t have minded if they’d just remained in the closet–but we are compelled by scripture to take a stand on this and witness to them. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God….that’s why Jesus’ story is so beautiful.

And that’s why they find it so frightening - there is even a blog by activists called ‘ex gay watch’. As though it’s a myth that people are finding Christ and turning away from their sin. Therapists learn to help people like alcoholics, that man has the ability to change–but in the homosexual lifestyle, that point of view is suppressed and discouraged. Why?

Have you missed the ‘persecution’ that zillions of homosexuals are undergoing on a daily basis? The harrassment? The bullying? I mean have you noticed the news coverage- aside from the myth they’ve invented about Matthew Shepherd or the oddball Westboro Baptists? Matthew Shepherd’s killers admitted that homosexuality had nothing to do with the crime; robbery was the motive. The Westboro baptists are an aberration; they don’t bully homosexuals; they bully regular Americans at funerals of military personnel. So it goes to show they hate the military, which is neither a Christian value nor an American one. They aren’t - to my knowledge - even harassing the people they’re claiming to hate. You would think someone would question such a fantasy event when it seems to me that it’s completely the opposite….the homosexual activists are attacking Christians and trying to run them out of the public sphere, along with the Bible, the ideology that condemns the behavior as that of Sodom and Gomorra.

It’s odd that they try to apply this moral relavitism to their side of the argument and whitewash the horrors of the sexuality they’re promoting, while tearing down a lifestyle that promotes protection of the innocent, protection of children, and biblical principles, which is the way it’s been for centuries…and which to my way of thinking if all very good stuff. Having a father who is present as a role model for children is a good thing. He should be the spiritual head of the family. He can give lessons to children that two mommies could never do–even if one of them is like this transexual woman who had a mastectomy and was taking male hormones–she is still biologically a woman; her DNA is still female. Right and wrong, and laws that makes sense-are the mark of a civil society, as our founders have said.

The Bible was a text book in our schools until the ’60’s. There was prayer in the schools, and there was the pledge of allegiance which said “one nation under God”. Now they’re trying to strike all of that in addition to our ability to preach the Bible in public places. They’re trying to get rid of the word “Christmas”, and get rid of the baby Jesus in creches during Christmastime. Since the majority of us still believe that Christ is Savior, I think it’s about time that we pushed back on this nonsense.

But in today’s world, ‘anything goes’, and that includes things that I can’t imagine in my wildest dreams. I have a hard time with these acronyms because some of these activists are active members of NAMBLA - the North American Man Boy Love Association.

If homosexuals were bullied as they claim, why isn’t there more news coverage about it? The news coverage the homosexual activists get is so slanted in their favor that it covers up what is actually going on with this issue; like most news reports of today, regardless as to the subject matter. Being ‘bullied’ is a far cry from what is actually happening.

Peter LaBarbera:

we need an official government investigation of the health risks of homosexual practices — especially among men. Until we get one, this Food & Drug Administration (FDA) statement will have to do.

I challenge all those who make the dubious case that there is a disproportionately high health risk for males practicing homosexual behavior (compared to heterosexuality) to read this FDA policy explanation on banning blood donations from homosexual men. Those taking up my challenge can write AFTAH at americansfortruth@comcast.net. I extend my challenge especially to vocal pro-homosexual activists.

Will they sue the FDA for ‘discrimination’? Or will they complain that this is the result of bigotry? People need to get a clue that there are indeed health risks to this devastating “choice” that has creeped out into the public fore. Facing this head on is what needs to be done.

My buddy Stacy dreams about what it would be like if the homosexual activists stopped their attacks for just one day.

bliss…I say…it would be bliss…no lies against Christians for a day… or conservatives who agree homosexuality is sin….no mocked up pictures, no expletives and hate and anger towards people who realize homosexuality is a sin and unnatural, and no hate email from their minions that follow them….imagine…one could only hope…

The problem is…even if they shut up for one day, they would be back. They are relentless and sick, and in darkness, and we should pray for them. They spread their hate for the majority of Americans who believe in marriage between a man and a woman, and who are resisting teaching the lies about this deviant behavior in our schools; and are resisting the media whitewash; and are calling out the truth about homosexuality.

We are not supposed to be of this world…we are to follow what the Bible tells us; because it is only there that we can find the truth. And is from there that we can find out what even churches are promoting which are lies. Tolerance is a lie, if we are to be true to God. There should be intolerance for the culture of death, otherwise we’ll get sucked into it. And to a great degree, this nation has been falling for it.

But there is much more to the Christian aspect of this. Gay activists turn on Christians because we quote scripture and most of them are atheists. They turn on Christians because they are bigoted against an ideology that is clear about what is right and wrong, and condemns their behavior for what it is - deviant. They are pushing an immorality on us that is almost unthinkable; it is, in fact, part of the culture of death.

But what of the recent admission from a gay activist that the lifestyle is indeed dangerous?

By recently admitting that “HIV is a gay disease,” Matt Foreman, outgoing Executive
Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, acknowledged what the medical community has known for decades: the homosexual lifestyle is extremely high-risk and often leads to disease and even death. - Peter Labarbera

So if someone is choosing a lifestyle that could shorten their lifespan - like smoking, for example, isn’t it our duty to warn them? So why is it that gay activists are so adamant that these truths not be talked about? Why do they use the anti-discrimination laws in order to shield the public from knowing the truth?

One has to wonder with all of the facts that are piling up, why they continue their relentless attack on the freedom of speech of just one isolated group: Christians. As long as we spout the c-word, or mention the Bible, we are inherently evil because we see a distinction between what it is that they’re advocating, and what is good, honest and right.

When did ‘freedom of speech’ disappear? When did it become politically incorrect to have opposing views and debate them? When did it become acceptable to so viciously attack someone as the activists do Peter and Stacy for simply telling the truth? What is it that they’re so afraid of? No one is posting their addresses, or inviting violence on them–but I see plenty of that type of behavior on the left side of the sphere. They’re supposed to be promoting “tolerance” but they are incredibly “intolerant”. Nobody is telling them what to do - just that in our view, the lifestyle is wrong, and it is wrong according to the Bible.

We do it like a parent tells his child to look both ways when he crosses the street; out of love.

expelled: no intelligence allowed

The intolerance of Big Science in academia shows the Darwin paradigm as a secular religion. No intelligence allowed!

Ben Stein’s film is about the evolutionists and their thought police tactics regarding the antiquated theory of evolution.

Dinesh D’Souza wrote a piece about it at Townhall.com entitled “Ben Stein Exposes Richard Dawkins”:

In Ben Stein’s new film “Expelled,” there is a great scene where Richard Dawkins is going on about how evolution explains everything. This is part of Dawkins’ grand claim, which echoes through several of his books, that evolution by itself has refuted the argument from design. The argument from design hold that the design of the universe and of life are most likely the product of an intelligent designer. Dawkins thinks that Darwin has disproven this argument.

So Stein puts to Dawkins a simple question, “How did life begin?” One would think that this is a question that could be easily answered. Dawkins, however, frankly admits that he has no idea.

Read the entire article. The complexities of life and how we came into existence-simply cannot be explained by that out dated Victorian “theory” that is being taught in our schools without any other alternative.

What is even more entertaining beyond the infinitesimal impossibility of this all coming together ‘by chance’ - is the fact that Dawkins then proposes the “ET Theory”; that life evolved, but was set into motion by intelligent beings from outer space.

So now that Dawkins has admitted that evolution provides no explanation for the origins of life, and we are left with the notion that it has to be either ET or God.

It isn’t as big a leap of faith to believe in God as the creator of all things when you put it into that context.

Chuck Norris has a piece up on Worldnet Daily about this entitled “Win Ben Stein’s Monkey”

What’s surprising to me is that this debate is framed by atheists (who have their own religion that they’re trying to push on everyone else) in terms that are incredibly odd–that it’s science against religion. Where Evolution is consider science (when there is no hard evidence that supports it) - and Intelligent Design is considered “religion”. ID is by no means a religious concept…it only supports the notion that it’s highly unlikely that-in the words of Ben Stein-when lightening strikes a muddle puddle, what emerges from that is a fully equipped 747.

Glen Beck’s book looks like it’s worth checking into, too.

the war on Christianity

Filed under: Faith in God @ 5:31 pm

If you doubt that it exists, read this article.

Last year, two Jewish researches went to college campuses to see how anti-Semitic the faculties are. Surveying 6,600 college professors, they found virtually no anti-Semitism.

Instead, they found a distinct bias against evangelical students: More than half (53%) of college faculty view evangelical students unfavorably. Mormons are next at 33%, followed by Muslims at 22%.

Let me put this in proper perspective: In the United States of America, professors are two and a half times more likely to view evangelical Christian students unfavorably than Muslim students.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise, although I wonder how many interviewed or surveyed the Jewish students who were told by Joseph Massad that they were terrorists. (See Columbia Unbecoming)

The study also found that: Professors are five times more likely to be atheists than the general public: 19% vs. 4%; There are far fewer Evangelicals among the faculty than the general public: 11% vs. 33%; Professors are more than twice as likely to identify themselves as liberal than the general public: 48% to 22%. (This is consistent with an earlier study which found that Democrats outnumber Republicans ten to one on college faculty.)

One has to wonder if they talked with Jewish students of Joseph Massad at Columbia University, who teaches about Israeli history from the “Palestinian perspective”. Or if they talked with anyone at DePaul about Klocek being forced out for pointing out to students that there is a nother side to the Palestinian conflict…other than the Arafat side.

Luckily, though, we have some happy news.

There’s someone speaking on college campuses capable of - without quoting Bible verses - showing students solid evidence why Christianity is the most reasonable worldview. Imagine further that the four-point presentation this person gives is so provocative and entertaining that not only Christians attend, but atheists and skeptics show up as well (swelling some audiences to over 1500 like a recent N.C. State presentation). Imagine that during Q&A atheists are treated respectfully, but their arguments are exposed as fallacious. And imagine that there is a book, DVD series, website and TV show available for follow up that strengthens Christians and challenges skeptics to consider Christianity.

You don’t need to just imagine it happening because it already is. Dr. Frank Turek, founder and President of www.CrossExamined.org, is leading a team of Christian apologists to conduct I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist seminars on college campuses and at churches across the country. The seminar, based on Turek Geisler’s award-winning book of the same name, is outstanding (back in September 2006, I told you that this is the book that helped bring Jimmy Duke to Christ).

We need to stand up and be vocal…because as I’ve mentioned before when referencing Silencing Christians…if we don’t, there will be a terrible price to pay for our silence.

This drawing apparently is not allowed in public because it makes reference to Christianity.

Yet references to Satan or the devil or a-okay.

Alliance Defense Fund attorneys filed a federal lawsuit Friday against the Tomah Area School District over an unconstitutional policy that bars religious free speech. Citing a policy prohibiting depictions of “blood, violence, sexual connotations, [or] religious beliefs,” officials penalized a Christian student for his artwork depicting a Bible verse and a cross but did not penalize students who included demonic illustrations in their artwork.

Seems harmless to me, it just strikes me that our culture is turning on our heritage and the majority of people who have this belief system…despite the assault on Christianity…we’re still here. And are watching these outrages with growing concern.

I wish this were a joke.

But I thought Islam denies there is a trinity. Wright’s church is loaded with problems….the biggest its overt connections to radical muslim groups. The huge Islamic crescent here is yet another reason for pause…about Obama’s 20-something year relationship with Wright and Trinity.

Being they put Hamas’ manifesto in their newsletter, visually, it follows that other symbols related to this outfit are more related to Islam than they are to Christianity.

Not to mention Wright’s recent award to Louis Farrakhan, which helps one draw the same conclusion.

Anti-war protest during EASTER Catholic Mass

These people will stop at nothing.

What Bush’s evil war for oil has to do with a Catholic Mass is anyone’s guess…

Interview with Arthur’s Hall and Kat from Cathouse Chat

This is a departure from my usual “G” rated show, I would say the first part is “Mature Audiences” only.

Remember when…?

I’m feeling old….but…I love my ‘right to carry’…he reminded me just the other day how time has flown by. I can’t believe we’ve been together for 20 years…my younger son, who is now 24, was about 4 years old when we started rabble rousing…and I was going through my long divorce.

Things have a way of turning around…if you can learn from your mistakes. Otherwise, the same challenges keep creeping up. God is funny that way, as someone reminded me yesterday. He sends a message, and if you don’t ‘get’ it, He’ll send you a reminder or many reminders (lol).

Life is good.

The blogtalkradio show today -set for 3:00 CST
- with Arthur’s Hall of Viking Manliness will be like a bar room brawl…

And it’s Easter, so I’m conflicted. On the tail end of the show, I’ll be on with Kat from Cathouse Chat, and we’ll be pulling ourselves together from manly talk - to talking about Christ’s Resurrection and its meaning.

Here’s her post for today: “He is Risen!”

EASTER OTB - He is risen!

Brite Divinity School To Honor Jeremiah Wright

Filed under: Faith in God @ 4:37 pm

In this article at the American Thinker, Lee Cary asks some very interesting questions. Because the school is getting inundated with calls, they’ve decided to move the award ceremony off campus. Still, I don’t believe that is enough.

See:

Hate Preach: Brite Divinity School To Honor Wright

The school denies (or ignores) Wright’s hatred of whites and makes no mention of his calling Condoleeza Rice a skeeza. Look at how they’re fawning over his 20 years of fighting for ’social justice’ in the statement on their website. Is the church a place that promotes individual responsibility, as Jesus did, or has it morphed to a social engineering agenda which has us dismiss holy matrimony for the protection and creation of children-and instead recognize beastiality, pedophelia, sodomy and other deviant behavior ‘choices’.

TCU moves event honoring Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright off campus

For some reason this reminds me of Yale accepting a member of the Taliban as a member of its student body over qualified recipients.

Disgusting.

Personally, I think this isn’t that much different than this.

I actually find what is acceptable in their culture very disturbing…not to mention honor killings, and their treatment of women in general including genital mutiliation in some Islamic countries…

Good Friday

Filed under: Faith in God , General @ 5:39 am

Today is Good Friday, the day that commemmorates the anniversary of Christ’s crucifixion and death.

Jesus died on Friday and rose from the dead on Sunday, which would place the Last Supper on a Thursday night. Scripture tells us that Jesus rose from the dead “early on the first day of the week”

Mark 16:2And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. - King James Version

It was on the same day (the first day of the week) that Jesus met his apostles on the road to Emmaus

Luke 24:1Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. - King James Version

John also confirms that Jesus rose on a Sunday

John 20:1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. - King James Version

Of course, the crucifixion and the resurrection on Sunday are both things that organizations like the ACLU want wiped from the public sphere. Easter is more important than Christmas because it’s the reason -as opposed to muslims who have the tomb of Mohammed…we have an empty tomb. Christ lives! He died for us; he is God’s gift to us of eternal salvation, and it is an unconditional gift. All we need to do is accept it.

There is a war raging even against the Easter Bunny, because apparently it rings of Christianity to atheists.
