Kris Goldsmith leaves IVAW–& IVAW frauds etc.

Read his resignation letter at “This Ain’t Hell”.

Jonn makes a very interesting observation at the end -

As I’ve written before, the REAL veterans of the war are leaving IVAW so that the only people left are the Matthis Chirouxs, the Carl Webbs and all of the other deserters and cowards who don’t have the gumption to do what they’re ordered to do. It’s probably time for them to change their name to Cowards Against the War since the only folks staying are the ones who never set foot outside of the States.

But read the whole thing as it’s very enlightening - particularly the comments that followed the letter, also at “This Ain’t Hell”.

waterboarding is not torture

I don’t even know how they can argue this point with a straight face. Waterboarding is not torture.

Update: Meatbrain comes in comments and accuses me of lying, of course, and then - does some mental acrobatics, equating what the Japanese did to what we’ve done. Hilarious.

My response:

Well my small-minded, bigoted, hateful and purposely inaccurate friend, you neglected to notice that there was a link there when I said “waterboarding is not torture.”

It actually points to an article of the same name at Worldnet Daily by Joseph Farah. Not that you care-because you’re a narcissist who derives pleasure from negative attention seeking- but I’m going to put the article here so that people know that there are some telltale signs when something is linked, and I’m in agreement with Farah on this.

Waterboarding is not torture

Americans are simply losing their ability to distinguish right from wrong.
I don’t know how else to put it.

That surely describes meatbrain, Joe.

Up is down, day is night, left is right and right is wrong.

That describes meatbrain world, too!

A good illustration of my thesis is the growing political consensus around the idea that the U.S. should stop using any effective interrogation techniques that make our terrorist enemies uncomfortable – even those involved in planning acts of mass destruction and annihilation.

For instance, armchair generals are increasingly referring to “waterboarding” as torture and saying it must be stopped in all cases.

I have no doubts waterboarding is a very unpleasant experience. It must be so because it is considered 100 percent effective and usually induces cooperation within 30 seconds.

The technique of waterboarding involves pouring water on the head of a prisoner with the purpose of triggering a gagging reflex and the panic of imminent drowning.

It was used successfully to learn about terrorist operations planned by two of al-Qaida’s top operatives – Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, involved in the planning of the 9/11 attack, and Abu Zubaida, another leader of the terrorist organization.

But meatbrain would rather be dead than subject a vicious terrorist head hacker to anything that would make him ‘uncomfortable’ Very noble of you, MB!

Apparently both of these mass killers endured many hours of coercive interrogations without talking. But they sung like canaries after a few seconds of waterboarding.

In both cases, there is reason to believe planned terrorist attacks were foiled as a result of this technique.

I think meatbrain thinks like Billy Ayers, Naom Chomsky and Ward Churchill - that the victims of 9/11 were “little Eichmanns” and we deserved it.

Nevertheless, there is a growing chorus of opposition against any further use of waterboarding in similar or even more dire scenarios.

Let’s use our heads for a minute.

I don’t think meatbrain is capable of keeping his head; he loses it over the smallest things - and is incapable of critical thinking, which is why he comes up with these wild accusations, distortions and ridiculous assumptions.

Imagine American law enforcement or military authorities have captured a terrorist mastermind who has knowledge about an imminent nuclear detonation in an unknown American city. He knows the time, the location and the details about the warhead.

The bomb could be going off at any minute. It could kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

Imagine that it’s in meatbrain’s house.

Would you really want waterboarding to be banned under all circumstances? What alternatives would you suggest for quick results? Should we call in top negotiators from the State Department? Should we play loud rap music? Should we force the prisoner to listen to Hillary Rodham Clinton speeches?

Yes, I seriously think meatbrain wants to be dead rather than subject them to that embarassment.

While I also find those experiences unpleasant, I don’t think they would produce the needed results in time to defuse the bomb.

Let’s not tie the hands of future Jack Bauers who will need to do what they have to do to save lives.

I personally think Mohammed and Zubaida got off way too easy with waterboarding.

I would personally have performed far more unpleasant procedures on them without a twinge of guilt in my conscience. Real torture techniques would have been appropriate in both cases.

But here’s why waterboarding is not torture.

Do you know the U.S. military waterboards hundreds of our own soldiers every year? It is part of the conditioning Special Forces troops undergo to prepare for battle and the possibility of capture by the enemy.

In other words, it’s OK for us to do this to America’s best and brightest but it’s too horrible for our worst enemies?

Does this make sense to anyone?

It makes sense to meatbrain, LOL…but he doesn’t have a brain in his head - he has “meat”.

Many Americans are simply confused about the real definition of torture. Since so little sacrifice is required of most Americans today and because so few have ever experienced combat, they equate momentary discomfort or fear with torture. They are not the same.

My definition of torture is simple: It involves physical or mental abuse that leaves lasting scars. Cutting off fingers, toes, limbs – that would be torture. Forcing prisoners to play Russian roulette – that would be torture. Sticking hot pokers in the eyes of prisoners – that would be torture.

But a few seconds of dripping water on a prisoner’s face? That’s not torture to me

So if you have a problem with that, meatbrain, I’m sorry but I’m entitled to my opinion (even though you want me to only be entitled to YOURS).

It’s too bad, isn’t it? The majority of people still have common sense.

And…if you don’t like what Farah wrote there, take it up with Joe Farah and shut the hell up with your Open Society Institute style yammering at me.

The Japanese used a different method of waterboarding than we do, meathead.

LOL - from here

Critics of waterboarding seize upon U.S. denunciations of waterboarding foreign governments perpetrated against Americans in past conflicts as proof that our practices constitute torture. The keystone of their case is the conviction of several Japanese after World War II for waterboarding American and Allied prisoners of war.

Yet examining the differences between American and Japenese waterboarding throws cold water, so to speak, on this comparison. The few episodes of waterboarding following 9/11 were for very short periods of time and involved cellophane or a cloth placed over the mouth and nose so that no water entered the terrorist’s lungs, nose, or mouth. There was never any possibility, much less an imminent threat, of drowning. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed may have experienced a simulated sensation of drowning, for no more than a few minutes, which caused him momentary panic. But his life was never at risk.

The charges of which the Japanese were convicted reportedly involved the strapping down of prisoners of war to stretchers with warm water poured directly down their nostrils for 20 minutes or longer until they victims were about ready to pass out. In other cases, our POWs were reportedly dunked in tanks of water in such a manner that water was forced into their noses and mouths, and consequently into their lungs, for as long as an hour at a time. Some were slid first into a tub of water and kept there until almost drowned. After being revived, interrogation proceeded and they would be reimmersed. Sometimes, this was accompanied by severe beatings and stompings on the POWs’ stomachs.

All of this was classic “water torture.” Water was forced into the POWs’ noses, mouths and lungs, causing them severe physical distress from the aspiration of fluid and asphyxia. It was used to punish and elicit forced confessions. It bears no resemblance to the very carefully controlled waterboarding, involving no forcing of water into the noses, mouths and lungs of detainees, which was used by the CIA in very limited circumstances shortly after 9/11 to obtain vital life-saving intelligence from only three al-Qaeda leaders, including the 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed.

Of course, meatbrain wants to believe we’re the ‘great satan’ - and constantly equates the worst governments in history to America. By contrast to making terrorists ‘uncomfortable’ or ‘humiliating’ them with underwear on their heads; American helicopter pilots captured in Vietnam were just tied to a tree and skinned alive. Now THAT is torture.

As bad as waterboarding sounds, particularly when the NYT, Media Matters and the Open Society Institute keep repeating this BS over and over with parrot-like empty heads like meatbrain repeating it - waterboarding is physically harmless enough to be used in the SERE training course by the US Navy to train our own guys. (I’ve repeated this several times because if it’s torture to use it on a terrorist, then it’s torture to use it in SERE training. If it’s not torture to use it in SERE training, it’s not torture to use it on a terrorist.) In addition, there are doctors and scores of people present in order to ensure the safety of the individual being waterboarded, whether it’s a terrorist or military personnel.

Medical oversight was present from the beginning of the special interrogation program following the 9/11 attacks and became more formalized over the program’s existence. The earliest of the four memos, from August 2002, states that a medical expert with experience in the military’s Survival Evasion Resistance, Escape training would be present during waterboarding of detainee Abu Zubaydah and would put a stop to procedures “if deemed medically necessary to prevent severe medical or physical harm to Zubaydah.” (All interrogation techniques, the memos said, were “imported” from the military training.)

I don’t believe that such a thing occurred when a pilot in Vietnam was tied to a tree and skinned alive. Do you see the difference?

See also

the case for waterboarding

While other interrogation procedures employ raw force, intimidation or long-term duress, waterboarding brings the terrorist face to face with that which he himself seeks to inflict upon his victims – the horror of dying. Viewed in this light, waterboarding may well be the most just form of interrogation for this kind of criminal, because it gives him a taste of his own evil. The difference is that his anguish is stopped the moment he expresses a desire for it to be so. This, tragically, is something which his victims would never be granted. While the terrorist turns his prey into mangled corpses, waterboarding gives him a chance to see another day without being so much as scathed by his momentary ordeal. But even as he goes on living, we have in our possession crucial intelligence that will save innocent lives.

Marine LtCol Chessani Wins Another Round

Received through the messaging service at my youtube account. - no links provided. I will try to find an outside link to this report and if I do, I will include it.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009 (yeah, okay, so I’m somewhat late in putting this up!)

ANN ARBOR, MI - Yesterday evening, the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals (NMCCA), sitting in Washington DC, denied without comment the government’s motion for Reconsideration. Government prosecutors had asked that the unanimous ruling in favor of LtCol Jeffery Chessani, USMC, by a 3-judge NMCCA panel be reconsidered by all 9 judges. A majority of the 9 judges would have had to agree to take the case.

imag204.jpg
Chessani Case - Jeff and Alissa Chessani

The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor,
Michigan, has been representing LtCol Chessani since January 2007. He is also represented by detailed military attorneys LtCol Jon Shelburne, USMC; Capt Jeffrey King, USMC; and Capt Kyle Kilian, USMC.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center commented, “This case has turned into a government vendetta against a patriotic Marine combat officer who loyally served his nation for over 20 years. We must also remember the sacrifices made by his wife and children while he left them to defend us during 3 tours of duty in Iraq, and during the First Persian Gulf War, and in the Panama Canal.”

Thompson continued, “The lengths to which our own government will go to persecute one of its most loyal officers are outrageous. Every war needs a scapegoat, and it seems the government is intent on making LtCol Chessani that very thing. The Thomas More Law Center won’t let them.”

The criminal charges against LtCol Chessani stemmed from a fierce house-to-house, room-by-room combat action taken by four of his Marines after being ambushed by insurgents in Haditha, Iraq on November 19, 2005. In that battle, 9 insurgents and 15 civilians were killed. LtCol Chessani was the battalion commander of the four Marines involved in the action.

Every officer in Lt Col Chessani’s chain of command, including his reviewing General approved and commended him for his actions until the publication of a Time magazine article months later charging the Marines with committing a massacre. Claims of a massacre were later proved to be untrue.

On March 17, 2009, the 3-judge panel of NMCCA unanimously vindicated the ruling by Colonel Steven A. Folsom, USMC, dismissing all charges against LtCol Chessani on the grounds of Unlawful Command Influence. LtCol Chessani is the senior-most officer criminally charged as a result of the much-publicized and ill-described “Haditha massacre.”

In dismissing the charges against LtCol Chessani, Col Folsom described Unlawful Command Influence as the “the mortal enemy of military justice.” But despite the solid legal basis for the ruling, the government appealed the decision to NMCCA. NMCCA heard oral arguments on the government’s appeal on October 17, 2008. On March 17, 2009 the court ruled in LtCol
Chessani’s favor. The government appealed April 16, 2009. The Law Center responded to the Reconsideration appeal on April 24, 2009.

response.

In seeking Reconsideration by the entire panel of NMCCA, government prosecutors argued that the 3-judge panel misunderstood the difference between an officer’s rank and his billet (job). Essentially, the government argues that a full colonel in the Marine Corps could not unlawfully influence a Lieutenant Colonel if they held similar billet (job) positions.

The government now has 60 days to appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF). If the government loses at CAAF, they can seek a review by the U.S. Supreme Court. After all the appeals are over, the government can attempt to bring a new case against LtCol Chessani with a new convening authority (a new General overseeing the case if that new general so desires).

denial of the government’s motion for Reconsideration.

Another IVAW chump of a poster boy

Remember Jesse MacBeth…remember Scott Beauchamp? Well now we have Matthis Chiroux.
chiroux-flag.jpg

Upside-down flag Matthis Chiroux who isn’t thought of very highly by his fellow IVAW member and IVAW Winter Soldier participant Kris Goldsmith.

What is with this organization and why does it attract such loser/nut jobs?

I’m putting the information out there so everyone else can decide how much of a HERO this LIAR is.

How many people know that Matthis is a RAPIST? Yup, I said rapist. He admitted to myself, and a few other IVAW members to raping a girl while on assignment in the Philippines, and blamed it- not on himself being a complete douche bag… But he said the military life had made it acceptable. I say fuck that, because my entire time in the military it was NOT ACCEPTABLE TO RAPE A WOMAN. I have friends while in the military who volunteered to testify against rapists on active duty. Being in the Army doesn’t make you lose your soul, like Matthis would try to convince you. Knowing that Matthis is a rapist has made me cringe every time I hear him talk about what a progressive, or feminist he is. I’d like to find one feminist who’d believe his claim that it’s the military’s fault, not his, for him raping some poor little prostitute in the Philippines, whom Matthis told me he knew at the time, that she wasn’t a volunteer in the sex trade.

Matthis has spent money on drugs like COCAINE while living off the donations of peace activists and supporters. Is that what any of you donated for? Matthis has been accused of squandering donations in the past, and has shed the accusations because no witnesses came forward. I apologize for not coming forward before this, but I was there. Just before leaving for DC to lobby Congress on Matthis’ behalf, Matthis and I spoke at a fundraiser in Brooklyn and received $800 in cash donations. That money was meant to provide support for our mission. And Matthis had the balls to both beg people for that money and spend money on hard drugs (as in, drugs other than weed, which I know is highly acceptable in the activist circle). He also had the balls to let me believe that retelling my traumatic story time and time again for his financial gain was to keep his sorry ass out of jail. (Initially, I felt I owed him since he said my Winter Soldier Testimony was the inspiration for him to resist activation orders).

Matthis used my IVAW business cards (of course without my permission) to chop up the cocaine before he snorted it, while staying at his friends house in DC. Ironically, I had printed on those cards in large print, “THEY RISKED EVERYTHING, TO TELL THE TRUTH”, referring to the Winter Soldiers.

The truth is that Matthis has risked nothing, and he’s been shitting on the real Winter Soldiers, the ones who served our country when we were asked, and continue on to serve on a path of righteousness now that we’ve learned the truth. Matthis is an opportunist, a fake, a liar, a drug user, A RAPIST and far from deserving anything that labels his conduct as “honorable”.

Read the rest at This Ain’t Hell…but revealing that an IVAW member is a rapist and a druggie - it looks to me as though IVAW has begun eating its own.

Gitmo terrorists and Rosenbergs’ descendants; unholy alliance of hate

The question; “why did meatbrain care about me discussing the Rosenbergs and their granddaughter, Rachel Meeropol?” Meatbrain cared so much that he saved my page to his server.

Now granted, if meatbrain is in fact Terry Bisson as we suspect, then it is understandable that he would join the Rosenbergs’ grandchildren in spreading the lie that the Rosenbergs were innocent.

Sobell’s confession

Sobell still maintains that the information he passed along to America’s enemies wasn’t especially significant, but he has at last abandoned the pretence, which he maintained for nearly half a century, that he was never a Soviet agent.

Sobell’s confession is not coincidental. It came just days before the National Archives released long-secret grand jury testimony in the world famous Rosenberg espionage case. Nevertheless, it has definitively shattered one of the enduring myths of the progressive Left. For generations of leftists, the innocence of the Rosenbergs was an article of faith. It bolstered their self-image as noble, if misunderstood idealists, forever doomed to persecution by a corrupt American system. Columbia University professor Eric Foner’s claim that the Rosenberg’s were singled out as part of “a determined effort to root out dissent” was a typical expression of the Left’s revisionism. Sobell’s admission has exposed it as self-serving nonsense. The Rosenbergs’ were in fact guilty as charged.

Of course they were; the Venona Cables proved McCarthy right AND the Rosenbergs’ guilt. But you wouldn’t know any of that when reading the headlines from our watchdog media.

This much is apparent even to the Rosenbergs’ staunchest supporters: their children. Until Sobell’s confession, the Rosenbergs’ sons, Robert and Michael Meeropol, had championed their parents’ innocence. Even when declassified documents proved that Americans really had been spying for the Soviet Union, the Meeropols refused to acknowledge that their parents had been among them. As recently as two years ago, the Rosenbergs’ granddaughter, Rachel Meeropol, insisted that they “weren’t guilty of what they were convicted of.” But even for the Meeropols, this defense is now indefensible. Michael Meeropol told the New York Times after Sobell’s confession, “I don’t have any reason to doubt Morty.”

Rachel Meeropol is merely a product of her communist background, as are the rest of the Rosenberg descendants. They play out of the marxist playbook, and Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, just like our president now does.

The fact of the Rosenbergs’ guilt is of more than academic interest. During the Cold War, communist fellow travelers sought to undermine national security by exaggerating America’s abuses, often citing the Rosenbergs as an example. The trend continues today, as anti-war activists seek to portray terrorist captives as blameless victims caught in America’s clutches. It is no coincidence that Rachel Meeropol is a lawyer for the Center for Constitutional Rights, which represents Guantanamo detainees. As Larry Schweikart observes, “The modern-day Rosenbergs are the defendants in the Guantanamo Bay court cases that will be coming up.”

Their voices chime in with those of Code Pink, International ANSWER and the rest - for closing Gitmo, bringing the terrorists into our court system, and releasing them onto our streets. With communists, anarchists and gangs also causing millions of dollars of property damage and assaulting Americans at protests where the police do little to protect them- disaster beyond that whi looms.

May God help us.

Chavez calls on Obama to follow the path of socialism

Gribbit:

The Drudge Report headline states, ‘Chavez Calls On Obama to Follow Path of Socialism‘. I’m sorry to inform the fascist/socialist dictator of Venezuela but Obamaramadingdong has already inflated the federal government to its largest level in the history of our nation and implemented more socialist policies than even FDR. In a sense, Chavez is Obama light.

He makes some valid points.

Obama hadn’t taken office yet and already a New York Congressman allied to Obama came forward introducing a bill that would repeal the 22nd Amendment - you know term limits on the Presidency. Doesn’t that sound like something that Chavez tried in his home country only recently to succeed? How long has he been in power?!?

Obama is on a path to nationalize the banking system, it took Chavez years to accomplish that. He would like nothing more than to put the big 3 under federal control, again Chavez took years to take over the oil industry in his country. Speaking of oil, Maxine Waters (D CA) wants to “socialize - umm ummm ah….” the oil industry…

Chavez has done one thing before Obama, though. That’s having a photo op with Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan.
sheehanbenjaminandchavez.jpg

Although you can note that Jodie Evans (to the right of Sheehan and the left of Chavez),a proud co-founder of Code Pink, was a bundler for the Obama campaign. We can tell where our foreign policy comes from when Obama wants to “reconcile” with the Taliban….Jodie Evans is also a Bin Laden apologist.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions…this is so embarrassing…we are surely on our way to hell.

Gitmo humane but - doesn’t fit in the Code Pink playbook-so it’s still going to be closed

THE REAL GITMO:
100% HUMANE (New York Post) - by Peter King

Excerpt - but read the whole thing:

If there’s any scandal at Guantanamo, it is that the detainees are treated too well. Consider what I observed:

* Detainees get three full meals a day with a choice of menu.

* Each detainee receives a Koran and a prayer rug.

* Arrows throughout the facility point toward Mecca.

* Detainees receive full medical treatment - including psychiatric services. There is one medical personnel for every two detainees.

* Detainees who comply with regulations are allowed out of their cells for 1620to 20 hours a day and participate in various recreational and educational activities including soccer, language training and art classes.

* Noncompliant detainees - including the hardest of the hard core - are allowed out of their cells for four to seven hours a day. (It was particularly galling to observe a vicious terrorist reclining in the sun like a Palm Beach retiree.)

* Detainees have access to live TV, books and two daily Arab newspapers plus USA Today. (I suppose it would be inhumane to subject them to The New York Times.)

* Detainees are allowed to confer to discuss courtroom strategy.

* Guards within the facility are not armed and are regularly subjected to abuse and harassment, including having human feces and urine thrown at them.

These are not just my conclusions. The Defense Department has just finished its review of Guantanamo as ordered by President Obama and determined that conditions comply with the Geneva Conventions: “No prohibited acts were found and conditions are humane.”

We are at war with Islamic terrorism. Gitmo is a major front in that war. Closing Guantanamo could well mean releasing deadly Islamic terrorists overseas or bringing them to American soil. It would be craven surrender to left-wing groups and uninformed, self-righteous world opinion. We mus t do all we can to convince President Obama to reverse his decision.
Rep. Pete King (R-LI) is the ranking member on the House Homeland Security Committee.

This is the outrage that My Country Deserves Better has been talking about…even people within Obama’s administration have publicly admitted that there is nothing wrong with Gitmo.

But we’re going to close it, anyway.

Doesn’t make any sense…considering that the alternative is bringing them HERE.

It only makes sense to the Gitmo terrorists’ lawyers who don’t like having to travel that far to meet with their “clients”.

Obama jeopardizes American lives

From Move America Forward:

The evidence is loud and clear. The anti-American, anti-military pressure to close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center is endangering American lives. We have to persuade the Congress to stop President Obama from continuing this suicidal policy of treating terrorists like neighborhood pickpockets.

Does it make any sense at all to be releasing people just so that they can get back to their terrorist ways and continue plotting attacks against the United States?

trio_474903a.jpg
AMERICAN CASUALTIES LIKELY BECAUSE OF OBAMA DECISION TO CLOSE GITMO
GITMO DETAINEES LIKE THOSE ABOVE RETURNING TO THEIR MURDEROUS, EXTREMIST WAYS

Since his election President Obama has been scurrying around trying to find a way to close Gitmo to fulfill his campaign promise to the Code Pink and Move-On left wing organizers of his presidential campaign. This constant pressure even affected the Bush Administration that released far too many Gitmo detainees. There already are reports that at least 61 of them have returned to the battlefield to kill Americans.

Obama wants to continue to send these dangerous detainees back to their home countries, or EVEN TO THE UNITED STATES, which is a crazy idea. These other countries don’t have the interest we do in keeping these hardened terrorists behind bars. Time after time they escape after being returned to their home country.

The NY Times (of all places) reported today that the Saudi Arabian government had re-arrested 9 people who had been released from their “terrorist rehabilitation program” after it came out last week that 2 other men they had released joined up with Al Qaeda in Yemen.

This is a stark reminder of a lesson which we cannot forget – once a terrorist, always a terrorist! The men that our troops are standing guard over at Gitmo are DANGEROUS and here are 9 men that the Saudis thought were non-threatening, some of whom had been to Gitmo before, and still they returned to terrorism.

Obviously the terrorists were effective at convincing the Saudis that they were no longer extremists. But, as soon as they were let go they attempted to join Al Qaeda again and were arrested. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article5591235.ece

Last week we found out that another former Gitmo detainee, Said Ali al-Shihri, had been released from Gitmo, was sent back to Saudi Arabia where he then traveled to Yemen and joined Al Qaeda there as one of their top commanders.

In a video relating to this new position, Shihri proclaimed,

0022190fd3300ae4fcc401.jpg
“By Allah, imprisonment only increased our persistence in our principles
for which we went out, did jihad for, and were imprisoned for”

Shihri was a terrorist when he was brought to Gitmo, he was released on the promise that he would go home to Saudi Arabia and run his parent’s furniture shop, but when he was released it was clear that Shahri was STILL A TERRORIST.- New York Times

Are you going to let Obama decide that more of these terrorists are not a danger to society? Are we going to let these terrorists go back to their home countries only see them released and back to their terrorist ways?

Words cannot express how important Guantanamo Bay is to our national security. Detainees there give up vital information that helps our troops win the War on Terror and complete their missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But closing the base and moving these terrorists to other countries increases the possibility that they will go free. Some liberal politicians here in America have said that these Gitmo detainees are “no more dangerous than any other prisoner.” We can see from these and many other examples that they ARE more dangerous because once released they go right back to plotting bombings and attacks against targets in the U.S. and worldwide.

Please help us put pressure on President Obama to keep GITMO OPEN and keep the terrorists BEHIND BARS. America has enjoyed safety here because the previous administration was able to keep us safe from another 9/11. Do not wait for America to learn the hard way again.

The worst thing is that the alternative Obama is considering is bringing these hardened criminals into the United States. How long will it take before the ACLU lawyers and liberal judges start demanding that we release these terrorists into the United States because we didn’t give them their rights or were too mean to them on the battlefield?

This is a battle for the security of the United States and even your own neighborhood. Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Camp Pendleton, California, are a couple of places they are looking to put these terrorists. Other prisons and military installations around the country are being considered.

Save Club Gitmo!!!

What the heck are they up to? They claimed “they prevailed”.

Do they mean Franks’ proposal to cut the military by 25%? Or Obama’s preparing to move into the White House?

They didn’t prevail in their mission to get the USMC military recruiting office out of Berkeley; the office is still there.-and contrary to what the Pinko’s said about the recruiting office being “covert”, it’s a store front on a major street.

Obama bundler works with state sponsors of terror

by Kristinn Taylor, also posted at Free Republic, here

TOP OBAMA CAMPAIGN FINANCIER WORKING WITH STATE SPONSORS OF TERRORISM TO UNDERMINE U.S.
by Kristinn Taylor, Friday, October 10, 2008

Author’s note: It is commonly known that political visitors to totalitarian nations are only let in those nations if the visit serves the purposes of that government, the visitors are accompanied by minders and are monitored at all times and that the government facilitates propaganda events during the visits.

The following article is heavily documented with supporting links. The story it tells is very troubling for our nation. It is a story our news media refuses to investigate and report. Please forward this article widely.

A founding member of the campaign finance team of Democratic presidential nominee Illinois Sen. Barack Obama has been working with state sponsors of terrorism to undermine the United States in the global war on terror since at least February, 2003.

Jodie Evans, co-founder of the leftist anti-American group Code Pink, has documented ties to governments on the State Department’s list of current and former state sponsors of terrorism including Iran, Cuba, Syria and the former Iraqi government under Saddam Hussein. She also has endorsed and worked with the so-called Iraqi resistance that has killed over three thousand American soldiers and thousands of free Iraqis.

Evans is listed on the official Obama website as a bundler of between $50,000 and $100,000 in contributions. According to FEC reports, the official Obama website and news accounts, Evans has personally contributed over $40,000 to the Obama campaign—$4600 to Obama for America and around $36,000 to the Obama Victory Fund.

Evans served as a co-host for Obama’s first Hollywood fundraiser right after he announced his long-shot bid for the presidency in February 2007, just weeks after she returned from Cuba where she and Code Pink worked with the Castro government to protest the terrorist detention center in Guantanamo. Evans and Code Pink, who market themselves as feminists and human rights activists, blew off the Ladies in White, a Cuban human rights group that asked the delegation Evans led to inspect Cuban prisons where democracy advocates were being held by the Castro government.

The propaganda effort against the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo garnered worldwide sympathetic media coverage that undermined America’s efforts in the war on terror.

Evans and Code Pink’s trip to Cuba in January 2007 made up for their aborted effort to visit the communist nation the year before to celebrate the anniversary of Fidel Castro’s violent revolution.

In February, 2003, Evans traveled with Code Pink to Baghdad as a guest of Saddam Hussein’s government to lobby the world to keep him in power. Saddam’s government made a lasting impression on Evans. As late as summer 2008 she was still wishing that the genocidal, mass murdering tyrant was still in power in Iraq. She made a similar statement in 2006 pining for the ‘good old days’ under Saddam:

Let’s go back to the Iraq before we invaded, there was a good education and health care system, food for everyone. That system didn’t belong to Saddam it belonged to the Iraqi, it belonged to years of creating what a civilization needed. If your parents didn’t send you to school they could be put in jail.

Evans made several trips to Iraq in 2003 after the liberation. She worked with anti-liberation Iraqis to set up Occupation Watch in Baghdad. The purpose was to propagandize alleged war crimes by American soldiers and to recruit American soldiers into quitting the war by becoming conscientious objectors.

Evans did a propaganda interview with a communist newspaper in August, 2003, accusing G.I.s of wantonly slaughtering Iraqi women and children.

In December 2004, as the Marines were clearing out Fallujah from al Qaeda and Iraqi Sunni terrorists, Evans and Code Pink delivered over $600,000 in cash and humanitarian aid for what Code Pink called “the other side” in Fallujah.

(Giving cash and “humanitarian aid” to the anti-American or anti-freedom side in a conflict is an age old tactic of Western leftists as a way of bolstering their allies and prolonging the conflict without being accused of directly arming the enemy.)

In January, 2006, Evans traveled to Venezuela with Code Pink where she met with Hugo Chavez and protested against President Bush.

In April, 2006, Evans led a delegation to Iran. Blog entries by her and her fellow travelers are filled with propaganda designed to undermine U.S. policy againt the state sponsor of terrorism.

In June, 2006, Evans represented Code Pink at the World Tribunal on Iraq, a leftist-jihadist show trial held in Istanbul, Turkey, that proclaimed the ‘right’ of the terrorists in Iraq to kill Americans and free Iraqis:

There is widespread opposition to the occupation. Political, social, and civil resistance through peaceful means is subjected to repression by the occupying forces. It is the occupation and its brutality that has provoked a strong armed resistance and certain acts of desperation. By the principles embodied in the UN Charter and in international law, the popular national resistance to the occupation is legitimate and justified. It deserves the support of people everywhere who care for justice and freedom.

Evans herself gushed about her support for the so-called Iraqi resistance in an essay written in Istanbul:

“We must begin by really standing with the Iraqi people and defending their right to resist. I can remain myself against all forms of violence, and yet I cannot judge what someone has to do when pushed to the wall to protect all they love. The Iraqi people are fighting for their country, to protect their families and to preserve all they love. They are fighting for their lives, and we are fighting for lies.” (AlterNet, June 26, 2005)

In the summer of 2006, Evans and Code Pink traveled to Jordan and Syria. She and Code Pink wrote extensively about the Jordan visit, where they met with pro-terrorist Iraqi parliamentarians who urged them to seek recognition of the so-called Iraqi resistance.

The stop in Syria is clouded in mystery as none of the Code Pink members have written about what they did and who they met in Syria, except here:

From Damascus to Beirut: Arriving, Safely
By Medea Benjamin

Four of us—Gael Murphy, Judith LeBlanc, Diane Wilson and myself—split off from the rest of the group in Syria to make our way to Lebanon.

As noted at the beginning of this article, Evans traveled to Cuba in January 2007 to undermine America, then just weeks later she co-hosted Barack Obama’s first big Hollywood fundraiser.

In November, 2007, when Obama announced his campaign bundlers, Evans was on the list, as well as her husband Max Palevsky.

Evans got more involved in supporting Obama’s candidacy in 2008. In February she hosted a support Obama event and published an endorsement of Obama co-signed by several New York feminists.

On June 4, 2008, Evans was interviewed by radio talk show host Paul A. Ibbeston (Part One on YouTube and Part Two on YouTube.)

In the interview, Evans expressed her sympathy for the Sept. 11 terror attacks by al Qaeda that led to the murder of 3000 innocents, mostly her fellow Americans:

Jodie Evans:…”We were attacked because we were in Saudi Arabia, that was the message of Osama, was that because we had our bases in the Middle East, he attacked the United States.”

Paul A. Ibbetson: “Do you think that’s a valid argument?”

Evans: “Sure. Why do we have bases in the Middle East? We totally violated the rights of that country. Why do we get to have bases in the Middle East?”

Evans also expressed her “love” for the anti-American leader of Venezuala, Hugo Chavez, calling him a “sweetheart”, and admitted that Code Pink is trying to “undermine the war effort” of the United States in the war on terror.

Several weeks after that interview, Obama received Evans at a high-dollar fundraiser. Evans is listed by the FEC has having made a $7250 contribution to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising vehicle of Obama’s presidential committee, Obama for America, and the Democratic National Committee. The legal limit, $2300 of Evans’ contribution, was given to Obama’s general election coffers as she had already given the maximum allowed by law to his primary campaign, also $2300, at the Hollywood fundraiser she co-hosted in February, 2007. The balance of the $7250 went to the DNC.

Days after the event, a video was published featuring Code Pink’s Medea Benjamin bragging about Evans’ meeting with Obama.

In July, 2008, Evans joined other leftists in signing a letter urging Obama to keep left in his campaign that was published by The Nation.

The next month, Evans’ success at infiltrating the Democratic party was recognized with her being given the “Inside the Party” award by the Progressive Democrats of America, a group founded in 2004 at the Boston Democratic national convention to pull the party further to the left. Evans is known by her fellow leftists as a master of the ‘inside-outside game’.

Later that month, Evans attended the Democrats’ national convention in Denver. While Code Pink did their usual street theater outside the convention, they did not disrupt the convention inside. That is most likely because as a bundler for Obama, Evans was invited to private meetings with Obama and his vice presidential nominee Delaware Sen. Joe Biden after their respective acceptance speeches. From the National Journal:

After Biden’s speech on Wednesday night, bundlers are invited to an hour-long reception with the vice presidential candidate in a private room in the Pepsi Center, and then on Thursday morning, Barack and Michelle Obama are hosting a breakfast at the Hyatt Regency. After Obama’s acceptance speech, he is scheduled to mingle with bundlers at a private lounge inside Invesco Field.

The next week, at the Republicans’ national convention in St. Paul, Evans made headlines by trying to storm the stage during the acceptance speech by Republican vice presidential nominee Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Evans spent her time in St. Paul committing identity theft to gain access to the convention and related events.

Less than two weeks later, Evans was again received by Obama, this time at an intimate $28,500 per person fundraiser in Hollywood and again later that evening at a $2500 per person fundraiser that featured a performance by Barbra Streisand.

Evans capped off her month by meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in New York City. Ahmadinejad’s government has been funding, training and equipping terrorists in Iraq who have killed American soldiers and free Iraqis, as well as Hezbollah in its war against Israel, among many other activities that threaten the free world including seeking nuclear weapons.

Evans, who is no fool but is a propagandist, told Fox News after meeting Ahmadinejad that he is “really about peace and human rights and respecting justice.”

Ahmadinejad is also no fool. He would know that Jodie Evans, who visited his country in 2005, is in tight with the Democratic party’s presidential nominee and that Obama has stated his willingness to meet with Ahmadinejad and has downplayed the danger of Iran to the free world.

This raises the question of whether Evans was acting as an intermediary between Obama’s campaign and Ahmadinejad.

The American news media has utterly failed the nation by its willful failure to investigate and report the alliance between Barack Obama and the terrorist supporter Jodie Evans.

Evans has brushed off the few queries about this by saying her husband, Max Palevsky, is an old friend of Obama’s from Chicago and she’s just along for the ride. The evidence belies that story. Evans is a player in her own right.

In addition to working with state sponsors of terrorism, Evans works with pro-terrorist communist groups in the U.S. Those groups include The World Can’t Wait, ANSWER, Troops Out Now and United for Peace and Justice. Evans is the tip of spear of the pro-terrorist left into the heart of mainstream American politics.

There have been several calls from troop support groups for Obama to renounce Evans. He has ignored them and instead has drawn closer politically to Evans as the election draws near.

Obama said this summer he knows he needs to earn the trust to be commander-in-chief. He has failed to earn that trust, completely, by allying with Jodie Evans.

Ben Johnson and Michael Isikoff duke it out re: “Party of Defeat”

party-of-defeat.jpgWow, it’s incredible! Touting the everpresent leftist mantra, “Bush lied, men died”, Isikoff is hysterical over the new book “Party of Defeat”. Now, Ben Johnson is responding to Isikoff’s hysteria, you can read the responses here. (Who Lied when people died? I, Who Lied when people died? Part II, Who lied when people died? Round III)

To top it off, Frontpage Magazine has now offered a $500 Challenge to any critic of the war — who has written for a reputable publication — to write a critique of the book and its main thesis. Contact Frontpage Managing Editor Jamie Glazov at jglazov@rogers.com to sign up.

Incredible…

“Party of Defeat is an eye-opening account of one of the greatest political betrayals in American history: the unprecedented attack by leaders of an opposition party on a war they authorized and on America’s commander-in-chief while America’s troops were still in harm’s way.”

- SEAN HANNITY, Fox News Channel anchor

“Candid. Brilliant. Forceful. Brave. Do not miss under any circumstances.”

- R. JAMES WOOLSEY (former CIA Director)

“David Horowitz and Ben Johnson have written a timely and important analysis of the American political debate over the war on terror.”

- Ambassador JOHN BOLTON

“This book is a must read for every American who cares about the security of the United States.”

- Rep. GINNY BROWN-WAITE

“Brilliant, factual and historic, David Horowitz and Ben Johnson have documented how and why the Democratic leadership split the nation in the global war on terror. It will be judged as the seminal book on an unprecedented attack against America’s president and military in combat. Every American must read this book.”

- Lieutenant General THOMAS McINERNEY, USAF (Ret.)

“Having been one of David Horowitz’s more severe critics as a young officer in the foxholes of Vietnam, I can say with some authority that he is now bringing a message of national importance to the American people.”

- Major General JAMES E. LIVINGSTON, USMC (Ret.)
Recipient of the Medal of Honor

“David Horowitz and Ben Johnson explain in detail the unprecedented attacks on a sitting President and expose the lack of understanding at the highest levels about the nature of our enemy. This book must be read by all Americans.”

- Major General PAUL VALLELY, USA (Ret.)

“In concise and riveting fashion, David Horowitz and Ben Johnson have laid out a bill of particulars against an anti-war Left whose efforts to undermine the terror war are little short of treasonous. It offers a stark reminder of the folly of fighting a war on two fronts: one on the streets and battle fields of Iraq, the other here at home against ourselves.”

The Sheehag vs. Nancy Pelosi

The Communist News Network

boo hoo…the crying might have worked with Vanity Fair when she was laying on Casey’s grave with no headstone, but it won’t work in politics. Just think about the heat that Clinton got for getting emotional.

The Sheehag was short legitimate signatures of voters in her district, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. What a surprise.

On Wednesday, the campaign was well short of the 10,198 signatures needed to get on the ballot after San Francisco elections officials found that more than 40 percent of the people who signed weren’t registered in the city’s Eighth Congressional District.

Duh, yeah - they need to be in your district!

Sheehan’s supporters redoubled their efforts to collect enough signatures to beat the 5 p.m. Friday deadline, ultimately turning in more than 17,000 signatures to ensure that she qualified.

Leave it to SanFranFreakShow; turn over enough rocks and you find enough moonbats.

Independent my ass. She’s a long time extreme left activist, having appeared with Lynn Stewart at SFSU, is connected to United for Peace and Justice, International ANSWER, Code Pink and the Revolutionary Communist Party’s “The World Can’t Wait - Drive Out the Bush Regime” campaign, the International Socialists, War Resisters League, etc.. If you take a look at the people in the background of her arrest shots, or have been fortunate enough to see the Code Pink ladies serving as her chauffeurs, you can clearly see who her ideological brethren are.

She wants to impeach Bush and Cheney…and whose agenda is that?

9 Funerals for 9 Warriors (Rightwing News)

True Reporting on the Afghanistan War

The media has reported the story of how these men died - in a dishonest way.

brostrom.png

I’ve seen reports from the AP that said these guys were facing 100 Taliban fighters.

The truth is - it was closer to 500.

Jeff Emanuel, an independent combat reporter, dug into the details and tells the tale in a piece entitled “An Alamo With a Different Ending”

I am attempting to do a video on this story, and will update this post with the video when i am done.

God Bless these boys and their families, friends and all who loved and knew them.

What I love is the fact that the Taliban closed in on them - surrounded them from 3 sides, not expecting what they got; because they had no idea they were facing US Army paratroopers.

Of the 9 that were lost, Sgt Walker says:

“I just hope these guys’ wives and their children understand how courageous their husbands and dads were. They fought like warriors.”

They fought like warriors.

Last week, there were 9 funerals in the United States. 9 warriors were laid to rest. 9 warriors who had given their all for their country. All proud members of a brotherhood that will carry on in their name. They fought and died in what most would consider impossible circumstances, and yet they succeeded. A nameless fight in a distant war which, until you understand the facts, could be spun as a defeat. It wasn’t. And it is because of the pride, courage and fighting spirit of this small unit that it was, in fact, a victory against overwhelming odds. And there’s little doubt, given that pride and given that fighting spirit, that they’ll be back to reestablish the base, this time with quite a few more soldiers just like the ones who “kicked ass” the last time there.

Bin Laden believes that we’ve gone soft; and that we don’t have the stomach for this.

Our guys are proving him wrong.

But I’m still pissed off at how we turned our backs on the Northern Alliance. That’s the whole reason why the Taliban has returned.

the smears against Elaine Donnelly

Filed under: Anti-War , General , Leftist Agenda , The Lavender Lobby @ 4:56 pm

I have long been a proponent and supporter of the very important work that Elaine Donnelly has been doing. First, with regard to the women in combat issue, and secondly, about homosexuals in the military.

I watched the testimony of both Donnelly and a former Army Ranger Sgt. Major Jones regarding the homosexuals in the military issue which came up recently when they went at the Congressional hearing that was revisiting this issue. Members of Congress and the press clearly “demonize as morally repugnant (bigoted, homophobic, or worse) anyone who dared disagree with the Democrats’ and homosexual activists’ point of view.”

The response from the homosexuals who are trying to shove their deviant behavior into our military culture was hysterical, but it always has been, as this article at WND attests.

A Washington Post smear of Elaine Donnelly

I noticed that the IrishTimes came up with an equally inflammatory article:

Crusader’s dire warnings about gays in US military backfire on grand scale

I don’t see how as the warnings have “backfired” on a grand scale. What I see is homosexual activism that is putting our entire military at risk by trying to insert spreaders of disease into military culture calling anyone who disagrees with it ‘homophobic’. What is “homophobic” about pointing something out that activists themselves have said?

The response to the very reasoned arguments against homosexuals in the military actually proves the points that Elaine and made.

Military ‘gay’ ban supporters demonized by Congress
‘Show hearing would have made Stalin proud’

members of Congress clearly intended to “demonize as morally repugnant (bigoted, homophobic, or worse) anyone who dared disagree with the Democrats’ and homosexual activists’ point of view.”

These were Donnelly’s points. If the 1993 law is repealed:

“The new policy will be forced cohabitation with homosexuals, 24/7, in all military communities, including Army and Marine infantry battalions, Special Operations Forces, Navy SEALS, and all the ships at sea, including submarines. This would be tantamount to forcing female soldiers to cohabit with men in intimate quarters, 24/7, with no recourse but to leave or avoid the military all together.

“Taking the ‘civil rights’ argument to its logical, misguided conclusion, the military will be required to give special rights to professed (not discreet) homosexuals, and enforce a corollary policy of ‘zero tolerance’ of anyone who disagrees. The military does not do things halfway. Commanders will not be able to improve the situation, since they might be accused of ‘intolerance’ themselves.

“Current incidents of sexual misconduct involving men and women will be increased three-fold, to include male/male and female/female issues.

“To make the new policy ‘work,’ valuable training time will be diverted to ‘diversity’ training reflecting the attitudes of civilian gay activist groups. This training will attempt to overcome the normal human desire for modesty and privacy in sexual matters – a quest that is inappropriate for the military and unlikely to succeed.

“Any complaints about inappropriate passive/aggressive actions conveying a homosexual message or approach, short of physical touching and assault, will be met with career-killing presumptions about the motives of the person who complains: bigotry, homophobia, racism, or worse. As a result, untold thousands of people to leave or avoid the all-volunteer force.”

Tommy Sears, the executive director for the center, agreed.

– Video-Statement of Elaine Donnelly

– Video-Statement of Sgt. Maj. Brian Jones, US Army, (Ret.)

Induction forms used to have the question “are you homosexual?” on the form. This is about eligibility.

The law is there to promote order and discipline.

Obama Nation

Dr. Jerome Corsi also has a book out about Obama. This is getting very interesting. (Thanks to Larry for the tip)

the Book can be purchased online Here

obamanation.jpgDescription from Amazon of the book:

In this thoroughly researched and documented book, the #1 New York Times bestselling co-author of Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry explains why the extreme leftism of an Obama presidency would leave the United States weakened, diminished and divided, why Obama must be defeated and how he can be.

THE OBAMA NATION Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality

Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama’s personal and political background.

Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obama’s career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fundraising associates and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency would, in his words, be a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.

In this stunning and comprehensive new book, the reader will learn about:

-Obama’s extensive connections with Islam and radical politics, from his father and step-father’s Ilamic backgrounds, to his Communist and socialist mentors in Hawaii and Chicago, to his long-term and close associations with former Weather Underground heroes William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn, associations much closer than heretofore revealed by the press

-Barack and Michelle’s 20-year-long religious affiliation with the black-liberation theology of former Trinity United Church of Christ Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons have always been steeped in a rage first expressed by Franz Fanon , Stokely Carmichael and Malcolm X, a rage that Corsi shows has deep meaning for Obama

-Obama’s continuing connections with Kenya, the homeland of his father, through his support for the candidacy of Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential contender who came to power amid Islamist violence and church burnings

-Obama’s involvement in the slum-landlord empire of the Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko, who helped to bankroll Obama’s initial campaigns and to purchase of Barack and Michelles dream-home property.

-the background and techniques of the Obama campaign’s cult of personality, including the derivation of the words “hope and “change”.

-Obama’s far left domestic policy, his controversial votes on abortion, his history of opposition to the Second Amendment, his determination to raise capital-gains taxes, his impractical plan to achieve universal health care, and his radical plan to tax Americans to fund a global-poverty-reduction program

-Obamas naïve, anti-war, anti-nuclear foreign-policy, predicated on the reduction of the military, the eradication of nuclear weapons and an overconfidence in the power of his personality, as if belief in change alone could somehow transform international politics, achieve nuclear-weapons disarmament and withdrawal from Iraq without adverse consequences, for us, for the Iraqis or for Israel.

Meticulously researched and documented, THE OBAMA NATION is the definitive source for information on why and how Barack Obama must be defeatednot by invective and general attacks, but by detailed arguments that are well-researched and fact-based.

Don’t Question THEIR Patriotism!

The narrative from leftists regarding the war is so hysterical, paranoid and anti-American, as Dave Horowitz said in his recent speech “How Democrats and Radicals have Betrayed Our Country” it isn’t just mere dissent, it’s treason. The fact that overthrowing our government is considered ‘free speech’ makes one wonder what, in the long run, it will ultimately cost us.

Recently there was a video by Michael Crook on youtube, where he visited a military cemetery in South Jersey. In that video, he spit on soldiers’ graves, said they didn’t accomplish anything, and called them leeches on the government payroll, saying their deaths made the families ‘rich’. When I made a phone call to the cemetery, asking what is being done about public acts of grave desecration, I was assured that the legal department was handling it, and that the entire staff had watched it. There are former military people working there, and it turned their stomachs. Crook had the audacity to spit on the graves of WWII veterans and others while a woman was there with her child, paying their respects. One thing that seemed interesting was he was looking around, apparently afraid he might get caught, and whispering to his handheld camera while he was conducting this ‘experiment’. Instead of speaking loudly as if he thought he was really entitled to this hatred of America’s military and longheld military burial traditions, it appeared as though he was excited that he was doing something this radical and expected that he might get caught and thrown out of there. Or perhaps that’s just what an America-loving individual is thinking while watching him conduct his bit of political theater. This is not much different than another group that attends funerals with their America-hating rhetoric; the Westboro Baptists.

When someone joins a Michael Crook or revolutionary communists in being ‘against the war’, I think it’s important to remind them where this rhetoric comes from. That this should be the regular party line of people in Congress is worse than disturbing.

The point is, whether you’re a marxist or anarchist who is bombing recruiting centers, or claiming your against the war without a sign in your hand, aren’t the sentiments virtually the same?

How can you be ‘against the war’ but support our men and women in uniform? It’s a very odd position that completely cancels out the ’support the troops’ idea. If you go back to the actual ideology of the organizations like Code Pink which bring us protests against waterboarding (which isn’t being used anymore), these people are for ‘change’ - the change that socialist revolution would bring. They are against our government because it isn’t a carbon copy of Castro’s. They support ‘free health care’ that comes from a government that enslaves the people and a government that seeks out its opposition and puts them in front of a firing squad.

It’s quite ironic that anti-war demonstrators or people who parrot the anti-war demonstrators lines, don’t realize what it is they’re saying or where it comes from.

Wesley Clark recently attacked John McCain’s vietnam service, which I found to fall in line with the liberal attack on all those who serve; depicting them as monsters and baby killers, and whose Soviet-style redliners like the Iraq Veterans against the war, depict as victims of a predatory system which doesn’t give out enough benefits. It is odd to me that Clark was in command at Ft. Hood when Clinton signed a waiver to the Posse Comitatus Act, (which prohibits the military from using its arms against American citizens within our borders).

What happened at Waco was the death, mostly by fire, of at least 82 men, women and children, including two babies who died after being “fire aborted” from the dying bodies of their pregnant mothers.

It is not known if Clark was actually physically at WACO when this all happened, but it is not in dispute that he was in command and the resources from the military were from Ft. Hood. Isn’t it also interesting that the former NATO commander speaks fluent Russian? If you read the article Wesley Clark: General Issues by Lowell Ponte, you will get an idea about Clark’s creepy background. Of all the people to throw someone’s patriotism in question, or call into doubt the dignity of someone’s military service, where Clark is concerned, you should consider the source.

Another example of the role he’s played in past conflicts comes from the same article:

In June 1997 President Clinton appointed him Commander in Chief of the United States European Command and SACEUR, Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, in command of the forces of NATO, a position Clark would hold until May 2000.

As SACEUR General Wesley Clark would collect a truckload of honors. He would also prosecute Clinton’s war siding with Muslim Kosovars against Serbian Christians in the Balkans.

This war was largely fought from high altitude aircraft to minimize American casualties, an approach that increased civilian casualties on the ground.

Clark soon acquired a reputation as someone who lied about such casualties, lies reported even by Time Magazine.

(Emphasis mine.) It is no wonder that he’s considered a hero of the left. But here is a man who seems to have lived up to the leftists’ description of what the military accomplishes in conflicts - targeting innocent civilians. Where is the outrage?

For once, I’d like to see them be positive about something; but that will happen when they are running the country from the presidency down to the House and Senate; and similar to nazi Germany, any dissenter will have been thrown in jail. You may laugh, but I see that as the direction we’re headed in…when we have examples of honorable men who’s served our country like Lt. Ilario Pantano or the Haditha 8 brought up on charges for doing the job they were sent to do, based on the lies of known terrorists.

The most recent disgusting news byte in this mad struggle with the left is granting Islamic terror suspects access to our courts. For more information on that, read “The Man Behind The Attack on Guantanamo”.

We are the frog in the frying pan, and as all these groups and organizations turn up the heat, the apathetic American picks up his latte at Starbucks, drops his kids off at soccer and piano lessons, fills up his SUV, and seems unaware and uninformed.

Will it be after we’ve completely lost our freedom and the progressives have forced upon us their vision of the US Constitution in 2020 that Americans will realize they should have been more involved?

I hope not, but they are well on their way to making the ‘dream’ a reality.

Jodie Evans is a moonbat; Saddam supported terrorism before 9/11

I was watching Jodie Evans’ responses to Paul A. Ibbetson the other day on youtube - rather; I was watching him roll his eyes as she was saying things like - ‘there weren’t any terrorists in Iraq until we went there’ ‘illegal unjust war’ or some such rot…and that we should listen to Osama’s reasoning as to why he sent people to blow us up.

I guess Taqiyya isn’t in her vocabulary - she thinks that the terrorists and communists are absolutely honest when they spew their drivel to the masses and she laps it up willingly and without any reservation.

Is this woman really that stupid?

Kurdish Paper: Cooperation Between Saddam Regime, Al-Qaeda (via the Memri blog)

Guess so…

Some people are so invested in their Bush Derangement Syndrome that they can’t see the forest for the trees. There is plenty of evidence that supports the notion of a direct link to Saddam Hussein, Iraq, and 9/11.

The Kurdish daily Kurdistani Nwe has published a 2002 letter from the Iraqi presidency that it says proves that there was cooperation between the regime of Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda.

The letter, which appeared on the paper’s front page, was published by the intelligence apparatus of the Iraqi presidency and discussed an intention to meet with Ayman Al-Zawahiri in order to examine a plan drawn up by the Iraqi presidency to carry out a “revenge operation” in Saudi Arabia.

4049.JPG

Gotta love those kurds.

Source

Oh but there weren’t any terrorists in Iraq until we went there.

That’s also refuted by the guy who talked about terrorist training camps in Iraq…complete with airliners on the ground so they could practice hijacking airplanes.

“There have been several confirmed sightings of Islamic fundamentalists from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Gulf states being trained in terror tactics at the Iraqi intelligence camp at Salman Pak,” Khidir Hamza, Iraq’s former nuclear-weapons chief, told the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee last July 31. “The training involved assassination, explosions and hijacking.”

“This camp is specialized in exporting terrorism to the whole world,” former Iraqi army captain Sabah Khodada told PBS’s Frontline in an October 14, 2001 interview. Khodada worked at Salman Pak. He said that instruction there was “all for the general concept of hitting and attacking American targets and American interests.” He added: “We saw people getting trained to hijack airplanes…They are even trained how to use utensils for food, like forks and knives provided in the plane…They are trained how to plant horror within the passengers by doing such actions.” A map of the camp Khodada drew for Frontline closely matches satellite photos of the base, thus bolstering his story.

There are so many ways that connect 9/11 with Iraq, it’s absolutely incredible that someone like Jodie Evans would say those incredibly stupid things about terrorism being created by American presence in the Middle East. But none of the Code Pinksters or war protesters appear to be all that intelligent.

I saw a video of a guy asking them what their signs mean, and they attacked him for ‘provoking’ them. He said he was not trying to ‘provoke’, he wanted to understand what their signs meant. One guy actually had to look up at his sign and read it - and even after he re-read his own freakin’ sign he couldn’t explain what it meant. Now these people are standing out there holding signs ‘Bush lied, men died’, -but they can’t even defend what their signs mean or explain what exactly Bush lied about. It’s merely an empty slogan and nothing more…particularly when you try to engage these people in conversation.

You can’t be against all forms of violence - because sometimes violence is necessary to get the peace on your terms…not those of a rapist, pedophile or robber that gets caught in the act and decides he’s going to remove the witnesses.

There were documents and photographs that were recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence and character of these documents was confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD by eleven U.S. government officials.

The discovery of the information on jihadist training camps in Iraq would seem to have two major consequences: It exposes the flawed assumptions of the experts and U.S. intelligence officials who told us for years that a secularist like Saddam Hussein would never work with Islamic radicals, any more than such jihadists would work with an infidel like the Iraqi dictator. It also reminds us that valuable information remains buried in the mountain of documents recovered in Afghanistan and Iraq over the past four years.

Giving habeas corpus to terrorists

The 5-4 decision made by the Supreme Court gave unlawful enemy foreign combatants access to our court system, which has long been leftists’ goal for their terrorist heroes.

Mark Levin:

It has been the objective of the left-wing bar to fight aspects of this war in our courtrooms, where it knew it would have a decent chance at victory.

Supreme Court opens up Gitmo lawsuit floodgates; Scalia: “The Nation will live to regret what the Court has done today. I dissent.”

Court gives detainees habeas rights-Scotus Blog

In a stunning blow to the Bush Administration in its war-on-terrorism policies, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday that foreign nationals held at Guantanamo Bay have a right to pursue habeas challenges to their detention. The Court, dividing 5-4, ruled that Congress had not validly taken away habeas rights. If Congress wishes to suspend habeas, it must do so only as the Constitution allows — when the country faces rebellion or invasion.

By contrast, during the Civil War, Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus…

In a second ruling on habeas, the Court decided unanimously that U.S. citizens held by U.S. military forces in Iraq have a right to file habeas cases, because it does extend to them, but it went on to rule that federal judges do not have any authority to bar the transfer of those individuals to Iraqi authorites to face prosecution or punishment for crimes committed in that country in violation of Iraqi laws.

So they are allowing people like Jack Idema to face prosecution in foreign countries when they were sent to do a job there for us. There will be no protection for American citizens…? For our military? So our people are being placed further at risk for more Taliban-style kangaroo court proceedings on the lies of known terrorists.

This is all very interesting, considering Jack Idema’s Habeas petition and court proceedings, which dragged on for an astonishing three years after being railroaded by a Taliban court in Afghanistan.

Terrorists are going to be treated as though they were citizens, and Americans fighting the WoT are going to be treated as criminals…violating the ‘civil rights’ of foreign enemy combatants.

The world has gone mad…and the Supreme Court is leading the way.

Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, man is suing the town over American flags display

N.H. man sues town over display of American flags

OLFEBORO, N.H. - A Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, man is suing the town over a downtown display of American flags.

The town has about 100 U.S. flags affixed to downtown utility poles as a way to show support for American troops fighting in Iraq. But Claude Roessiger claims the Bush administration’s foreign policy has turned the flag into a symbol of what he calls “in-your-face, with-me-or-against-me patriotism.”

In his lawsuit filed Carroll County Superior Court, Roessiger says the display is excessive, unusual and unlawful.

Town officials say they’re perplexed by the argument. They note that the U.S. Supreme Court has held that the flag does not promote one particular policy or philosophy.

Since when would a citizen of the United States rail against the American flag put on display by his town?

It’s interesting that a businessman would attack the flag as a symbol of evil, when the last I checked, the list of good things we’ve done far outweighs the list of mistakes. And I wouldn’t say that the mistakes we’ve made have been intentional, I honestly think Murtha’s call for us to withdraw from Mogadishu, for example, and Clinton withdrawing our troops from there, was done with the best of intentions, right? Even though Bin Laden realized that America was a ‘paper tiger’ afterwards and was encouraged by it, considering it not an act of strength, but an act of cowardice.

With that in mind, how will the terrorists view a withdrawal from Iraq? Will they decide to shake hands with us, and make nice, or will they be emboldened?

What happened after we withdrew from Vietnam is an indicator; millions of people died.

But of course leftists don’t dare look at the consequences of actions, because that would negate the idea that all actions have good consequences.

In the real world, not all actions have good consequences, but they don’t live in it.

So along those lines, Debbie Lee is asking for a call to action, asking people to flood his mailbox with cards, letters and pictures of the American flag.

Here’s a link for contact information to email the fellow, and if you do, keep it civil and respectful.

Debbie provides us with an example of an email that she wrote the company herself:

I was disgusted when I learned of the disdain by your Chairman, Claude Roessiger over the display of American flags flown in his town and his lawsuit that he is filling. Did he forget he lives in America? Did he forget that flag represents our country? Did he forget all of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for America and her flag?

Obviously he didn’t serve under that flag our he would be proud to have her waving from every building and every street corner. I fly that flag daily at my home and no one is going to tell me I can’t. I have numerous folded flags displayed in my home. One that was draped over my sons coffin. My son Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq 8-2-06 and he gave up his life for our freedoms and the right to fly that flag.

I am deeply hurt and offended by Claude’s’ outrageous law suit. I am demanding an apology and will be notify the thousands of people on my email list. In case you think I can’t impact your company go to youtube and type in my name and see what happened when I confronted the City Council in Berkeley. A boycott started which resulted in millions of dollars being pulled from contracts in Berkeley. You think the flags flying are “excessive and unusual,” wait until you see the response from American Patriots who love our flag.

Disgusted by your actions, Debbie Lee

She makes the call for action at the end to do more than send an email:

I think that we need to be a American Flag Brigade and send a barrage of small parade flags, pictures of flags, children’s drawings or colorings of flags, flag patches and just overload his mail box. I have posted his address and am sending my first flag tomorrow. He thinks 100 flags flying is excessive and unusual. ‘He ain’t seen nothin yet.” Please feel free to call or email him also.
