The Socialist Militant at DePaul
Will be updating this post later today with the details on the ICE RAID in Waterloo, Iowa.
The video is one my son and I took when we went to DePaul for their protest against Chris Simcox of the Minutemen. They believe in groupthink; anything that is “different” would mean intellectual diversity - and they DON’T WANT THAT.
Ben Stone with ACLU of Iowa released this statement Tuesday:
The ACLU of Iowa strongly condemns the unnecessary use of criminal prosecutions to coerce hundreds of foreign-born workers detained in the recent raid in Postville, Iowa into waiving their rights to individually demonstrate why each of them should be allowed to remain in the U.S.
Of the 390 workers reportedly detained, nearly three hundred are from Guatemala, a country known for its human rights abuses. A civil deportation proceeding is the best way to address immigration cases, and each case needs to be handled on an individual basis. By converting the meatpacking plant raid into a mass criminal prosecution, the government is wasting precious legal resources and giving short shrift to the American right of due process, which belongs to all persons, not just citizens.
From the information the ACLU of Iowa has been able to gather, it appears that detainees are not receiving adequate time to meet with their lawyers, and that defense attorneys are being overwhelmed requests to represent far more clients than is advisable - or perhaps even ethical. We are concerned that the sheer size of this raid is likely to result in numerous violations of the U.S. Constitution, which protects the due process rights all persons in this country. It is our understanding that detainees are being threatened with prosecution if they do not waive their right to an individualized deportation hearing and that they may be forced to do so with only minimal opportunity to speak with defense counsel.
While justice delayed is justice denied — justice in haste lays waste.
The ACLU of Iowa recognizes that the United States, like every nation, has the right to control who enters the country, to enforce the integrity of its borders, and to set immigration policy. However, the ACLU of Iowa also believes that this policy needs to be consistent with our American values of fairness, and the tradition of welcoming immigrants. While our government can determine immigration status and enforce immigration laws, it should act fairly, humanely and in accordance with our constitutional norms of due process and equal protection and adhere to U.S. obligations under international law.
POSTVILLE — Monday’s immigration raid at Agriprocessors was the result of almost eight months of investigation, according to U.S. Attorney Matt Dummermuth.
The probe included interviews with former illegal workers and an undercover source who landed a job at the plant and sometimes wore a recording device, court records show.
Agents with the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Agriprocessors had 833 workers with suspicious Social Security numbers pulling a paycheck in the third quarter of 2007.
All 833 employees were found to have either used invalid Social Security numbers or numbers not their own, said an application ICE agents submitted to secure a search warrant of the facility.
They completely let some of the women go because of ‘humanitarian concerns’–they had small children.

blogs for borders: Chris Simcox at DePaul
Here is Jake and MJ’s post - which they will be updating with more. It’s amazing how hateful these leftists were when they surrounded MJ with jeers and the finger.
My previous post with video on this here. I give them a lot of credit for staying there as things got more hysterical and it got dark.
I’ll have more video up shortly.

Just got back from DePaul
It might be the land of his ancestors, but it would appear none of them bothered to learn how to spell. When I pointed out the mis-spelling of ‘ancesters’ the little guy called me ’sexist’. HUH?
Just got back from DePaul. Jake and MJ are still there - they got the ‘inside scoop’ because they are in the inside - and the media and the public are closed out of the minuteman speech; it is for DePaul students only because the socialists called up with threats. When we left, they were chanting their silly chants and making some pretty unbelievable claims.
Footage and a few pictures to follow shortly.
Jake and MJ will have some up, too, but I’m sure they’ll be getting home a lot later than me.
I particularly liked this sign:
But of course, the people who supported the minutemen were soft spoken while the socialists were rude and getting all the attention.
Lots of media was there - and I guess they were having a fit over Simcox’s speech not being a public event.
But in a way the socialists still got their way; they limited the free speech of someone who has every right to be heard.

I received this through email from The Lone Protester. Since he doesn’t have it up on his blog (that I can see), I’m going to reproduce it here (with his permission), because the points are important and well-made.
Lone Protester- Is There Any Hope? 04/04/08
Most of you know that I am in construction and live in the former great state of South Carolina. From reading my stories you found out that my state is over run with about half a million illegal aliens and that they are here because they are aided and abetted by the most of our politicians and the people that employ them. Can any of you imagine how someone in my position feels? I will try to explain it to you. Yesterday, I pull up to a job, and the first thing I notice is that there are six brick masons hard at work and every one of them probably illegal. Before you start calling me a racist remember one thing, I talked to the wife of a Mexican coyote once and she told me that 99% of the Hispanics in the construction industry are illegal aliens. So, if your response to me is to call me a racist then I will tell you to shove it where the sun don’t shine. Before you call me a racist, I remember that about five years ago there were hardly any Hispanics in construction in South Carolina.
The politicians of my state have stabbed the citizens in their backs. The only time that they want to interact with the citizens is when it comes re-election time. You don’t believe me? Read the following letter, it was sent to me in response to one of my articles, South Carolina’s Workers Are Being Replaced. It is a form letter, from one on my state senators, Jim Ritchie. And I had problems with it. Mainly because I do not believe anything he says. So I decided to forward it to a friend of mine, Roan Quintana-Garcia. Roan is an amazing man, his family came from Cuba in the early 1960’s. He is executive director of www.americanshavehadenough.com. Roan probably spends more time in the SC statehouse that anybody else does. He knows more about the illegal immigration problems of South Carolina than any politician here. He certainly knows more about it than Senator Ritchie does. Here is Senator Ritchie’s form letter, Roan Garcia’s interpretation is outlined in red after every paragraph.
SEN. JIM RITCHIE’S FORM LETTER CHALLENGED!
Dear
Thank you very much for your email regarding illegal immigration in South Carolina. I want you to know that I am doing everything in my power to answer your call for reform.
When an amendment to take out the I-9 provisions was offered Jim Ritchie did not even bother to call for a roll call nor add his name to those who claimed to oppose the I-9 provision. Jim has been ineffective on this one! He could have called out those Republicans who wanted the I-9 to stay . He could have shown courage! Now, he can show us that he means what he says, by getting four votes out of conference and putting it out on the floor of both chambers for a roll-call vote; nothing short of that will do.
Due to the sheer size and complexity of the Illegal Immigration Reform Act that I authored, and the often heated and impassioned nature of this issue, there has recently been a lot of misinformation circulating regarding my efforts and the provisions of this initiative. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts so I may now take the opportunity to provide you with further information and background.
Before I begin, let me say that if you have any additional questions or concerns after reading my email, please call me so we may discuss this matter further. You may reach me in my Senate office at (803) 212-6032 or in Spartanburg at (864) 594-5300.
It is imperative that we continue an open dialogue to ensure that South Carolina enacts the best law possible to address the negative effects of illegal immigration on our state, our workforce and our communities.
That being said, let me provide you with some background on this issue.
You likely know by now that the Senate began working to address illegal immigration nearly two years ago - in the summer of 2006.
I was appointed to chair the Senate’s Illegal Immigration Reform Study Committee that summer and led the effort to find how illegal immigration affects our state and what we can do to minimize those effects.
According to two senators on the original committee, Jim drafted a bill that was terribly weak. Chip Campsen gave him the language of the Georgia bill that was inserted into what became S392. Since I was not there, I don’t know who did what when, but why would the other senator make this up. Remember, Jim Ritchie was the Chamber of Commerce’s “legislator of the year” in 2005. Back then he would not help anyone who approached him on this issue. This is inconsequential, so we can give this point to Mr. Ritchie.
Today, I know all too well the effects of illegal immigration on our state.
1,000 percent - that’s the growth of the number illegal immigrants in South Carolina over a fourteen-year time span (1990-2004) Whose figures are these?
200,000 - the approximate number of illegal aliens living in our communities. It’s more like 400,000 and some people say 500,000. But no one really knows
$186,000,000 - the cost to you and I as South Carolina taxpayers to provide federally-mandated benefits such as education, emergency medical care, and incarceration for illegal immigrants EACH YEAR
Even if you take the 200,000-figure as accurate, the Heritage Foundation’s Robert Rector estimates a cost to communities to be around $20,000 per illegal. So we are talking round $2,000,000,000 to be the cost to SC taxpayers and could be as high as $8 Billion or $10 Billion depending on what figure is correct.
70 percent - the growth of the illegal immigrant prison population in just four years. This is a low figure. We have found in Saluda SC, as in other parts of the nation, that “Hispanics” are being labeled as “whites” to dilute the number. That is why this figure is so low.
75 percent - a recent USC study found that three out of four Latinos in South Carolina describe their English skills as poor or nonexistent. The study to which he is referring included resident aliens and illegal aliens. I am surprised he is even quoting from this, as he chastised the presenters for including legal immigrants. Maybe he did that for the benefit of “we the people” who outnumbered the pro-illegal-alien lobby testifying by a ratio of 7 to 3.
These numbers are real, but they do not even begin to explain the far-reaching effects of this crisis on our state.
Who says that these numbers are real? Notice that there is no bibliography given. At least I give a citation, as you can find Rector’s study by just typing in his name when you go to google.com.
I wish I could tell you that our bill will completely solve this urgent crisis. It can’t. Let me be clear - illegal immigration is ultimately a federal issue that can only be wholly and completely fixed through federal action. This is a problem that reaches every town and every community in our nation. No matter what we do as a state, we cannot address the larger issues of border security, immigration policy, enforcement of current immigration laws, the so-called ‘anchor babies’ phenomenon, or what to do with the millions of illegal immigrants already in this country. Only national reforms can.
This is the Chamber of Commerce’s Line of Lies. There is a lot that can be done by the states as allowed by federal law, but like I was told by SC Senators and staffers, “The Chamber won’t let us do that!” Just look at the Arizona Bill (To read the entire “Legal Arizona Workers Act, ” Click Here!) and the Court Decision that Upheld it (Please click here to read a highlighted version of the Arizona Court Decision.). You don’t need to be a lawyer to understand what the court decision says. It lays it all out for you and I have taken the time to highlight the key points that rebut everything Jim Ritchie is trying to tell you on what states can or cannot do.
So as Congress continues to put off action or even discussion, we are forced to try to answer the call of the people of this state. And, unfortunately, much as we may wish it could, South Carolina law cannot supersede federal law. We don’t want it to supersede federal law! Federal law allows for states to mandate all employers to use E-verify and those who don’t comply can have their licenses revoked. To me revoking a license to operate in a state is a more serious punishment than a fine or even imprisonment. They either move out of our state or, if they decide to operate without a license, then more severe penalties will follow.
What we can do, though, is enact reforms to make South Carolina less attractive to the illegal immigrant population. As other Southeastern states begin to pass illegal immigration reforms, it is all the more imperative that we do not become the Southeastern haven for illegal immigrants. Mississippi just passed a law similar to Arizona’s. Now they may have gone a little too far by imposing fines. But with the I-9 provisions that Jim Ritchie inserted in S392, there are next to no incentives to make employers of illegal aliens abide by the law!
My bill will do just that.
Once law, it will be the most comprehensive measure to address illegal immigration in the country. This is a BOLD FACE LIE! And he wants you to take his word! In fact it has already been a model for other states, such as Oklahoma. We have also learned form other states, such as Arizona and Georgia, and incorporated some of their provisions.
Here’s what the final Senate-passed version will do:
1. public employment and public contracts
My bill requires all public employers (i.e. state government agencies, local governments, public schools, etc.) to verify that all new hires are legally present in this country using E-verify. And if you are a private company that contracts with a public employer for services, you are required to meet this same standard. The goal of this measure is to ensure that your tax dollars are going only to legal workers and to businesses that play by the rules.
This is a negligible number, and besides it only applies to new hires. It also allows for a driver’s license to be used. You have to watch the two letter-word “or” instead of the three-letter word “and.” We all know about driver licenses. You can buy them at your local flea markets.
It’s the private employers that are the problem!
2. public benefits
My bill will deny public benefits to people who cannot verify that they are legally present in this country except where mandated by federal law. This measure will require individuals who apply for public benefits to sign an affidavit under penalty of felony perjury verifying that they are legally present in this country. If they purposefully try to defraud our government, they are criminally and civilly liable for their actions in addition to be required to refund any benefit they received. Yes, we are supposed to take their word for this, since they have to sign an affidavit. These people will steal your identity, so of course they will sign an affidavit in a minute.
Additionally, my bill will prohibit illegal aliens from attending public colleges or universities and will deny them tuition aid and scholarships. Again, it’s the implementation that is in question and its enforcement.
3. harboring and transporting illegal aliens
My bill will create a felony offense for people who harbor or transport illegal aliens for purposes of hiding them from detection by law enforcement or in any way furthering their illegal presence in this state. The House of Representatives wanted to add a huge loophole that would allow people to harbor illegals for the very vague and undefined “humanitarian purposes or health care.” After I saw what they had done, I worked with my Senate colleagues to close that loophole. Strong limitations on harboring illegal aliens has been proven successful in other states, namely Oklahoma. Once their law was passed, a mass exodus occurred as people realized that they could not continue to hide, shelter, or transport illegal aliens without being held criminally liable for their actions. I am confident that we will have the same success in South Carolina. The bill provides no guidance on how this will be enforced. It is true that the House made it even weaker, though.
4. criminal reforms
There are several ways that we, as a state, can address the increased rate of crime and incarceration of illegal aliens. First, my bill requires our jails and prisons to verify the legal status of anyone they house, regardless of how long they are incarcerated. If a prisoner is found to be illegally present in this country, the jail/ prison is required to do two things - 1. they must immediately notify federal officials so they may be deported and 2. they must keep a record of the daily expenses incurred for housing that prisoner. They will then bill the federal government for these expenses to ensure that our local and state resources are not being drained on prisoners who should never have been allowed to enter the country illegally. The bill states that “a reasonable effort must be made” to determine the legality of a prisoner. What is reasonable? Why not run their identity through E-verify or SSNVS?
It is this type of mendacity that makes Mr. Ritchie’s entire reply and his intent suspect! I worked with this man for almost two years and I expected him to be straight with me. But this is what you and I get for trusting these individuals to represent US.
Additionally, this bill will require judges to consider someone who is not lawfully present in this country as a flight risk when setting their bond. This measure will increase the likelihood that the illegal alien will show up for their trial and be held accountable for their crimes. First of all, there is no guarantee that bond will be denied. Second, once these people put up bond, you will never see them again. There are thousands of murderers who have fled the California court system. Why not make it part of the law to keep someone incarcerated who is found to be illegal. Again, this is a huge loophole and we are supposed to buy into it.
Another important part of my bill would allow SLED to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Homeland Security. As a part of this MOU, state and local law enforcement officers would be able to be trained in federal immigration law so they could then be authorized to enforce these laws. Should this occur, a local or state officer would be able to transport prisoners found to be illegally in this country to the nearest INS office in Atlanta, Georgia for deportation. We would then bill the federal government for the costs of this transportation, making this a win-win situation for our state.
Before the bill was sent to the House, S392 ordered ALL law enforcement agencies to participate in the 287 (g) program. Somewhere before it went to the Senate floor last year, it became only SLED is ordered, and the phrase “may participate” was inserted for other law enforcement personnel and the Department of Corrections! This means that local law enforcement can continue to turn its head away from illegals. We know that the Saluda sheriff, whose wife is employed by the poultry king, will never participate in such program. Mayors of our larger cities will not order their law enforcement to participate in the 287 (g). S392 could have done that had it not been changed.
5. private employers
Much has been said about the issue of private employers and how far we as a state can go in regulating businesses, large and small. Many point to Arizona as a model in addressing this issue.
Having extensively reviewed Arizona legislation and the courts’ response to their law, I fought to add new language that would require private employers to verify all new workers using E-verify, a state-issued identification card, or a state-issued driver’s license, just as we required for businesses that enter into public contracts. When the Senate refused to support these high standards, I worked with my colleagues to bring in private employers on basic standards and to provide penalties if a private employer knowingly or intentionally hires an illegal alien. At the very least, the business community has been put on notice that the people of this state want a legal workforce and businesses that uphold the law. I will continue to fight for strong verification requirements and once passable, I will introduce a new bill to include these requirements for all employers. If we allow the bill to pass as it is, it will prove to the SC Chamber of Commerce and the SC Farm Bureau Federation that they indeed rule our legislators. If we cannot have e-verify for all employers, we don’t need or want this bill. If we can’t order ALL jail personnel and ALL law enforcement personnel to participate in the 297 (g) program, we don’t need or want this bill.
In the mean time, our bill has gone much further than just verification requirements to create disincentives for companies to hire illegal aliens. In addition to the public contract requirements I discussed earlier, my bill allows South Carolina workers who lose their job to an illegal alien to sue their employer for damages and reinstatement. Federal law already allows for an employee to file a lawsuit if they can prove that an illegal has replaced them for lower wages. Recently, there was a class-action lawsuit filed against a meat-packing plant.
Employers need to know that we will not allow them to take advantage of our hard working people.
Perhaps the most important way to incentivize businesses to hire a legal workforce is by looking to their bottom line. For that reason, we included requirements for businesses to verify that a worker is legally present if they want to claim the wages and benefits as business tax deductions. The same goes for 1099s. Without this legislation, a huge loophole allows businesses to hire illegal aliens by paying them through 1099s. Unethical businesses could claim no knowledge of the worker being illegal. They wouldn’t have to verify the legal status, or withhold state or federal taxes from the illegal alien’s paycheck. Under my bill, employers will be required to verify 1099 workers in the same way they will every other employee. This measure will ensure that these individuals are held liable for their income, pay taxes, and file the same tax returns that you and I do each April 15. If an employer can’t do this, they must withhold the top state income rate of seven percent from each paycheck or be liable themselves for what they should have withheld. Are we supposed to believe that illegals get 1099’s? They get paid in Cash! The low wages being paid by employers outweigh their deducting such by using a 1099. Indeed, this may entice more employers to pay cash and not use the 1099.
While I have not summarized every measure in the bill, these five areas are the most important ways that we as a General Assembly can make South Carolina the least attractive state to illegal immigrants. I have done everything I can to answer the people of this state’s calls for reform. No Jim, you have not done everything you can. You could stand up and name those who oppose the use of e-verify for all employers. On the Russ Castle show (WORD – Greenville) the only name Senator Ritchie would give was Senator Hutto, a fellow attorney, but a Democrat from Orangeburg. Given that Jim Ritchie wants to run for governor, he could have had press conferences and out those Republicans who caved in. This would have shown courage and leadership on Ritchie’s part.
It should be noted that the grassroots advocates for illegal immigration reform have repeatedly called for passage of my bill, even before the private employer verification requirements were added, and continue to support my efforts. This is no longer true. When we supported the bill without the private employer requirements, we were led to believe that it was not constitutional to do otherwise. Now we know better and we want better!
My seven years in the State Senate have been marked by my aggressive leadership on issues of key importance to my district and to the citizens of this great state. At times, my role in crafting important legislation has drawn fire from special interest groups seeking to make sure conservative change never comes to the halls of state government. These special interests have spread half-truths and ratcheted up the rhetoric in an effort to promote their own agendas and kill this vital effort to curb the growing problem of illegal immigration in our state.
I have never made a habit of taking the easy way out, and I won’t start now. Well, Mr. Ritchie you did just that on February 13, 2008!
As we debate the Senate and House differences in conference committee, I will continue to lead the fight for a nation-leading illegal immigration reform package, regardless of the political rhetoric and attempts to sway my vote or your voice. As a father and a husband, I know the importance of this work to the future of our state.
I hope you’ll join my efforts and support S. 392 as passed in the Senate.
And as I said earlier, if you have additional questions based on my response or want to share any new information you may have, please call me.
Best regards,
Jim
This guy just wants me to believe what his aide writes. This senator has the gall to tell me that he is working hard for the citizens of this state, when, every day that I go to work I see the lie in his words. I see six illegal aliens brick masons hard at work. I then watch eight illegal alien stucco workers pull up to the job and commence to working. The only difference between these two illegal businesses is that the stucco workers have an American in charge of them. He stands on the ground and issues all kinds of orders to his illegals, in Spanish by the way. They immediately get right in my way. I cannot do anything at all because they start right where I am going to work. So I sit down, take a break and start getting mad as hell. I was depending on the money from this job to help pay some bills that I am real far behind on.
I watch the contractor pull up, I watch the new homeowner and his wife, and none of them have any problem with all the illegals on the job, except me and my son. I sit there and watch everybody pretend that everything is okay, I listen to the contractor talking to the owner and his wife about the house, nothing at all is mentioned about all the illegal, criminal activity going on. Nothing at all is said about all the illegal aliens hard at work. So I get pissed, I get down off the ladder, tell my son that it is time to go. I think about the letter from Sen. Ritchie and silently tell him to kiss where I can’t. The so-called American in charge of the stucco crew runs up and tells my son that they can move if they are in our way, I am in the truck waiting for my son to finish loading up and I cannot tell you what I said to that guy because I got arrested the last time I tried that. Just suffice it to say that I am totally fed up. I am fed up with these sanctimonious idiots that say they are doing everything to stem the flood of illegal aliens and are lying out of their asses at the same time.
I pulled out of that job and left a black mark doing it. There is no hope in this state, no hope that our politicians are interested in our welfare. They are more interested in brownnosing the chamber of commerce for money so that they can control the reins of power. Damn the people, it is winning the election that matters.
So, my question to my state politicians, why waste the people’s time on bullcrap, if you are really interested in this state and its future, why do you not demand that our governor do the same thing that Rhode Island’s governor just did regarding illegal aliens and their employers? Why do you try to kiss the behinds of the worthless chamber of commerce when it is the citizens of this state are in dire need of your support? Why are the citizens of this state ignored except when it comes to election time? And the only thing that I have to say to the esteemed Senator Jim Ritchie is that I hope and pray that the people of your district see you for what you really are and put you out on the street where you belong.
This is a long article and I apologize but there were some things that needed to be said. One of the main things is that Roan Quintana-Garcia, a man that I admire, has decided to throw his hat in the ring. He is running for state senator against his democrat opponent. I encourage you to donate to his campaign because Roan will defend the citizens of this state. The SC chamber of commerce is his enemy and the people are all that matters to him. He is fed up with our politicians and he will do everything in his power to make things the way they are supposed to be. The people of this state deserve more that lies like Jim Ritchie likes to tell. The people of this great state deserve more that Sen. Ritchie has to offer.

No tax rebates for illegal aliens
No Tax Rebates for Illegal Aliens
Close the Loophole in the Stimulus Package
In the Stimulus Bill (H.R.5140) that was hastily put together in the U.S. House, a loophole was included which would result in illegal aliens getting taxpayer-funded rebates. This is wrong and is being addressed by Sen. John Ensign.
Please tell Congress that you support closing the illegal alien loophole. Illegal activity should not be rewarded. No tax rebates for illegal aliens. …!~!

McCain’s hispanic ‘outreach’
McCain has a hispanic outreach program, I guess. And the lead is none other than the dual American-Mexican citizen known for his “Mexico first” declarations to immigrants in the U.S., as Michelle Malkin and others have noted.
Jerry Corsi has an article up at Worldnetdaily about it, too.
Hernandez is “a non-paid volunteer to the campaign, and he does not play a policy role.” - says McCain spokesman Brian Rogers.
“Juan works with us to reach out to the Hispanic community to meet with the folks in the various states,” Rogers said.
Asked if the McCain campaign has repudiated Hernandez’s “Mexico first” declarations, Rogers did not give a direct answer.
Hernandez’s working on the McCain campaign - whether paid or not - shows that he’s just as weak on the border issue as ever.
While McCain is now emphasizing border security, the policy posted on his website repeats many of the “flexible labor market” arguments advanced in the Kennedy-McCain comprehensive immigration reform bills, arguing for the necessity of a guest-worker program.
We have enough problems than to be allowing these people to overrun our borders with no stop gaps, and the thing that is particularly irritating about it is the fact that so many crimes are committed by these people. As Jake and Michelle tell us repeatedly on their Guard Our Borders blogbursts, these crimes are 100% preventable - if only we’d be protecting our borders! Instead, we have a very aggressive prosecutor going after border control agents for doing their jobs.
Of course, McCain learned from the bill he tried to force through with Kennedy on amnesty that the American people don’t support amnesty. But I guess that’s not stopping him from working with the open borders people, anyway.
See, this is the problem with McCain…he is like Hitlery, and that’s another reason why they get along so well.
Open Borders advocate Juan Hernandez has joined the McCain campaign
Bringing the third world to the US, one illegal at a time.
Thanks, Juan! And Soros thanks you, too!

Bush has been just as guilty as the rest of these people about the open borders thing; in complete defiance to the wishes of Americans across the country. Here he is with Hernandez and Vincente Fox.

hello fascism
The Lone Protester stood up and protested a contractor (who had hired him for previous roofing work) -LP bid on a copper roofing job - which this contractor gave to an illegal alien roofing crew.
The police arrested the Lone Protester without reading him his rights.
ICE never checked the residency status of the illegals on the roof working - they were free - but the Lone Protester was arrested for hollering “dirty bastard” and spent the night in jail.
He asked for a jury trial. Instead, the court system, twice, has tried to make him plead guilty.
He would not plead guilty and today, Jan 23rd, he is finally getting his trial….we hope!

nobody left
From Carolyn Hilleman at The Voice
Angel Jesus Hernandez, Armando Martinez-Lozano, Juan Felix Salinas, Erik Jovani Martinez, Terapon Dang Adhahn, Victor Benitez, Jose Perez Gonzalez.
I am willing to wager that you do not recognize any of those names.
I am also willing to wager that none of these names will come up during any debates.
But~ these are friends of senators John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They are such good friends of these senators, that one actually cosponsored a bill that would have given them amnesty, and the other two voted to make it happen. The reasoning behind this bill was so that these hard-working illegal immigrants could better their lives. After all, they had never hurt any one.
However, on July fourth, just days after the American people had called and emailed to derail this wonderful bill, one of their friends Terapon Dang Adhahn, kidnapped and killed 12-year-old Zinna Linnik. Adhahn is also suspected in the abduction and murder of several other children dating as far back as 1986, and if the senators had gotten their way Terapon Dang Adhahn would have been a legal citizen at the time of little Zinna’s murder. Let’s discuss a few more of their friends shall we? The hard-working, clean-nosed friends they were all set to turn out into our world as new citizens:
Angel Jesus Hernandez fled the scene after hitting a child on Oct 14th and was arrested a short distance away after striking several other cars, Angel had a blood alcohol level of .15, the legal limit in Texas is .08. Armondo, all he did was stab and kill an Army Combat engineer recently back from Iraq. Juan slammed his van into a Toyota Corolla causing it to burst into flames upon impact, killing three. He was three times over the legal limit when given his blood alcohol test. Erik shot and killed a cop who was trying to stop him for jaywalking. Victor was drunk when he ran a red light and killed a young lady. Jose brutally assaulted a 78 year old woman during a robber. Jose is still at large and there is a $10,000.00 reward for his capture.
These are just a few of their friends. All told, they do not even really know how many there are, nor do they have any clue what type of people they are. All they know is they want the immigrant vote and giving these people amnesty is the quickest way to get it. These are the type of people the people of America are really considering for our next president. These are the ones~ who, if elected, will give amnesty to even more people like these.
It has nothing at all to do with compassion, although it does make it sound better just like the word undocumented sounds better than illegal. Compassion sounds better than “we need their votes to win”. Of course, mistakes sounds better than murder ,too. I am sure if there was ever a chance to ask any of these candidates about any of their friends, they would tell us that.. “well, some of them made mistakes…”, only those “mistakes” cost human lives~ several human lives. Human lives of the very people that our next president will be sworn to protect. I don’t much think any of the three senators will be protecting anything but themselves.
They will protect us like they protected Zinna Linnik, the twelve year old girl whose life was needlessly taken only days after the American people stopped them from giving Terapon Dang Adhahn his undeserved citizenship. They will shield us like they shielded Ryan Ostendorf, a 28 year old paramedic, who was also a Kansas University student and who dreamed of becoming a doctor, killed by illegal alien Victor Anzua-Torresa who had ignored an order to receive treatment after his previous drunken-driving conviction. Anzua-Torresa had also been previously deported in 2000 and been arrested for several other offenses, including possession of drug paraphernalia. They will care for us just like they cared for Gissela Silvestre, 23 months, who died from her injuries Oct. 16 after spending two days in critical condition at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.
They will honor us the way they honored Jason Okon, a three-year veteran Army combat engineer who recently returned from Iraq, where he was awarded a Bronze Star for valor and was assaulted in his front yard on February 2, 2007, perhaps they will sponsor a bill that will bring back Tenisha Williams, 26, her husband, S.J. Williams, and her son, 2-year-old Xavier Brown killed on August 11, 2007 by drunk driving, illegal alien Juan Felix Salinas. Or at the very least, allow the police to know that the jaywalker you are about to stop is an illegal immigrant with a gun and he is about to shoot you in face. Maybe they will use their presidential mandate to alert us when a illegal immigrant is driving drunk and about to run a red light and end our lives as in the case of 22-year-old Joycelyn Gardiner, and perhaps they can protect the elderly from being prey to an illegal immigrant with a crow bar, perhaps they will not be left laying semi-conscious, fighting for their lives on the floor of their home, bleeding profusely from massive blows to the face and the head — the victim of repeated strikes to the head with a crowbar. Perhaps, but I think not.
You see, when it comes to their accomplishments they fail to mention these people. They fail to tell you that along with those hard-working immigrants that they care so much about, there are these people as well. They forget to mention that not once, but three times- they voted to make each and every one of those people legal American citizens. That not once during the debates over this bill, were the American people- or their concerns -mentioned by them or their cohorts, but the illegal immigrants were mentioned, we heard every single complaint, concern and wish of those hard working illegal immigrants but they- not a one- stood up in defense of our people, our families. Not once did they consider the people who would be affected by this and now they want to be our president.
I, for one, will not be considering any of them, either…

Are we headed toward a “Mexico-Canada-America” Nation?
PREMEDITATED MERGER - North American Union ‘a couple years away’ - Bilderberg author who 1st exposed plot in 1996 sees EU replication as imminent
WASHINGTON – The next giant step toward world government will be integration of the U.S., Canada and Mexico in European Union-style merger in the next few years, says the author of a best-selling book on the power of shadowy international organizations promoting the move.
“I would say [it’s just] a couple of years away,” reports Daniel Estulin, author of “The True Story of the Bilderberg Group.”
Estulin, a Canadian now living in Europe, says the original plans for a North American Union involved the U.S. and Canada as the prime participants. It was motivated primarily by the desire to harvest Canada’s abundant natural resources.
In his new book, Estulin reveals the first efforts in this plan date back to 1996 when the elite Bilderberg Group first discussed plans for the dismantlement of Canada as an independent nation and proposed its merger – minus Quebec – with the United States into a Greater North America.
The Flying Monkey Right is warning that we are just …
