At the democratic convention, a very young, handsome and polished black man appeared in full support of John Kerry. It was a young man from Illinois, and a young man I had never heard from before. His name was Barack Obama. Before the convention, there was quite a stir about how he would look, if he would break under the pressure, and so on. I gather his ‘performance’ came off, without a hitch.

When Jack Ryan’s campaign ended suddenly over the pressure to release his divorce records, I was taken aback. I mean when you look at people such as Hillary and Bill Clinton, who seem to stare down scandal, even when they’re terribly guilty. I looked into Obama’s record, and learned he has an incredibly liberal voting record–and he is one of a handful of politicians who are backed by George Soros. He is, then, in the company of Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, to be sure.

At any rate, I waited anxiously to see who would be handsome Obama’s opponent in the race for the Senate chair.

Then out swoops another good-looking man I’d never heard of–Dr. Alan Keyes, from of all places-Maryland. But everything I heard was worthy of joyful dancing. I actually got out of my car one morning and did the ‘hammer’.

Here is a man–with principles. Here is a God-fearing man, not a Godless one. Here is a man, who, like our founding fathers, associates public life with his faith and God and isn’t afraid to act like he has a faith in God. Barack Obama is in favor of partial birth abortions. Dr. Alan Keyes is very emotional and clear in his belief that partial birth abortions are not part of a world where we believe in God.

I know that Barack Obama, with his dream of a better America, which is apparently a better America that will involve bigger government and fewer freedoms for you and me, has a large and worthy opponent in Dr. Alan Keyes. And I pray for the good doctor and his family every night. Hoping that he doesn’t have any skeletons in his closet–because I know, that if there is one, George Soros’ money will ferret it out to put on humiliating display.
