Is hope for help a distant dream?

The passion for power to dominate, to control and to rule one’s fellow humans is an ancient impulse. It goes back to medieval times when certain characters had the desire to force their will upon those around them.

Islamic Republic is not an exception to this rule. They, too, have ruled over defenseless Persians for the past 26 years, with iron fists and with absolute power. It has caused millions of people to flee their country. For those remaining, have been subject to mass executions, thousands upon thousands of fabricated arrests, thousands of people torn away from their homes and thrown into prison. They have been subjected to torture, made to confess to the crimes they never committed, and then either exterminated or sent back to medieval Islamic torture chambers where they simply faded away. It is difficult for many people to even talk about these horrible tragedies.

In 1979, upon returning from his long exile, Ayatollah Khomeini set the stage for gaining absolute power via primitive Islamic rules and by employing hundreds of thousands of overzealous revolutionary guards and militia police repression against opposition elements within the country. The machinery of coercion went to work against the Iranian people who had fought a long fight against the totalitarian regimes and who were unaware of the plot of one the greatest terrorist minded individuals of the twentieth century. The year 1979 was the beginning of the rejuvenation of the evil empire of Islam. (more…)

Where To From Here?

The election of 2004 is now history. It’s time to ponder our next four years. Will our country become freer, richer, safer, and more peaceful, or will we continue to suffer from lost civil liberties, a stagnant economy, terrorist threats, and an expanding war in the Middle East and central Asia? Surely the significance of the election was reflected in its intensity and divisiveness.

More people voted for President Bush than any other presidential candidate in our history. And because of the turnout, more people voted against an incumbent president than ever before. However, President Bush was reelected by the narrowest popular vote margin of any incumbent president since Woodrow Wilson in 1916. The numbers are important and measurable; the long-term results are less predictable. The president and many others have said these results give the President a “mandate.” Exactly what that means and what it may lead to is of great importance to us all. Remember, the nation reelected a president in 1972 with a much bigger mandate who never got a chance to use his political capital. (more…)

Airborne Effervescent

Being that I’m not much of an Oprah fan and my mom is, at Thanksgiving, she raved about a product called “Airborne Effervescent”. She said it was developed by a school teacher who was sick and tired of getting sick from her students during the winter months. Mom is a big one for the natural remedies, having had a long career as a nurse and appreciating the benefits of whole food and as close-to-scratch-as-possible cooking. Which makes her a pain in the a$$ if she comes over for dinner, if you know what I mean. But anyway, I digress.

It’s an herbal formula, and it comes in a packet that you use kind of like Alka Seltzer. It also comes in tablets. But I saw my dad use it like alka seltzer. It’s an immune system booster. I just love these natural herbal remedies, when I was in High School, I worked at a natural food store. I’m getting some for my guys and me. My dad took it right before we had our Thanksgiving dinner.

Today Marks Israel Milestone

Anniversary of the UN vote on Resolution 181

Today is the anniversary of the UN vote on resolution 181, which approved the partition of the western part Palestine into a predominately Jewish state and a predominately Arab state. (It is vital to recall that the UN partition plan referred to western Palestine, to underscore that in 1921 the eastern part was ripped off the Jewish National Home by the British Government and handed over to the then Emir Abdullah.)

The partition plan was approved by 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions.

The 33 countries that cast the “Yes” vote were: Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Byelorussia, Canada, Costa Rica, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Iceland, Liberia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, Union of South Africa, USSR, USA, Uruguay, Venezuela. (Among other countries, the list includes the US, the three British Dominions, all the European countries except for Greece and the UK, but including all the Soviet-block countries.)

The 13 countries that chose the Hall of Shame and voted “No” were: Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen. (Ten of these are Moslem countries; Greece has the special distinction of being the only European country to have joined the Hall of Shame.)

The ten countries that abstained are: Argentina, Chile, China, Colombia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Honduras, Mexico, United Kingdom, Yugoslavia.

On November 30, 1947, the day following the vote, the Palestinian Arabs murdered six Jews in a bus making its way to Jerusalem, and proceeded to murder another Jew in the Tel-Aviv - Jaffa area. This was a prelude to a war that claimed the lives of 6,000 Jews, or 1% of the total Jewish population in 1948. This toll is the per capita equivalent of today’s Canada losing 300,000 lives, or the US losing 3,000,000.

The object of the war, launched by the Arabs in the former Palestine and the armies of Egypt, Tansjordan, Syria and Lebanon (with help from other Arab countries), was to “throw the Jews into the sea”. As the partition map indicates, however, rather than annihilate the Jewish population, the Arabs ended up with less territory than they would have gained by peaceful means.

In addition to the bloodshed in nascent Israel, immediately after the UN vote, Arabs attacks their Jewish neighbours in a number of Arab countries, the murders in Syria’s Aleppo being the best known.

Bruised and bleeding, Israel prevailed nonetheless. May our sister-democracy thrive and flourish.

Grilled sandwich goes on tour

Diana Duyser talks about the grilled-cheese sandwich she cooked 10 years ago, Wednesday at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Fla., before turning it over to the new owner. The sandwich sold for $28,000 on eBay.

This is the stupidest story I’ve ever heard and it keeps getting worse!

Faith In God & The ACLU

This is a great petition: Let’s get the ACLU off taxpayer dole –Legal group awarded 1/2 million of our tax dollars for ridding courthouse of 10 Commandments. IMHO, the taxpayers shouldn’t be paying for an atheist agenda when this country was founded on moral principles.

The Department of Defense cannot expect to win wars abroad if it is capitulating to the demands of political correctness at home. Our armed forces must be aligned with the standards of character that make America worth fighting for.

Americans who care about our nation’s moral condition and national security must contact the Department of Defense and tell them to stand up for the Boy Scouts. Send a comment to Secretary Rumsfeld – tell him that he must do everything possible to reverse this settlement with the ACLU.

Join with other Americans in expressing that the Ten Commandments should be legally displayed in all public places. It is important that we have a moral basis for our laws. Red Army Progressives

NOW I get it. A big stinking “red flag” should go up for you any time you hear someone refer to themselves as a “progressive”. Telling signs of a”Progressive” website: “Moveon.org”, “Michael Moore”, ACLU affiliation, lamenting the plight of the poor repressed Gays, are often featured and complaints about Halliburton.

Many times, these self-proclaimed “progressives” have ties to or admit they are a “proud member of the ACLU”. It’s no wonder my talking about God at Thanksgiving brought at least two of them out from under a rock the other day (click here for some of that exchange in ‘comments’).

Vote Tillman for Sportsman Of the Year

Pat Tillman, photographed in Puyallup, Wash., on June 2003, was killed in Afghanistan early this year in April.

Pat Tillman walked away from a 3.6 million dollar contract from the Arizona Cardinals after 9/11 to join his brother in the U.S. Army. Earlier this year, Tillman was killed in Afghanistan. Many of those who serve our nation in a part-time capacity never flinch, never complain, and are happy to go fight when Uncle Sam calls them. Most may not leave a career in NFL football, but they do leave their jobs, families, and friends behind to protect our country at home and abroad when asked. For their service we are thankful.

Sports Illustrated is taking votes on Sportsman of the Year. Pat Tillman is on the short list, but is running third. Please go and vote for him here. Tillman gave his life for the country he loved. Now let’s do something for him.

Fallujah Atrocities-the other side

Let’s take a look at what the other side’s been up to. Looks like numerous weapons caches and the slaughterhouses complete with blood stained walls and sand that was used to clean up the blood. I heard as you approached one of these buildings you could smell it before you went in.

These are pictures of how our enemy has been operating in Fallujah. Rusty has a little commentary on these images, including the Chevy Suburban registered in Texas, that they were turning into a car bomb.

Interesting; I don’t remember any C-BS stories on this.

Dec of Independence Banned & Other News

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A California teacher has been barred by his school from giving students documents from American history that refer to God — including the Declaration of Independence.

Wow, and the Agressive Progressive says I’m promoting hate. With the kind of rhetoric these progressives are using, I have to wonder if they are professional activists for the left. (click here)

There is an active assault on family values in our schools, with Gay Activism including Gay Activism having to do with the Boy Scouts. (click here) Here’s another article on how the homosexual activists are targeting our children (click here) by going after the Boy Scouts and 4-H Clubs.

In August 2000, the president of the Toledo chapter of PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) who led an anti-Boy Scout rally there, turned out to be a convicted child molester. John Helmstreet, who admits to being a homosexual, had organized a protest in front of a Boy Scout council building. It turns out that Helmstreet confessed in 1992 to molesting a 10-year old boy. When asked if he thought the Scouts should exclude homosexuals, he did not respond. GLSEN was a co-sponsor of the protest. Helmstreet is still listed on the Toledo PFLAG web site as chapter chairman. That chapter meets, ironically, in an Episcopal church.

A school social worker who was a leader of the Chicago chapter of GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) was arrested last August in an Internet investigation. Dave P. Thomas of Chicago was charged with indecent solicitation of a child. The boy, who was identified as being between 13 and 16, had met with Thomas on many occasions for sex.

What’s amazing is how openly supportive the homosexual community is about sex with children. There are few attempts to mask this and in fact, it’s frequently flaunted. The grand marshal of the 1999 “gay” pride parade in San Francisco was Harry Hay. Hay was one of the founders of the “gay rights” movement back in the 1950s and ’60s. Hay has been openly supportive of the pedophile group NAMBLA, the North American Man/ Boy Love association, and marched in their parade in 1993.

K-Mart back in the porn business-Much of the music (with parent advisory stickers on it) promotes activities such as killing parents and law officials, gang-raping girls, and having sex with animals. Many also include the most vulgar profanities.

Christians, who were peacefully demonstrating with their Bibles and signs, are arrested in Philadelphia. (click here) You don’t have to read that whole thing, here’s the main thrust of it:

On October 10, a group of 11 Christian activists, ranging in age from 17 to 72, were arrested during the city’s “Outfest”–a pro-homosexual event, staged to celebrate “National Coming Out Day.” Led by a controversial evangelist named Michael Marcavage, founder of “Repent America,” the group arrived at the event carrying protest signs, Bibles, and hymn books. As they conducted their evangelism, they were confronted by a militant homosexual group calling itself the “Pink Angels”.

According to an account published by Agape Press (A Christian news service), the homosexual radicals harassed the Christian activists, “screaming obscenities, hooting and whistling to drown out their message. Some of the Pink Angels carried large signs alongside the Christians to block their message and prevent them from speaking with other Outfest attendees.” (These incidents were captured on videotape.) In short order, the Philadelphia Police Departments’ Civil Affairs Unit ordered that the Christians be arrested and taken into custody. (click here)

Marcavage and his associates were charged with a variety of offenses, including “ethnic intimidation”–a second-degree felony “hate crime”–”criminal conspiracy”, and “possession of instruments of crime” (which would apparently refer to the bibles and protest signs) Pennsylvania’s “ethnic intimidation” law includes “sexual orientation” as a specially protected category.

Hmmm. I wonder what the “pink” in “Pink Angels” means. NOT.

Sen. Kennedy wants power over the US Constitution. He organized a federal lawsuit - a legal maneuver that, coming from a member of the United States Senate, is WRONG, UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and UNPRECEDENTED in our history. If Sen. Kennedy wins the lawsuit, this one Senator will acquire virtual “veto power” over the President’s appointments of judges. (click here)
