July 4th Show on Wide Awakes Radio; The Key to Victory

Filed under: Blogosphere , General , Wide Awakes Radio: WAR @ 5:59 pm

Preparing for the radio show has been interesting. But I’m happy to say, people are lining up for interviews and stuff, so it should be fun.

Still looking for advertisers & sponsors for my shows; please email me at cao-at-superpatriots.us for details and copy kendermacgowan-at-gmail-dot-com if you’re interested. I have 10 minutes of advertising per hour that all kinds of businesses could leverage and put to good use. I can either read your ad copy or play your 30-60 second spot.

I will be on Tuesdays from 5-7 CST, and Wednesdays, Fridays from 4-6 CST. Sundays I’ll also be on from 4-6 together with Terry Dillard from the Right Track Blog. That show on Sundays is The TD and Cao Show (TD and KEY Show).

My first show on Wide Awakes Radio is set for July 4th from 5-7 CST. The first hour, I have two interviews scheduled.

First up at the beginning of the hour will be Amy Proctor and her husband, Johnny. Amy is a 30-something Christian Republican woman born and raised in northeastern USA. She married her husband in 1988 and they have 4 wonderful children. She left her job as a paralegal with a State Bar Association to raise her children and focus on family life. In 1993, her husband Johnny joined the US Army and has served with 4th ID, 101st ABN DIV (Rakkasans), 2nd ID (Korea, DMZ) and the 82nd ABN DIV (2nd BDE- HOOAH!). He has been deployed to Haiti, Korea for a year and Iraq for a year during the expeditionary phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Proctors love being an Army family and supporting their country.

Amy and her family are devout Catholics. They are very involved in ministry in the Church and also support the Christian Churches in Iraq. Amy & Johnny have raised nearly $15,000 for the Church in Iraq through designated offerings at Ft. Bragg, NC and Ft. Campbell, KY. They also assist the Church in Iraq through charitable giving from private donors.

Amy’s achievements as an Army wife include citations from both the 101st Airborne Division, 187th Infantry (Rakkasans) as Family Readiness Group leader & 82nd Airborne Division, 325th Infantry Regiment for outstanding support to military families. She also received the Dr. Mary E. Walker Award (11/01) while at Ft. Bragg, NC, the highest award going to a military spouse for supporting & improving the quality of life for soldiers and their families.

Amy has written editorials in numerous newspapers throughout the country and is currently writing articles for AGreaterFreedom.Com and California Conservative.

Her husband Johnny is incredible. JOHN: To be brief, he’s really awesome and has been promoted very quickly. He’s looking to promote possibly this fall to E-8 after 13 years active duty. He’s a Ch. Assistant.

Chaplain assistants are combatant soldiers that integrate chaplains into the full spectrum of military operations. They can be described as a cross between a pastoral assistant and an infantryman. They run chapel programs and facilities, perform crisis intervention, perform operational planning and fight in tactical formations. They ensure coverage of all faiths in the command and coordinate for chaplains of different faith traditions to minister to their soldiers. Chaplain assistants are assigned at every level of headquarters in the Army beginning at battalion (about 600 soldiers) level.

My second interview on July 4th will be with Vince Micco, who is running for the Senate seat in New Jersey’s 9th district and is running against the 5-time incumbent democratic opponent, Steven R. Rothman (D). Vince is a great candidate, an Iraq war veteran, jumping into the nasty fray and needs all the support we can muster. I’ll be talking with him about his Iraq war experiences, and what he plans to accomplish should he be the victor in this senate race. He will be guest #2 right before Jack Idema who will be with me the entire second hour.

GO TO HIS WEBSITE AND DONATE TO HIS CAMPAIGN!

Just like in Murtha’s district, conservatives across the country should be lending their support to Micco’s campaign. Log onto Wide Awakes Radio on July 4th and listen while we walk through some of his challenges, and let’s throw some support behind the guy. It’s time Rothman stepped out when he is not in touch with the issues that are important to his constituents. Let’s show the democrats how their extremist marxist code pink stance on the war is going to help them to lose at the polls.

Vince Micco, 34, a reservist who served in Iraq for a year, will face five-time Democratic incumbent Steve Rothman, 53, in the 9th Congressional District in Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties.

“I’m an Iraq war veteran, and it really bothers me the way the war is being portrayed by the president’s critics,” said Micco, a former Army sergeant who was a counterintelligence specialist in Iraq and an Army reservist for nine years.

“I am running because the American people can and should be proud of what we’re accomplishing in Iraq, and throughout the Middle East,” Micco said.

Micco, who has been active in Bergen County Republican politics for years and served two terms as the head of the Bergen County Young Republicans, said he has the endorsement of the county Republican organization.

The Republican candidate, who works as a mortgage banker and lives in Rutherford, said he decided to run after Rothman called for a rapid pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq, saying that the war had hurt the military, the war on terrorism and the economy.

It bothers a lot of the guys I talk with, my son included, so I am anxious to get Vince in the air to talk about that and other issues in the 9th District in New Jersey.

The second hour, I will be in the air with Jack Idema, former special forces soldier and Green Beret, who was falsely convicted by a taliban court in September of 2004 on ridiculous charges and remains at Pulacharke prison in Afghanistan as a ‘political prisoner’. I have covered his story extensively at Cao’s blog on him–it’s unbelievable. In fact, I have over 150 posts about it. You’ve absolutely got to hear what’s happening. He will be talking with us live from Afghanistan. This is going to be something you won’t want to miss, and the hour afterwards, I’ll be off the air but he’ll be riding on alone, no holds barred. That will be an exciting event that I’m going to be sitting on the edge of my seat to hear.
You won’t want to miss Jack’s regular show on Mondays, from 10-12 EST. You can see his website for his show at Rogue Radio Live. And be careful; that website is adult rated, but it’s funnier than hell.

The 4th of July show will all be exciting, and I hope you’ll come and join me at The Key to Victory Show on Wide Awakes Radio, and hang to listen to Jack Idema from 7-8 CST for a taste of what’s in store for Jack’s Rogue Radio Live shows on Monday mornings from 10-12 EST.

Busy behind the scenes, although you shouldn’t see much of a difference on the blog.

Just know that I am grateful to be living in the United States of America, even though we seem to be headed toward socialist green government with every inch of our lives legislated in some way.

There was once a time when we lived free….and that is what we are going to be striving for–fighting to take our country back, inform, amuse and get people thinking- on Wide Awakes Radio.

I will have a post up shortly about what my unusual show will be like for July 4th. My show on WAR Radio is called “The Key to Victory”, and it should be absolutely loads of fun.

I am now looking for interesting people to interview on subsequent shows, some of whom I’m pursuing through phone messages and emails. If you’re interested in being a guest, please email me at caoilfhionn1@gmail.com

My son is coming home from Iraq on July 4th; this will be a jam-packed exciting week for me and my whole family!

Stop the ACLU blogburst

Filed under: ACLU , General @ 4:59 am

If it is a tool we use in the fight against terror one can bet that the ACLU will be against it. When the NY Times revealed classified information that we are trying to track international phone calls of suspected terrorists, the ACLU took that ball and are still running with it. When the NY Times leaked classified information that we are trying to track international bank transactions in order to catch terrorists the ACLU jumped on board with that too. If the NY Times doesn’t leak it to everyone, the ACLU will do its best by filing freedom of Information Act requests.

In the face of suspicions that the government is using cutting-edge brain-scanning technologies on suspected terrorists being held overseas or at home, the American Civil Liberties Union today announced that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with all the primary American security agencies.

“There are certain things that have such powerful implications for our society — and for humanity at large — that we have a right to know how they are being used so that we can grapple with them as a democratic society,” said Barry Steinhardt, Director of the ACLU’s Technology and Liberty Project. “These brain-scanning technologies are far from ready for forensic uses and if deployed will inevitably be misused and misunderstood.”

I know that the ACLU claim to be the experts on rights, but I’m not sure where they found this “right to know” every secret government program used in a time of war. This must be one of those rights the ACLU made up out of thin air. Furthermore the ACLU’s leap that it would be inevitable that the program would be misused and misunderstood is pure biased opinion on their part.

Here is a brief description of the program.

FMRI is a technique for determining which parts of the brain are activated by different types of physical sensation or activity, such as sight, sound or the movement of a subject’s fingers. This “brain mapping” is achieved by setting up an advanced MRI scanner in a special way so that the increased blood flow to the activated areas of the brain shows up on Functional MRI scans. (See here for a description of the physiology of the BOLD response.) The whole FMRI process will now be briefly described.

The subject in a typical experiment will lie in the magnet and a particular form of stimulation will be set up. For example, the subject may wear special glasses so that pictures can be shown during the experiment. Then, MRI images of the subject’s brain are taken. Firstly, a high resolution single scan is taken. This is used later as a background for highlighting the brain areas which were activated by the stimulus. Next, a series of low resolution scans are taken over time, for example, 150 scans, one every 5 seconds. For some of these scans, the stimulus (in this case the moving picture) will be presented, and for some of the scans, the stimulus will be absent. The low resolution brain images in the two cases can be compared, to see which parts of the brain were activated by the stimulus.

After the experiment has finished, the set of images is analyzed. Firstly, the raw input images from the MRI scanner require mathematical transformation (Fourier transformation, a kind of spatial “inversion”) to reconstruct the images into “real space”, so that the images look like brains. The rest of the analysis is done using a series of tools which correct for distortions in the images, remove the effect of the subject moving their head during the experiment, and compare the low resolution images taken when the stimulus was off with those taken when it was on. The final statistical image shows up bright in those parts of the brain which were activated by this experiment. These activated areas are then shown as coloured blobs on top of the original high resolution scan, for interpretation of the experiment. This combined activation image can be rendered in 3D, and the rendering can be calculated from any angle. (See here for a brief overview of GLM analysis.)

Now why would the public need to know about this and debate it? This kind of information is for our elected officials to decide, and our enemies don’t need to know about it.

Back to the ACLU…

The most likely technology to be used for anti-terrorism purposes is Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), which can produce live, real-time images of people’s brains as they answer questions, view images, listen to sounds, and respond to other stimuli. Two private companies have announced that they will begin to offer “lie detection” services using fMRI as early as this summer. These companies are marketing their services to federal government agencies, including the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, the National Security Agency and the CIA, and to state and local police departments.

“This technology must not be deployed until it is proven effective — and we are a long way away from that point, according to scientists in the field,” said Steinhardt. “What we don’t want is to open our newspapers and find that another innocent person has been thrown into Guantánamo because interrogators have jumped to conclusions based on a technology no one understands very well.”

Who does the effectiveness of the program have to be proven to? If it has to be proven to the ACLU it would never happen. If the companies that have developed the technology are providing this service to the government as a useful means they are staking their reputation on its effectiveness. The ACLU admit that they don’t understand it well. Who would better understand it than those that developed it?

The ACLU’s FOIA requests were filed yesterday with the Pentagon, NSA, CIA, FBI and Department of Homeland Security.

“These brain-scanning technologies have potentially far-reaching implications, yet uncertain results and effectiveness,” said Steinhardt. “And we are still in our infancy when it comes to understanding the underlying processes of the brain that the scanners have begun to reveal. We do not want to see our government yet again deploying a potentially momentous technology unilaterally and in secret, before Americans have had a chance to figure out how it fits in with our values as a nation.”

The Uncooperative Blogger says:

I say let’s experiment on terrorist, what better testing ground can you ask for? The ACLU has become just plain ridiculous, and they are not working in the best interest of our country. The New York Times, the leakers and the ACLU, who I refer to as the American Communist Liberation Union, are killing us in the war on terror!

So, what are we going to learn from an FOIA request? That they are using what I just told you about? Gee, that will be very helpful to the American people won’t it?

I’d just like to know how the ACLU would have us handle the war on terror. It seems they want us to fight the killers with kid gloves. If someone can name me one anti-terrorist program our government has implemented that the ACLU has approved of we might have a debate. I can’t think of one. If we are to fight the war on terror the way the ACLU wants we might as well just go ahead and surrender.

Bill O’Reilly is right on target.

The anti-Bush crew, led by The New York Times and the ACLU want civilian trials for terrorists, no coerced interrogation, no rendition for terrorists to other countries, no war in Iraq, and on and on. As I opine, The Times and other committed left media believe the Bush administration — and not the terrorists — is the primary danger to this country.

Thats ironic, because every once in a while I think it is the ACLU and far left that pose more of a danger to America.

Wictory Wednesday

Filed under: GOP And RINOs , General , Grassroots @ 6:29 pm

This week Wictory Wednesday is supporting the reelection of Senator George Allen of Virginia. Sen. Allen has been a consistent supporter of conservative values in the Senate, earning a place in the ranks of the American Conservative Union’s Best and Brightest.

Sen. Allen is a supporter of fiscal conservativism and introduced legislations to require a balanced budget. He also supported a law that would dock congressmen’s paychecks if they failed to produce a budget by October 1st. The idea that legislators should be penalized for failure to do the few things they must do is one that should be whole-heartedly supported.

While Senator Allen does support accountability for school systems and supporting programs that succeed, support for school choice is notably lacking. There is no better accountability than allowing people to leave failing schools, taking tax dollars with them.

Illegal immigration is an issue many legislators are running away from while Senator Allen has the courage to take a stand. He understands what should be common-sense, immigrating legally is a good thing, immigrating illegally is a bad thing. It is obvious that decades of not enforcing immigration law hasn’t worked and perhaps it’s time we give law and order a chance. We don’t need to demean the people who came here while the government basically said it wouldn’t enforce the law, but that doesn’t mean blanket amnesty… or for that matter, lavishing rewards on illegal immigrants.

Lastly, while it has become chic for members of Congress to suggest it’s time to surrender to America’s enemies and to proclaim that America is the cause of every world problem, Senator Allen understands that no victory came through surrender. The war on terror and Iraq are difficult problems that lesser men run away from by planting their heads in the sand. Winning the War in Iraq takes time and with plans for troop reductions under way, it’s clear that “stay the course” is not only a strategy, but a strategy that’s working.

Please considering donating to Sen. Allen’s reelection campaign or volunteering your time.

Just a reminder; WAR Radio is launching on July 4th.

My show is called “The Key to Victory”, and will be in the air July 4th from 5-7 CST.

From 6-7, I will be in the air live, with Jack Idema all the way from Afghanistan.

From 7-8 CST, he will be in the air, when Rogue Radio Live will debut.

You can check out the WAR website here for details on the hosts and the schedule for upcoming shows.

Jack’s show will be on Mondays from 10-12 EST.

There have been a lot of examples of NGOs and “Human Rights” organizations attacking the people who are willing to fight the war on terror, we should all make sure we’re aware of this and support our men in uniform, and be aware of frauds like Watada, Pepperspray Productions who is not only spreading the shifty eyed moonbat poster boy Watada who took the place of fake iraq veteran Jesse McBeth, etc.. Disinformation and propaganda is what these people excel at, it is their business. Particularly in the case of one science fiction writer, where “SF” stands for “Science Fiction”, not Special Forces.

Mark June 27th as a day to REFUSE ILLEGAL DISOBEDIENCE and recognize the sacrifices of real heroes like Jack Idema.

Jack and Brent are still at Pulacharke, which is something all Americans should be concerned about in light of the accusations against the Marines in the Haditha incident, the marine singing “Hadji Girl”, and the Pendleton 8. Luckily, not all stories end up like Jack’s; Ilario Pantano was accused of killing Iraqis last year, went through a horrible trial and was raked through the coals by the media, but came out ‘innocent’ on the other side, although sadly, the Marine corps lost an honorable American marine when afterwards he resigned his commission. In a way, I suppose you could say the leftists had their victory when that happened; one less person to fight the war on terror on the battlefield. Hopefully, though, men like Pantano and Jack Idema can still fight the war in other ways–like confronting head-on- media lies.

Jack and Brent were declared innocent by the Afghan court in a second trial, and we should find out-we deserve to know-why they’re still being held at Pulacharke. It isn’t bad enough that they’ve endured all this time alongside our sworn enemies; the Taliban and Al Qaeda; and defied death to tell the tale of 7 horrifying Al Qaeda assassination attempts- now we have the American government making plans to send some of the terrorists at Gitmo to Pulacharke.

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog, and who believes the WoT still needs fighting, can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There’s also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack’s story.

Fairtax Blogburst

Filed under: Fairtax , General @ 2:41 am

by TD of The Right Track

With any proposal, sooner or later the naysayers start their doom-and-gloom predictions. The FairTax proposal is no exception. There are those out there whining and crying about how “it won’t really work that way”, despite the fact that the current income tax system isn’t working the way it’s supposed to work. I suppose their fear is exchanging the devil they know for the devil they don’t know. In this article, I’ll highlight some of their worries and attempt to dispel them.

A national sales tax will create a huge black market.

Among all the arguments to be made against the FairTax, perhaps this one holds the least water. Arguments are made that this “black market” will spring up, with people “illegally trading DVDs, cigarettes, canned foods” yada yada yada. OK, illegally trading? What’s illegal today about trading those items? Nothing! So what’s the problem?

“They’ll be avoiding the tax!”

And that’s bad, why? My wife buys romance novels at a used book store now. She’d be avoiding the tax, too. She’s also reading books that everyone else read weeks or months ago. I say, “Come on, black market!” Only the market won’t be black. It can be right in a store front, advertising used books, consignment shops for clothes, furniture, camping equipment, you name it! A whole new type of business will emerge! That will be great for the economy, right? Right!

The national sales tax will give government another reason to make cash purchases illegal.

Those making this argument claim that paying with cash will make it easier to avoid paying the tax. This is simply ridiculous. Number one, most businesses are run by honest, dependable people. It’s not the business owner that’s being taxed, remember, it’s the purchaser of goods and services. With penalties for those who attempt to cheat the system, the onus is on the business to be open and above-board in collecting and paying the tax. The businesses will keep a small percentage of what they collect in order to offset their expenses in collecting and reporting the tax! While the consumer might hope for a break from the tax, it would be the rare businessman who would collude with the consumer in his scheme to avoid the tax!

The tax will be used to track your entire financial life.

Coming so closely after the previous argument, you have to laugh. First folks are going to pay with cash to avoid the tax, then the tax will be used to track your entire financial life. Unbelievable. How so? You’re not filing a return, are you? To do this, the government would have to:

  1. Obtain records of your purchases from retail or service center outlets
  2. Obtain records of your purchases from your financial institution
  3. Collate the records in order to see what went where
  4. Have a really good reason to waste their time doing this

But remember, the tax applies to new goods and services only. Don’t want the government to know you bought that new Humvee? Get last year’s model from a used car dealer. Want a couple of evening gowns? Hit the new consignment shop that just opened up a few blocks from your work. But do you know why the government won’t track your entire financial life? Simply put, you’re not that big a deal. Sorry to deflate your ego, but why would the government care to delve into your personal finances? They don’t care what you spend money on, as long as they get their cut!

Simply put, any tax scheme can run rampant over the American people without diligent and unceasing attention on the part of the American taxpayer. It is up to you and I to keep our government on a short leash. We must realize that there are no free rides. When the government gives you something, they have to take something away from you first in order to do so.

As author Edward Abbey said, “A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against its government.”

Kerry’s 180

Filed under: General , Jean Francois Kerrie @ 5:10 am

Deroy Murdock ON Kerry’s 180 from NRO:

Key aspects of Kerry’s Vietnam biography appear to be taking on water.

Echoing the findings of Internet journalists such as WorldNetDaily’s Art Moore, Fox News Channel’s Major Garrett reported Monday on Special Report with Brit Hume that Kerry’s own contemporaneous journal seems to confirm his critics’ claims that he did not deserve his first Purple Heart.

As historian Douglas Brinkley explains on pages 188 and 189 of Kerry’s authorized HarperCollins biography, Tour of Duty], Kerry and his crew set out from Cat Lo, South Vietnam in Swift Boat PCF-44 in high spirits in mid-December, 1968. As Brinkley writes, Kerry “who had just turned twenty-five, on December 11, 1968 — was a fine leader of his men.” At about that time, Kerry himself wrote this in his notebook: “A cocky feeling of invincibility accompanied us up the Long Tau shipping channel because we hadn’t been shot at yet, and Americans at war who haven’t been shot at are allowed to be cocky.”

Hadn’t been shot at yet?

Just days earlier, Kerry experienced what he called a “minor skirmish” with the Vietcong on December 2, 1968. The next day, Dr. Louis Letson removed a small sliver of shrapnel from above Kerry’s left elbow and covered it with a Band-Aid. On December 4, Kerry applied to Commander Grant Hibbard for a Purple Heart. Hibbard spurned Kerry’s request. Hibbard was unimpressed with Kerry’s minor wound (”I’ve seen worse injuries from a rose thorn,” he says on page 38 of John O’Neill’s and Jerome Corsi’s bestseller, Unfit for Command) and persuaded that Kerry injured himself with shrapnel from a grenade he hurled improperly. Somehow, Kerry secured a Purple Heart even though his commander threw him out of his office.

Purple Hearts are usually granted for injuries involving hostile fire. Kerry applied on that basis. Nonetheless, about two weeks later, he tells his own journal that “we hadn’t been shot at yet.”

Did Kerry forget within a fortnight that he had faced enemy bullets and ordnance, as is customary for Purple Hearts, or was there really no such fire, as his own words quoted in his approved biography seemingly reveal?

“Kerry’s campaign has said it is possible his first Purple Heart was awarded for an unintentional, self-inflicted wound,” Fox’s Major Garrett concluded.

The documents that could clear this up remain at least partially concealed. In his excellent article on Kerry’s controversial Bronze Star, the Washington Post’s Michael Dobbs wrote Sunday of his difficulties in obtaining all the relevant papers from Kerry’s military years. As Dobbs put it: “Although Kerry campaign officials insist that they have published Kerry’s full military records on their Web site (with the exception of medical records shown briefly to reporters earlier this year), they have not permitted independent access to his original Navy records. A Freedom of Information Act request by The Post for Kerry’s records produced six pages of information. A spokesman for the Navy Personnel Command, Mike McClellan, said he was not authorized to release the full file, which consists of at least a hundred pages.”

Six pages down, 94 to go.

John Kerry’s signature on a National Archives Standard Form 180 would release these and possibly other Navy documents that could answer many of the questions buzzing around Kerry like wasps. To paraphrase President Reagan: Senator Kerry, if you seek the American people’s mandate, open this file. Senator Kerry, sign that form!

Meanwhile, the Kerry camp apparently has abandoned the notion that he ever saw Cambodia in uniform. Most disturbing about this is that Kerry did not simply claim that he may have drifted into Cambodia or that he once thought he was there while actually in South Vietnam. Kerry’s memories — “seared — seared” into his mind, as he said on the Senate floor on March 27, 1986 — included being shot at by the South Vietnamese, the Cambodians, and the Khmer Rouge while supporting clandestine CIA agents, all inside Cambodia.

Kerry even showed what he calls “my good luck hat” to the Washington Post’s Laura Blumenfeld for a June 1, 2003, article. Kerry keeps the green, mildewed headgear in a secret compartment in his briefcase. He said it was “Given to me by a CIA guy as we went in for a special mission in Cambodia.”

So far, the Kerry campaign cannot produce documents, veterans, or any other witnesses to confirm his Cambodian field trip. As commentator Tom Lipscomb amusingly explains in an online American Spectator essay called “Swimming from Cambodia,” Kerry’s narrative has more contours than the Mekong River.

As Kerry’s conflicting accounts collide head-on into each other, it’s easy to see why he once told the Washington Post: “I wish they had a delete button on LexisNexis.”

Furthermore, as the New York Post’s John Podhoretz explained Tuesday, Kerry’s silence on Cambodia years ago belies his subsequent statements about being there.

“If Kerry is to be believed,” Podhoretz wrote, “then this leader of the anti-war movement remained silent in 1973 when he could have spoken out about how he was ordered to violate Cambodian neutrality as early as 1968. Which is why Kerry is not to be believed on this matter.”

Perhaps Kerry really was in Cambodia, deploying Green Berets in conjunction with the CIA. If so, the Kerry campaign should prove it, pronto. If Kerry, in fact, never went into Cambodia while a G.I., he either was spectacularly flummoxed about his whereabouts, deliberately lied about being there to advance his political needs, or truly believes he accompanied an elusive spy who gave him a special hat he carries as a souvenir of his illegal invasion of a neutral country.

Scatterbrain? Liar? Fantasist? Which of these would you like to see in the Oval Office?

Things have gone so sour for John Kerry that he actually called Bob Dole Monday to complain about the former Kansas Republican senator’s statement on CNN Sunday that Kerry should apologize to Vietnam veterans for his anti-war activities and comments he made after returning from Indochina.

“He said he was very disappointed, we’d been friends,” Dole recalled on Sean Hannity’s radio program. “I said John, we’re still friends, but [the Swiftvets] have First Amendment rights, just as your people have First Amendment rights.”

Dole, who grows wiser with age, says he gave Kerry a piece of advice which, had he followed it in the first place, might have steered him clear of the rice paddy in which his campaign is now mired.

“Everybody likes quiet heroes,” Dole told Kerry. He added: “John, everybody knows you were in Vietnam and the less you say about it, the better.”

It is time we all got to see a picture of the famous Kerry “lucky hat,” rather than another account by the latest star-struck journalist. It is time for Kerry to stop alluding to “records” and start producing them. And it is time media assigned reporters with military experience or the resources to analyze this record and see just who is lying about what.

Keller believes you are easily confused

Read Hugh Hewitt parsing through Keller’s lame attempt at defending his paper’s decision to help terrorists understand how we track their financial interests.

Miami 7, Islam and media lies

Apparently some people simply don’t know about the Nation of Islam and its ideological connecton with Al Qaeda and terrorism (which was apparent in the comments section of this post). So I thought I would refer to the reason why I’m referring to the Nation of Islam in direct corrolation to the Miami 7, and the rhetoric where this guy Battiste, their leader, called himself ‘brother nazi’, etc.

Take a look at this over at sweetness and light.

The Chicago Suntimes quotes Aminah Beverly McCloud as an authority on the Moorish Science Temple of America, saying ‘they’re not muslims’. And why not? She teaches at DePaul in their Islamic Studies Department.

The Moorish Science Temple of America
, which is the weird group that these men belonged to, is not what some people like this babe Aminah Beverly McCloud, at DePaul University alleges. She even goes so far as to say they’re ‘not muslims’.

Aminah Beverly McCloud, professor of Islamic studies at DePaul University, said the theology of the Moorish Science Temple of America is a “kind of re-appropriation of Christianity.”

“They are not Muslims,” she said. “They trace their black heritage to Morocco. This is not an Islamic faith. Over half their book, The Holy Quran of the Moorish Science Temple of America, is devoted to the life and works of Jesus.”

Re-appropriation of Christianity? Puhleez! The Quran of the Moorish Science Temple of America depicts Jesus as a prophet of Allah. AND…it says the following in their ‘holy’ texts:

We, as a clean and pure nation descended from the inhabitants of Africa, do not desire to amalgamate or marry into the families of the pale skin nations of Europe. Neither serve the gods of their religion, because our forefathers are the true and divine founders of the first religious creed, for the redemption and salvation of mankind on earth.

Wherefore we are returning the Church and Christianity back to the European Nations, as it was prepared by their forefathers for their earthly salvation.

While we, the Moorish Americans are returning to Islam, which was founded by our forefathers for our earthly and divine salvation.

The other point that needs to be made is this Moorish Science Temple of America is that it has spawned other weird sects like the Nation of Islam (which I find outrageous) AND it should be pointed out that- this lady, Aminah Beverly McCloud from DePaul– who teaches in their Islamic World Studies program– who claimed that the Moorish Science Temple of America teaches about Christ (yeah riiiight)-is a follower of Louis Farrakhan AND…is also a speaker with The Muslim Students Association (MSA), which is a key lobbying organization for the Wahhabi sect of Islam.

And for guys like meathead who probably don’t know what the Wahhabi sect of Islam is–it’s that weird sect of Islam that Bin Laden belongs to-that defines the Wahhabi sect of Islam the only true Islam–so all the other sects are then apostates; this is their religious justification for their murderous rampages; nobody but a Wahhabi is a true muslim. This is why Al Qaeda is considered an ‘extremist’ religious sect; and as I mentioned before, and the media didn’t report it; there was a huge conference in Jordan where 170 scholars from the 8 sects of Islam came together to talk about terrorism and they denounced Bin Laden and Al Qaeda.

As a result of that meeting, the 170 Islamic scholars in attendance issued a statement. The importance of that statement is twofold; 1) recognized Islamic leaders condemn and distance Islam as a religion and themselves from the atrocities committed by Political Islamists, and 2) only religious scholars from the eight recognised Islamic Schools of Jurisprudence may issue fatwas or binding religious rulings. This deprives statements made by Osama Bin Laden of any religious legitimacy.

So…the Nation of Islam is ideologically connected with Al Qaeda, there is no doubt; and Al Qaeda and Bin Laden’s ideology have been denounced by Islam’s religious scholars. Which I find very interesting because–there are professors in our universities today who are teaching this twisted terrorist ideology in Middle Eastern studies programs as though it’s recognized and mainstream. Take this professor Aminah Beverly McCloud at DePaul, for example.

You can read a very revealing piece on this DePaul professor McCloud and the twisted ideology she teaches here.

But apart from what that kook is saying about the Moorish Science Temple of America, you have reality.

Noble Drew Ali (neé Timothy Drew, the founder) and his Moorish Science Temple of America was the progenitor of several bizarre Black Muslim sects, including Louis Farrakhan’s Nation Of Islam.

In fact, Moorish Science was the religion of choice for another al Qaeda fan, Clement Rodney Hampton-Ell — aka Dr. Rashid.

Dr. Rashid was convicted for his part in planning to blow up bridges and tunnels and landmarks around New York City.

The plot was ambitious. The cell wanted to create a “Day of Terror,” with a series of near-simultaneous bombings across New York City. At various stages, the plot looked at tunnels, federal buildings, courthouses and the United Nations as targets. The final list was narrowed down to five, including the U.N., the Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel, the George Washington Bridge and the Manhattan Federal Building, which housed the FBI’s New York offices. It would be a highly synchronized attack, a style now considered an al Qaeda trademark.

Sound familiar?

Dr. Rashid is currently serving a 35 year sentence at the Federal Supermax Prison in Florence, Colorado.

But I guess The Times, meathead, and leftist idiots can’t handle the truth and would prefer to consider the Moorish Science Temple of America precisely what the media has stupidly depicted them as; swallowing lies from people like McCloud, and would consider Rashid along with the Miami 7 - just wayward harmless kooks. Oh and let’s remain politically correct-and not depict them as any particular race or part of any religious group.

Guard Our Borders Blogburst

Filed under: General , Open Borders & Immigration @ 5:00 am

The following article is reprinted with permission via Minuteman HQ email.

An Update from the Minuteman Fence Project Manager

First, let me say thanks to the brave ranchers who are stepping up to put their lives on the line to stop the illegal invasion. They live and work within spitting distance of the Mexican border every day. These brave men and women are working side by side with Minutemen in this war zone they call home, allowing us to secure America.

Second, let’s be clear. Not every single mile of the border or every ranch or rancher is the same. The full-on Israeli-style Security Fence is our primary design and first choice for construction. However, when circumstances dictate adjustment to a Border Fence with barbed wire and a vehicle barrier or another design to meet local requirements, we will make the necessary adaptations—and keep building.

Our plan: Do the job until our government does its duty.

    * Announce the need for the Minuteman Border Fence.
    * Ask again that President Bush do his duty and secure the border.
    * Schedule a groundbreaking to get the Border Fence launched.
    * Begin raising the $55 million needed for 70 miles of fence in AZ.
    * Work with ranchers to design fence to meet specific private landsite requirements.
    * Get steel and contractors to manage the sites.
    * Register and vet fencing volunteers.
    * Build a Minuteman Fence Security Plan to patrol fencing.
    * Set up Volunteer Crews administration and crew management
    * Continue to build fence as fast as resources allow.
    * Start more sites in TX, CA and NM as donations and volunteer capacity permit.
    * Continue Border Watch and Fence Operations until the border is secure.

Fence_Idea.jpg

A Comprehensive Design

Numerous fence design variations will be required to effectively deal with border crossings by illegal aliens, drug dealers and livestock. Derivation from the primary design is necessary to accommodate local ranchers’ specific terrain, topography, herds and other factors.

The important point to remember is that MCDC will not let Vincente Fox tell us or the US ranchers we are working with where or what we can build. No matter what the fence design, MCDC will erect a well-built fence—and fences work. We know they are effective, because we see the results; incursions reduced, and all of the opposition groups and open border supporters screaming to stop the fence.

1) Security Fence - Illegal alien crossing design: A physical barrier capable of stopping people and vehicles has been designed to fit the general terrain. It is also a daunting psychological deterrent that cuts illegal crossings by 95% or more. The security fence will not be easy to compromise by climbing over with a ladder, cannot be cut with wire cutters, breached by ramming with a vehicle, or tunneling under undetected. While no fence can be a 100% impenetrable barrier—the Minuteman Border Fence is an excellent design and will prove time-consuming enough that Border Patrol agents can be alerted and respond before the incursion can be completed.

Our fence plan will keep costs near $150 per foot.

2) Border Fence – Halting drug dealers, illegal aliens and livestock: This style of fence is necessary where full Security Fencing cannot be installed. A physical barrier with a 5 wire barbed wire fence 5′ 6″ high, a vehicle barrier with a horizontal steel barrier in 12’ sections welded to steel post 30” high and razor wire on the ground between the wire fence and the vehicle barrier. This barrier will stop vehicles and cattle and slow down illegal aliens.

This design similar to Border Patrol designs is intended to accomplish the following: Mexican drugs are coming across the border in vehicles and on the backs of mules. The steel barrier stops drug vehicles and is high enough to stop mules from walking over and low enough to keep them from going under. The barbed wire fence keeps Mexican livestock in Mexico. Thousands of diseased Mexican cattle are presently allowed to walk freely into the US unchecked, and MCDC is working with our ranchers to stop the spread of disease. This design is cheaper and faster to erect where urgent conditions warrant, especially in cases of diseased cattle incursions.

Schedule Facts:

April 20, 2006 – Chris Simcox announces the Minuteman Border Fence is to be built if President Bush does not send armed troops to secure the US – Mexico border by Memorial Day 2006.

May 27, 2006
- Successful groundbreaking was held in Arizona on Memorial Day weekend. First 2.5 miles of 10 miles of Border Fence erected. Continue fence fundraising through direct mail, email, national radio affiliates and national speaking tours.

May 27 to June 30
– Finished the first 2.5 mile section of fence, applied for permission on next 7.5 miles, repaired vandalized fence, ordered steel, finalized fence design/civil engineering specifications, retained two local Arizona contractors who hire legally, started vetting volunteers for work crews, completed volunteer delivery of donated construction truck, continue next 7.5 miles, acquire vehicle barrier steel, install vehicle barrier, test/install fence camera technology, plan and implement 24×7 fence security.

June 27
- Second site layout to be finished.

July 6-15
– Security Fence at second location starts.

MINUTEMEN CONTINUE BUILDING BORDER FENCE

A Successful Start on a Security Fence

The successful groundbreaking was held in Arizona on Memorial Day weekend, as President Bush refused to immediately deploy National Guard and reserve troops to secure America’s out-of-control southern border with Mexico.

Hundreds of volunteers—along with Minuteman Founder Chris Simcox, Ambassador Alan Keyes, Congressman Steve King, AZ gubernatorial candidate Don Goldwater, WeNeedAFence.com founder Colin Hanna and AZ Congressional candidate Randy Graf—dug holes, mixed concrete, put up fencing while opposition groups jeered and skeptics said it could not be done. Now MCDC continues with dedicated volunteers, engineers and contractors using LEGAL crews to work with local Arizona land owners in building mile after mile of border security fencing on private land along the border with Mexico. The first site is 10 miles long and the first 2.5 miles of Minuteman Border Fence already has been completed.
How can You Help?

Sign up as a volunteer and get access to the “Minutemen Border Cams” an active web based surveillance link on the fencing project. The Minuteman Border Fence is placing cameras which will be monitored via computer over the Internet by registered Minutemen across the country, so that Minuteman volunteers can observe and report illegal crossings from the computer in their living rooms 24/7.

The Border Fence is already making a difference.

Local reports indicate that drug and human trafficking has already been reduced. There are fewer vehicles in the area where the fence is under construction—proving again that having a presence and taking positive steps to do SOMETHING to secure the border reduces the flow of illegal aliens, potential terrorists, drug and human traffickers, murderers, rapists and thieves in these areas.

More than 1,500 have volunteered to build the fence.

Planning and organization continues as volunteers, materials and contractors are being coordinated in an unprecedented alliance with over 1,500 Minuteman Border Fence volunteers. In the true spirit of the Minutemen of the American Revolution these patriots have joined together to form an army of volunteers to secure our borders and protect America’s sovereignty, security and prosperity.

“The undertaking is monumental and historic” says Chris Simcox.

MCDC is beginning construction of the Israeli-style border security fence at a second ranch location in early July and later throughout the year in TX, CA and NM as more resources are marshaled. Two fencing companies that hire legally have been retained to run the jobs sites and coordinate volunteer construction crews as Minutemen volunteers are scheduled to provide labor and security. Crews of four to ten volunteers under the guidance of professional fence installers can install as much as 3 miles of fence in a week.

The nay-sayers are wrong. The reality is the Minutemen are here to stay, and this mission will be completed. In April of 2005, over 800 volunteer men and women took action to secure the border. This year there are more than 200,000 Minuteman Civil Defense Corps activists not only guarding the border but building fence, faxing our elected representatives, making phone calls, voting open border politicians out of office, starting local chapters and contributing their time, money and expertise. MCDC is an explosive grassroots effort enjoying the energetic support of political Democrats, Republicans and Independents—all American patriots who have earned the trust of the public by keeping our word to remain vigilant until our borders are secure.

The fencing will be built on private land with privately donated funds, engineering and labor. Its construction at every step will serve as an example to educate the public about the feasibility and efficacy of fencing to secure America’s borders from illegal invasion by aliens and international criminal cartels. An IRS-authorized charitable non-profit organization is facilitating, administering and reporting tax-deductible donations specifically and solely for construction of this Minuteman Border Fence project. Monetary and in-kind contributions for this effort will go directly into meeting hard costs such as building materials for this private fencing operation.

We have a monumental challenge ahead to raise $55 million. We urgently need your help for this effort to succeed. With your help MCDC can make America more secure by continuing to urge citizen volunteers to support the Minuteman Border Fence.

Be sure to send this to EVERYONE you know who wants to help STOP illegal aliens at the border! Thank you!

Anniversary of the bombing of the Khobar Towers

Filed under: General , History @ 12:21 pm

The tragic loss of 19 American lives and injuries to 500 or so people in addition, are what we suffered in 1996 at the hands of Hezbollah and Iran. According to the 9/11 Panel, Al Qaeda and Bin Laden worked in cooperation with Hezbollah to do this despicable act of terror against our guys who were in their dorm at the time.

What I find interesting in looking back at this incident; is how Hezbollah and its Iranian sponsors were directly linked to Bin Laden in this horrific event.

The reason that it’s interesting is because historically, the Sunnis and Shiites have been at odds. We are being told today and some of us have observed a civil war in Iraq between the Sunnis and Shiites, yet, Al Qaeda appears to have worked a successful operational alliance between Sunni and Shiite Muslim groups in the past. But in the case of the Khobar bombing, they put their differences aside in 1996 in order to bomb the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia.

When there are clear examples of the Sunnis and Shiites working together to destroy American interests and kill the infidel, it certainly becomes less of a stretch to consider Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein buddying up to achieve similar goals.

The crazy Ahmadinijad, with his promise of nuclear destruction, and the fact that Iran had supported Hezbollah in the Khobar bombings-should serve as a reminder as to what we’re facing outside of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict, and should bring the war on terror into much clearer focus for every one of us.

This is not going to go away no matter how many peace songs and peace rallies the leftist nuts conduct. The war on terror is going to be a LONG and BLOODY campaign; the only choice we have is to fight….or acquiesce, appease and surrender.

Fourteen guys were indicted in 2001 for this bombing. None have been charged or tried. Justice for those who died 10 years ago today has never been served.

Louis Freeh, looked back at the Khobar bombing in a piece at WSJ a few days ago, chronicling his involvement in trying to go after the people involved in the bombing and recalling, among other things, Clinton’s obstructionist tactics with the FBI. This is no surprise; that ‘wall’ between agencies is now something that Clinton administration is famous for; and it rendered our intelligence agencies less effective and less able to secure our safety; which is the entire reason for their existence to begin with. I see so many examples of how the Clinton administration destroyed our intelligence efforts as direct precursors to what happened only 6 months into Bush’s new administration on 9/11/2001.

And where are the human rights organizations on this? Predictably, on the side of the perpetrators, of course, complaining about torture, being held without being charged, you know the drill. An eerily familiar Guantanomo Bay terrorist ‘human rights violation’ complaint redux.

Don't Go Into The Light linked with Ten years ago, I lost a friend.

Al Qaeda’s propaganda blitz, journalists and democrats cheer

Cox & Forkum

Do you remember the announcement he put out at the anniversary of 9/11 in 2004?

“The American defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan has become just a question of time, God willing,” said Zawahiri.

“In the two countries, the Americans are between two fires: if they remain there they will bleed to death, and if they withdraw they will have lost everything.”

Give me a break. IF WE STAY AND STEEL OUR RESOLVE WE WILL WIN. With every murder like those of Menchaca and Tucker, they are helping us steel our resolve and helping us realize exactly what kind of enemy it is we’re facing. With the loony left and journalists using their deaths as political fodder, we’re also realizing the enemy within.

The morale of the troops is high; that’s why they redeploy and go BACK after they come home. The guys who’ve faced the enemy up close and personal have a definite idea of the danger we’re facing and it’s not simply a ‘war for oil’, or a case of ‘Bush lied men died’. When you’re facing an enemy who wants to kill you down to your infant sons and daughters–just for being you–not for something you said, not for taking a political view–but simply because you were born American in a free country that is not ruled by sharia law–there is a definite problem.

Some think of this as the beginning of WWIII.

Zawahiri and his band of jackals are spreading more propaganda, and journalists and politicians are helping them.

Here are some observations about journalists and politicans helping them from Michael Reagan:

How many relatives, for example, did NBC News have to canvass before they found a kin of Pfc. Menchaca who would take the occasion of his relative’s murder to express his anti-administration views? NBC’s Today Show found Ken MacKenzie, Menchaca’s uncle, who obligingly told NBC, “Because the U.S. government did not have a plan in place, my nephew has paid for it with his life.” He added that the government should have offered a $100 million reward and offered to exchange mujahideen detainees for the soldiers’ lives. It seized enough money from Saddam Hussein to afford it, he said.

He had nothing to say about the brutes who murdered his nephew, and expressed no anger at them.

The Democrats all but jumped for joy over the sleazy opportunity they saw to exploit the soldiers’ deaths for their political purposes. Listen to Illinois Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin’s comment that the discovery of the two mutilated soldiers’ bodies is a “grim reminder of the price we’re paying for a failed policy in Iraq.”

Like McKenzie, he didn’t bother to direct his anger at the fiends who committed the atrocity.

Nor did he or any of his anti-war Democrat colleagues bother to note that the so-called “failed policy” in Iraq has produced 5 million Iraqi children inoculated since the U.S went into Iraq, or how many schools and hospitals have been built, the 32,000 teachers trained, that 20 million Iraqis now have clean water – all the positive things they or the media studiously ignore.

Now instead of the rage they should feel, these white-flag-waving Democrats are demanding that the U.S. set some sort of timetable for withdrawal, ignoring the fact that such an act would be a signal to the al-Qaeda butchers to be patient and hang in there and wait for the U.S. to cut and run.

Have they no shame?

No, they don’t. They parade their victims in front of us so that we can’t respond to them, although I think Coulter blew a hole in that strategy with her fantastic book “Godless”. Young men who sacrificed their lives for what we’re doing in Iraq have been victimized again by the press; and you can depend on leftists to find a relative (like Gold Star Families for Peace or the Jersey Girls) to blame it on the Bush Administration instead of the people who actually perpetrated the crime and focusing in on what we’re really facing. This makes the case for us to get an army of psyschologists together because it appears to me as though they’re transferring blame, much like people in alcoholic homes do from the alcoholic. This is very sick behavior.

And then you have an interview with an Al Qaeda Cameraman… which is another example of how the journalists are all-too happy to interview terrorists, terrorists’ relatives, and democrats; all belonging to the same hate American crowd.

Associated Press correspondent Kathy Gannon conducted a range of interviews, including one with a cameraman for al-Qaeda, for a rare look at how the terror group makes and distributes its videos.

Oh yes, we want to UNDERSTAND what it is they’re doing, pat them on the back, look at them sympathetically, and in the process, score political points on the backs of soldiers who got their legs blown off, slain tortured mutiliated soldiers and Iraqi civilians.

But mum’s the word on Saddam’s victims, oh no, you can’t talk about “Father Saddam’s” atrocities, just like the pictures of Abu Ghraib are acceptable (because it’s a reflection on the quagmire of Iraq which indicts the Bush administration), but pictures of people jumping out of the towers are not; you can’t exhume the bodies of the family members from the Haditha incident to get forensic evidence that might clear the marines (who haven’t been charged but they’ve been convicted in the media) citing the religious rites of Islam as the deterrent, but apparently in some cases, such as the extensive exhumations of bodies in Saddam’s mass graves, it’s perfectly acceptable.

I don’t see any consistency here. It would seem as though if you could exhume bodies that were buried in mass graves, you most certainly could exhume bodies in Haditha if it’s a matter of life and death…and it certainly is for those marines; they could be facing the death penalty if convicted.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda’s second-in-command vowed vengeance against the United States for the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq killed in a U.S. air strike two weeks ago.

“Yes (George W.) Bush, there isn’t a single person who’ll be killed that we won’t get vengeance for, God willing,” Ayman al-Zawahri said in comments addressed to the U.S. president on a videotape aired by al Jazeera television late on Friday.

“Do you remember, Bush, the mujahid Osama bin Laden’s vow that America will not dream of security until we experience it in Palestine? … So try uselessly to dream of peace,” said Zawahri, bespectacled and wearing a black turban.

God willing (and that’s the Lord our God not Allah [the two are not the same]), there won’t be a single one of our mutilated soldiers, Iraqi or Afghan soldiers or civilians whose deaths won’t be avenged if I have anything to say about it; and I’m certain there are others who feel the same way; particular the boys in the field who’ve seen these things up close and personal.

That little dig about Palestine is curious. Interesting how the Palestinians after getting their piece of land haven’t given up on their jihad. They’re not happy with the little they’ve been given because they don’t think Israel has the right to exist and their goal is to drive the jews into the sea. They will continue their reign of terror until that entire region is packed with Islamists and more christians and jews have died.

Desperate to counter speculation that Al Q has suffered significant losses which they’ll have difficulty recovering from, Al Qaeda has been very busy this past week putting messages out to ease fears within the ranks of the mujahideen and their journalist supporters that Zarqawi’s death will not effect their jihad against the infidels. The video by Ayman al-Zawahri was posted on a jihadi discussion board within the same week as the audiotape by Osama bin Laden and a video by the head of al-Qaida’s branch in Iraq — a volley of messages by the group’s most prominent figures.

This is just a part of al-Qaida’s ongoing propaganda blitz to prove that they’re relevant and it makes me laugh. Time Magazine has been playing along with this blitz since at least February or March, with their ridiculous propagation of disinformation about the civilian ‘murders’ in Haditha. I’d like to know what Time Magazine and others get from Al Qaeda for helping them with their propaganda campaign and attempting to weaken our ability to fight the war on terror. The NYT has done their part to hinder the war on terror with their public expose of the SWIFT program.

Now, I am not a supporter of Karzai because of his releasing terrorists from Pulacharke while assisting the State Department and the DOJ in keeping Jack Idema and Brent Bennett from being released in spite of the Afghan courts declaring them ‘innocent’ in a second trial. But I found this little blurb actually made some sense, although from a politician, you can never tell what he actually means; actions speak louder than words in that world.

Just hours after the latest al Qaeda video and its exhortations were posted on an Islamic web site, Afghan Hamid Karzai fired back in the war of words, blaming al Qaeda deputy al-Zawahri for Afghanistan’s massive suffering before and after the Sept. 11 attacks.

“He is first the enemy of the Afghan people, and then the enemy of the rest of the world,” said Karzai. “He killed Afghans for years - thousands - and then he went to America and destroyed the twin towers… We in Afghanistan want him arrested and put before justice.”

Karzai went on to urge the international community to reassess its approach to the war on terror Thursday, saying the deaths of hundreds of Afghans in fighting with U.S.-led forces was “not acceptable.”

A clearly frustrated Karzai said the approach being taken by coalition forces to hunt down militants does not focus on the roots of terrorism itself.

“I strongly believe … that we must engage strategically in disarming terrorism by stopping their sources of supply of money, training, equipment and motivation,” said Karzai.

And how would you stop the sources of supply of money, training, equipment and motivation? One might be…oh…the SWIFT program, which the NYT exposed in spite of US Government warnings as to the risk.

Where is the outrage?

Thanks to Stop the ACLU

Reposted from Freedom’s Zone Fox N Friends morning host E.D. Hill rips into the leftists for caterwauling for a ‘cut n run’ from Iraq while they say absolutely nothing about the brutal torture these young men must have endured- and the frightening condition these soldiers’ bodies were found in, drawing attention to one of the rarely talked about rules of engagement and rules of warfare: the Geneva Conventions and how this is one of the reasons why terrorists don’t qualify.

See the end of this post to see a description of their condition in writing.

I’m seeing a reversal at least in the blogosphere in terms of what I’m sure the terrorists thought was going to happen when they did this to our men in uniform.

It’s like the beheading videos. It didn’t make us want to quit; it is steeling our resolve.

Haditha incident and the mysterious videographer

WHO IS Abdul Rahman al-Mashhadani of Hammurabi Human Rights and Democracy Monitoring??? Nobody knows, but this is a picture of his hands.

DB at Sweetness and Light has an article from Reuters which raises more questions.

Hammurabi seems to have a problem with just coming out and telling the truth; first, they said that Thaer Thabit al-Hadithi, a ‘budding journalism student’, took the video. All kinds of questions came up as a result, because this middle-aged guy is obviously no ‘budding journalism student’…so then they started calling him something else.

The person who actually IS a budding journalism student is the mysterious guy with the hands above.

Mashhadani said Hadithi was taking courses in journalism and was not one of the group’s two founders.

If this version of the ever changing story is true, it makes Thaer Thabit al-Hadithi out to be a liar, as he has clearly told reporters he was the original founder of Hammurabi, as was reported in many articles.

Hadithi, based in his native Haditha in Anbar province, was one of six board members, Mashhadani said, adding that the group had 10 other administrative staff in 14 local offices.

We have been told that Hadithi now lives in Baghdad and was only visiting Haditha for a religious holiday at the time of the incident.

And who is paying for all of this, or do visiting lecturers on economics make a lot of money?

“I live in a hot spot where the Americans always look for insurgents. They searched my house 16 times,” said Mashhadani. “I tried to stop them but they threatened to stamp on my head.”

So does Mashhadani live in Haditha? It has been usually reported he lives in Baghdad. And doesn’t this remark betray a possible ulterior motive? An anti-US bias seemingly shared by the doctor, the lawyer and many of the other witnesses to the alleged massacre?

Mashhadani said he first thought of forming a human rights group when, during a visit to Jordan….

Which increases the possibility that he is the same Mashhadani who taught at the Philadelphia University in Jordan. And who had been an administrator for the Al Rasheed Bank in Baghdad, which is a state run bank, up until Saddam was overthrown.

And who was it who made the video? Mashhadani never got around to actually answering that.

Now I’m just thinking out loud here, but…could it be possible that Mansour Sulayman Mansour Khalifi Al Mashhadani aka Sheikh Mansur, key Al-Qaeda in Iraq Senior Leader-–who was killed by Coalition Forces, south of Yusifiyah on June 16th–is somehow related or connected to this Mashhadani who had something to do with the release and possibly the creation of the Haditha video- and that’s why Hammarubi is not releasing any pictures of him and resisting questions about him? Al Mashhadani was one of the five leading members of the Al Qaida organization and was also Al Qaida’s spiritual leader and a close associate of Al Zarqawi and Abu Ayyub Al-Masri (also killed in the above mentioned strike). Sheikh Mansur aka Mashhadani was an Iraqi, approximately 35-37 years old, who received religious training in Jordan in the 1990s. Mashhadani was captured by Multi-National Forces in July 2004, and wor
