Stop the ACLU Blogburst

Filed under: ACLU , General @ 5:54 am

Crossposted from Stop The ACLU

Its that time of the year again. The time when the intolerant grinches like the ACLU start trying to fill their stockings with your tax dollars in their attempts to secularize Christmas. The ACLU try their best to deny their attacks on Christmas. They call those defending Christmas the well organized extremists out to make a buck in the guise of defending Christmas. This is of course false. The Alliance Defense Fund, just like last year, are offering their services to defend Christmas completely FREE!

However, the lies continue again this year as the ACLU denies their attacks on Christmas. However, their actions speak louder than their words.

Already the ACLU have began their attacks. They have already been successful in bullying the Berkley City Council into moving their Christmas nativity scene off public property. This, despite the fact that the display also included other religious and secular elements including a Star of David, Christmas trees, a Santa Claus figure, a Santa’s Mailbox, and a “Seasons Greetings” sign.

In their latest attempt to censor Christmas they have sued the Wilson County School System outside of Nashville, TN. because their Christmas program includes “Christian themes and songs.”

The plaintiffs and the ACLU allege that several kindergarten students role-played a nativity scene of the birth of Jesus—and had the audacity to sing “Away in the Manger” and “Joy to the World.” According to the ACLU, these songs are exclusively Christian in nature because they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and are, therefore, inappropriate.

The ACLJ is defending the school in this case.

The ADF has a long list of attacks on Christmas from the ACLU and its allies dating back from 2002 to the present.

Yes, its that time of the year again. The season that I get bombarded with emails encouraging people to waste their money on a stamp for a Christmas card wishing the ACLU a merry Christmas. Don’t get me wrong. I understand the sentitment behind the whole thing. I was all on board last year. If you really want them to have a Merry Christmas, or just feel like throwing your money away I won’t discourage it. It will be about as effective as barking at the moon. Your Christmas cheer will be tossed in the mail room shredder and never reach any those you intended to send a message to.

I propose that your money could be spent in a much more efficient manner. Save the money you would throw away on the stamp for a message destined to fall on deaf ears. There are many organizations out there fighting to protect Christmas and the expression of its true meaning. Why not take the money you would be throwing away on a noble yet ineffective gesture, and put it to real use as a gift to the organization of your choice that is out there fighting the ACLU?

No Vietcong Followed us Home

Filed under: General , Leftist Agenda , Terrorism and Islam @ 2:32 am

Al Qaeda will. That was published at the American Thinker on November 2, and it is well worth the read. Dan Gordon reviews the hyperbole and rhetoric behind the leftist complaints about the conflict in Iraq and their cries for withdrawal. He’s right; it makes no difference whose fault it is; it makes no difference who lied, or if there is or was no WMD, the bottom line is, the Islamofascists want to kill us because we’re the infidel. It is our choice; fight for our way of life or submit to Islam. Unlike the Vietcong, they WILL follow us home; they’ve already paid us a visit. They’ve already had their Pearl Harbor. And by the way, we are fighting the choice of Islam or die in the courts, on the streets, in classrooms on University Campuses and in other places. This is a culture war, and by God, I’m not going to sit still and wait for them to reinstitute the Caliphate and do nothing or support the politically correct movement that will support their turning me into a dhimmi under sharia law.

If you’re looking for pieces on Jack Idema and his team, please click on this link.

Regular readers of the Free Jack Idema Blogburst will recall the events last month which resulted in Brent Bennett’s forcible removal from Afghanistan. As Brent was being dragged out of the country in handcuffs, Jack Idema was involved in a tense standoff with the fifty-or-so Karzai goons who were trying to move him to a prison away from his (relatively) secure quarters at Pulacharke.

Although Northern Alliance Generals eventually resolved that situation by forcing Karzai’s troops to stand down, the number of pro-Taliban, non- Northern Alliance guards working at Pulacharke Prison has been increasing steadily for some time.

This week (though apparently only reported by Cao’s Blog and in the Gulf Times) the results of this policy became clear:

KABUL: Three men held at Afghanistan’s main prison on terrorism charges walked out of the high-security facility by pretending to be visitors, while another inmate was found dead, officials said Thursday.
The men who escaped from Pul-i-Charki prison on the outskirts of Kabul on Wednesday were facing sentences ranging from death to 15 years in jail after being convicted of terror offences, officials said on condition of anonymity.
They did not say if the three were linked to the Al Qaeda or Taliban extremist groups active in Afghanistan or give details of the charges.
The interior ministry refused to comment, saying it was trying to collect details.

Now, Pulacharke is Afghanistan’s most secure prison. Aside from one illegally-imprisoned U.S. Special Forces soldier, it also houses some of the most brutal and dangerous terrorists captured during the WoT. And yet four such men (the very least of them jailed for fifteen years) simply walked out Pulacharke? Is this really credible? Or is it worth wondering if the presence of large numbers of Taliban-supporting guards at the prison was the real reason behind the ease of the terrorists’ escape?

If so, then this is a very worrying development in terms of the Jack Idema story. After all, if the security situation at Pulacharke is now so weighted in favour of pro-Taliban elements that four of the world’s most dangerous terrorists can simply stroll out of custody — If this is the case, then how will Jack fair when the next carefully-orchestrated al-Qaeda ‘riot’ occurs? In the past, he’s been able to count on the support of Northern Alliance guards. How will his new, pro-Taliban jailors react to a terrorist attempt on Jack’s life? By fighting to protect him? On the strength of this week’s events, that hardly seems likely, does it?

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There’s also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack’s story.

the Fairtax Blogburst

Filed under: Fairtax , General @ 5:18 am

by Jonathan of Publius Rendezvous

Now that the aftermath of the elections have subsided, I want to follow-up on what TD said in the FTBB a couple of weeks ago about grassroots campaigning. As we have mentioned on countless occasions, whether you are a Republican or Democrat or Libertarian, the FairTax is for you.

I, myself did not heed my own advice for I grew disconcerted immediately after the election for the FairTax’s prospects. Me, being an individual that leans right of center in virtually every facet of my life thought the Democrat Party would not be the party to implement the FairTax.

But, the more I have come to think of it the more I grow somewhat optimistic. Why? Well, the Democrat Party has promised to reform government in many ways, and one in particular is ethics reform and reducing/eliminating earmarks. This is where our grassroots campaign must be decisive. We must remain vigilant to stay one step ahead of societal evolution in bring in the nation our message. The FairTax fits this agenda. It will and is designed to work to disrupt and eliminate the albatross that is our current system.

People around this country can and are already beginning to realize this phenomenon. Take Mr. Stephen Sanders of Fayetteville, NC:

Congressional scandals were a part of the changes in the last election. Many citizens cast their votes out of disgust at the influence-peddling of some congressional representatives and their highly paid lobbyist friends.

Quite often, this influence-peddling involves special tax considerations for those who hire the lobbyists. The lobbyists make large salaries by persuading members of Congress to tweak the tax code in favor of the lobbyists’ clients. This is where loopholes, tax incentives, tax exemptions and tax exclusions come from. It is a large part of why the U.S. tax code is so complex and convoluted. It is also why we desperately need the Fair Tax.

The Fair Tax is very aptly named because it is, unlike the current income tax, fair. The Fair Tax replaces the income tax with a national retail sales tax. Under the Fair Tax, there are no exemptions, no loopholes and no special consideration for the privileged few. There is no convoluted tax code that even Internal Revenue Service experts cannot figure out. And because the Fair Tax treats everyone the same without exceptions, exemptions, and loopholes, there is less influence-peddling.

Chicago living up to its leftist ideals

Filed under: Faith in God , General , Leftist Agenda @ 6:02 am

ckm 2006.jpg

Christkindlmarket Chicago is a German festival akin to Oktoberfest. During the Christmas season it hosts over a million people during its four week duration, and it features the Chicago Christmas tree. The City of Chicago is living up to its leftist leanings by withdrawing its support of the festival because of the Nativity Story movie’s sponsorship of the event.

Ridiculous. New Line Cinema’s response to the ban from NRO:

We were stunned that our paid sponsorship of Christkindlmarket Chicago - the largest Christmas celebration in Chicago - was rescinded based on the “religious” content of our film The Nativity Story.

We had committed to a $12,000 sponsorship for the market, which was to include a display area in the Festival tent, logo signage in all print ads, direct mailings, brochures, flyers and on the website.

We don’t understand why our sponsorship would be rejected for religious reasons, particularly considering the fact that our film details the story that inspired the holiday season that the Christkindlmarket was created to celebrate.

Well get with the program, people, this is Leftist Democrat Chicago that doesn’t recognize a Christian’s right to be one or act like one in public! Just like the Islamists they love to depict as victims of discrimination for being ‘profiled’ on airplanes and other places! Nevermind that all 11 hijackers on 9/11 had names like Ahmed and Mohammed.

Here’s the trailer for the movie, as far as I can tell, the City of Chicago’s attempt at silencing the story could backfire because controversy=cash, and any publicity is good publicity.

Thanks to Jay at Stop the ACLU for the tip.

And…the Swamp Hare

Let’s have a politically correct Christmas

Filed under: General , Terrorism and Islam @ 5:45 am

Paul Jeeves at the Daily Express “Fury over Halal Christmas Dinner”:

Halal butchers kill animals in the halal way in accordance with Islamic law; a single cut to the throat.

The practice has been criticised as inhumane by The Farm Animal Welfare Council which has called for it to be banned.

And shouldn’t PETA in America be objecting to this practice, also? That is part of what is raising the ire of Brits regarding what took place a few days ago at the Oakwood School in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

PARENTS expressed outrage last night over a school’s plans to serve pupils a Muslim Christmas dinner.

The headteacher announced that she intended to replace the children’s traditional turkey meal with halal chicken.

She explained that eating poultry which had been slaughtered in the Muslim way would create an “integrated Christmas”.

But furious parents accused the school of undermining the Christian faith.

They were backed by Labour MP Denis MacShane who demanded to know why the children were not being offered a choice.

I would venture to say they weren’t being offered a choice because Islamists believe the infidel should do as they do and live as dhimmis under Islamic law regardless as to what their western sensitivities are. They want to replace the western way of life and build a bridge back to the 7th century. And we’re seeing examples of this kind of thing in places where we’d least expect it.

With thanks to Robert Spencer for the post at Dhimmi Watch.

German skulls

Filed under: General , Terrorism and Islam @ 5:21 am

germanskulls2.jpg

This was brought to my attention by Jack Idema the other day when we did his Rogue Radio Live show. I had no idea that this even happened. Der Spiegel and others have talked about members of the Bundeswehr who posed for a photo op with the bleached skulls of undetermined origin.

The outrage of the ‘desecration’ of the bones and skulls from what some reports say were mass graves seems to be somewhat ridiculous to me, because nobody seems to know precisely who the skeletons were when they were alive. They could have been dead Taleban from the 2001-2002 war, they could have been dead Afghans from the war with the soviets, or even soviets themselves. But of course, if they’re dead Taleban, the Taleban wants the worst punishment on the Germans for ‘desecrating the graves of the mujahideen’.

Germany reacted by claiming that this behavior from men in a war zone is unacceptable, and at least two of the soldiers have been suspended.

From the terrorists’ mouthpiece, the New York Times:

The photos of German soldiers posing with skulls in Afghanistan have endangered the mission of an army deployed to win the “hearts and minds” of Afghans. The government has promised tough disciplinary actions.

Oh, gee, it’s horrible that the German SF would dare do such a thing when it turns out it wasn’t a mass grave, it was a field that they stumbled upon, littered with bones.

German State Secretary of Defense Christian Schmidt was practically gushing with praise for Germany’s troops, calling them “citizens in uniform” with strong characters and rock-solid ethics. Schmidt, a member of the conservative Christian Social Union (CSU), even ventured to characterize the Bundeswehr’s soldiers as “well-balanced individuals.”

That, at least, was the theory.

Schmidt’s statement was released to the press last Wednesday. On the same day, the German public got a taste of a completely different reality when images were published showing German soldiers who had placed a skull onto the hood of a Mercedes “Wolf” all-terrain truck as a sort of war trophy, a soldier pressing his naked genitalia against a skull and soldiers using the remnants of skulls as decorations, all the while smiling for the camera.

The scandalous photos from Afghanistan, published by the tabloid Bild and distributed worldwide last week, have plunged the Bundeswehr into its biggest crisis in years. They fly in the face of a concept under which German soldiers are meant to serve as ambassadors of democracy, and under which they are meant to seek acceptance in crisis regions like Afghanistan and Lebanon, a strategy intended to boost their own security. Only if it manages to win the “hearts and minds” of the local population, says Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung, of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), can the German military prevail over the enemy in such countries.

Oh my, they’re faced with an undeniable fact that leftists want to completely avoid when we’re supposed to be at war with an enemy determined to kill us:

death and the military are all-too-often closely intertwined.

Well that’s according to leftists, I thought the military was supposed to kill the enemy. But I guess that’s not true when you’re part of the NATO “peacekeeping force”, that’s why their asses are literally getting kicked to here and back in southern Afghanistan where the Taleban is winning, and Nato has announced they need help-to the point where they’ve called upon the ‘warlords’ that the media has villified for not giving up their weapons.

You’re stupid if you give up weapons when a war is not won, you’re stupid to think that ‘peacekeeping forces’ can win over crazed Islamofascist head hackers that want to saw your head off for being an infidel.

Naturally the terrorists’ mouthpiece the NYT won’t miss the opportunity to take a swipe at the American barbarians when discussing the German photo op with skulls from a bone-strewn field:

We have always known that the emotional effects of war are devastating on those involved, and German troops are no exception. And yet compared to the excesses of American GIs, the Bundeswehr’s behavior is almost innocent.

I’ve published some of the photographs I’ve managed to dig up because I’m not ‘politically correct’, and I’m not going to bow down to the dhimmis in the media or anywhere else, that are already behaving as though they live in an Islamic State.

Which brings me to Michelle Malkin’s observation about the story in Iraq of the Sunni’s who died a horrible death after having been doused by gasoline. Apparently Centcomm has an entire list of news reports that are being investigated because they’re suspected to contain pure propaganda.

I’d like to know why are the Gods of political correctness objecting to this at all? Don’t they have better things to do? Guess not, a 25-year-old junior staff officer and a member of a mountain division based in the southern German town of Mittenwald were already suspended, and the ‘investigation’ has expanded to 20 or so men beyond that.

They’re accused of the crime of “disturbing the dead”, and are almost guaranteed to lose their jobs, their ranks and their military pensions.

Heh. So many times these kinds of things remind me of how the Islamists don’t blink an eye when ‘disturbing the dead’, neither are they condemned for it or pursued and prosecuted. It brings me back to the horrible images of Menchaca and Tucker. It’s not an even playing field; the Islamists take films of themselves committing horrible deeds, and nobody is allowed to do anything in response; even fight back. In the case of Afghanistan, Taleban and Al Q fighters are just walking out of the doors of Pulacharke so they can commit another dirty deed.

The outrage in this incident seems to me to be unbalanced and unfair, and these guys shouldn’t have to pay a price for that…otherwise we in America shouldn’t have mummies on display in museums. The New York Times also mentions toward the end of that article that the military are “dumb” and that the Bundeswehr is having difficulty with the level of education within their ranks, etc. Same old crap as John Kerry says about our troops; anyone who’s over there is ’stuck’ because they didn’t study or get an education. Ridiculous.

The level of education among soldiers has declined considerably, says military commissioner Robbe. Indeed, during a visit to one of the Bundeswehr’s recruitment offices, the military commissioner was able to witness the lack of adequate education within the military profession firsthand. “One of the junior officers,” says Robbe, “couldn’t even tell me the names of the defense minister or the chancellor.”

Well take a microphone and go down Fifth Avenue in New York or Michigan Avenue in Chicago and ask people some basic questions about current events. Most people don’t have a clue, and that’s not exclusively a German problem.

Kerry’s 180

Filed under: General , Jean Francois Kerrie @ 2:06 am

Here we are again, and I have a special treat for you.

October 29, 2004
The Editor, Wall Street Journal

Dear Sir/Madame:

I hope you will print this letter about my classmate, John Kerry. Thank you.

As a graduate of the Yale class of 1966, I resent the self-serving lies and misrepresentations advanced by my classmate John Kerry. Herewith, a few corrections:

John Kerry has been using the Pershing name to dramatize his Vietnam experience, claiming to have been a close friend of Richard Pershing, the grandson of General (Black Jack) Pershing. Richard Pershing was a member of the Yale class of 1966, and he was killed in Vietnam shortly after we graduated. However, Kerry’s constant references to his ‘dearest’ friend are exaggerated and exploitative. In fact, Dick Pershing and I roomed together for all 4 years at Yale. I don’t remember John Kerry ever being in our room or even being a particular favorite of Dick’s.

In this regard, it is particularly revealing that a recent biography of General Pershing, Until The Last Trumpet Sounds (by Gene Smith), includes an entire chapter on Dick, primarily on his years at Yale; the name John Kerry does not appear. The Pershing Family did know Kerry, but they disliked him intensely. This antipathy stemmed primarily f rom an incident at the Pershing home on Park Avenue not long after Dick’s death: at a gathering of friends and family, Kerry worked the room with his anti-Vietnam message, incurring the undying enmity of Mr. and Mrs. Pershing and Dick’s older brother Jack, a Green Beret. The family was shocked and insulted by Kerry’s insensitivity. Kerry has implied - as recently as the first Presidential debate - that he became disillusioned about Vietnam by his military experience.

However, as early as 1965, in his junior year at Yale, he was giving anti-war speeches; and his Class Day Oration in 1966 - prior to graduation - criticized American involvement in Vietnam. These sentiments clearly antedated his Vietnam experience. So why did he join the Navy? He told some classmates that it would help his career. The above pattern suggests a callous and opportunistic personality - hardly what I would call Presidential.

another Pulacharke siege?

Filed under: General , Task Force Sabre 7 @ 5:52 am

The excitement at Pulacharke never seems to end. A few days ago, four top Al Qaeda terrorists escaped from Pulacharke. Karzai then imprisoned the anti-Al Qaeda Northern Alliance or UFMF colonels at the prison (which makes no sense). For a few days pro Taleban guards were in place, and it was during that time and the other guys were ‘off’ to be with their families, that the Al Qaeda terrorists escaped. So when the UFMF guards came back to their posts, they were suddenly faced with arrest, while the pro-Taleban guards had left some time after the Al Qaeda terrorists had escaped. Sounds suspicious to me; particularly because the terrorists came from the American side - the Gitmo side of the prison.

So now we have an interesting scenario pulling into view. This reminds me of a farmer looking into the sky and telling you that rain is coming. The terrorists are planning to riot and take control over Pulacharke; and at least one of the Taleban terrorists, who is a friend of Jack, has refused to join them in their plan and has made himself a target.

While Nato is getting their butts kicked in the south and calling for Massoud’s UFMF (aka Northern Alliance, the media refer to them as ‘warlords’) to come and help them, if you want to listen to what’s really happening in Afghanistan, rather than rely upon the news reports from journalists who don’t really have a clue, listen to Rogue Radio Live. But beware of the strong language.

I will be on Rogue Radio Live with Jack on today’s Rogue Radio Live show.

There’s been a gradually changing scenario at Pulacharke, I could see this coming after the Brent Bennett story came out some time ago. Jack has predicted all of this, including the bloodbath in the south when Nato forces took over. Even Nato is listening to Rogue Radio Live.

Russian spy dies of radioactive poisoning

Filed under: General , News @ 3:17 pm

This is a really weird story which I’ve been reading about in different accounts across the net. I’m really trying to understand what happened here, because the latest revelation in the story is that this man converted to Islam before he died. Alexander Litvinenko, a former KGB agent who’s been living in London, passed away Friday after having been poisoned three weeks ago.

In his last letter, addressing Putin, he said,

“You can silence one person easily, but the protests all around the world will always reverberate throughout your life”

Putin, of course, vehemently denies any involvement in his death. We have a lot of ground for speculation on this one. Litvinenko was a critic of Putin, sought sanctuary in Britain 2000, and had heard he was on a Russian hit list and had been looking into the murder of Russian investigative reported Anna Polit-kovskaya, another critic of Putin who recently met her untimely demise. It’s also been pointed out that they’re jailing bloggers in Russia. So here we have another example of a leftist country that doesn’t allow dissent, and actually makes certain that dissenters, even when they live in other countries, are eliminated.

LONDON, England (CNN) — Police in Britain are studying security camera footage after finding radioactive traces at three London locations visited by a former Russian spy who accused Vladimir Putin of his murder in a deathbed statement.

Anti-terrorism officers were also on Saturday investigating how alpha radiation from polonium-210 came to be in Alexander Litvinenko’s urine.

Traces of the material have been found at places where he ate and met other spies just before falling ill, British authorities said.

What is strange about this is that polonium-210 is a very rare radioactive isotope, made only in a nuclear reactor. Traces of polonium-210 were found in his hotel room and a couple of restaurants where he met with people including the KGB. The mere handling of this dangerous substance indicates not only a sophisticated group, but a powerful state involvement in his death.
