It is unfortunate that certain individual members of IVAW have chosen to make threatening statements on the internet. These statements were made by individuals and are not representative of IVAW. While many were in fact likely spurred by anger threats made by Gathering of Eagles members, among other pro-war individuals (though I do not currently have time to list them, I am aware of the request made by a pro-war blogger and will in fact update this post with specifics by COB tomorrow), that only explains but does not excuse the conduct. We still hold all of our members to a high standard.

We anxiously await this list of threats made by GOE members. And as for the ‘high standard’, that remains to be seen, doesn’t it? The track record thus far isn’t good.

In my opinion, both of these nuts belong in strait jackets in a peaceful setting looking out onto a beautiful garden surrounded by nurses with plenty of medication at their disposal–so that Dewald the ‘body builder’, boxer and awesome viking and the obsessed-with-torture-Knappenberger can’t hurt anyone.

I suppose Jamail’s job at the Winter Soldier II “Investigation” will be to confirm the war crimes that frauds that haven’t been ‘outted’ will be claiming.

Our fact checkers have fallen down on the job, as I think Dahr Jamail has not been covered very much from the conservative ‘right’ point of view…while Alternet and others have lauded his ‘independent journalist’ status because he props the terrorist propaganda.

I’ve read many stories and articles from Iraq by “independent” reporter Dahr Jamail. For some reason, he’s flown under the radar on the right while leading the charge against American Imperialist Occupiers for the left. Don’t believe me - google “war crimes” and “american military in Iraq”. Most of the items will either have a Dahr Jamail byline or have a statement from him in the story or will have a trail of crumbs leading back to this rat’s lair.

Take for instance the Fallujah White Phosphorus debunked claims - this was the “journalist” that beat the hell outta that dead horse and continues to do so. In fact, Jamail drove the damn bus on the Fallujah massacre claims - and not one single tinfoil hat wearing minion questioned his claims. If a bomb went off in Iraq and civilians were killed, you could count on a dispatch from Dahr Jamail pointing out America’s complicity in the act.

Also, take the amazing fact that Dahr Jamail was propping the infamous fraud, Jesse Macbeth.

Those two things stink to high heaven, but that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Interesting enough, Denis Koehane’s work has certainly changed the rhetoric coming out of Iraq Veterans Against the War on this.

IVAW - Iraq Veterans Against War plan on revisiting past shame by taking a page from the 1971 VVAW Winter Soldier Investigation (WSI). The IVAW is holding its own Winter Soldier Investigation this month at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, MD.

The unverified allegations by the original Winter Soldier Investigation were made famous by John Kerry’s congressional testimony where he characterized American soldiers as “razing villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan”. Unproven statements from the membership of the VVAW and John Kerry managed to smear the reputation of an entire generation of honorable soldiers. Decades later, Vietnam Veterans are still reeling from the aggregious mischaracterization purpetrated by the VVAW.

The Iraq veterans Against War (Formed under Veterans For Peace) are attempting to do the same to this generation of men and women serving in our military. Select IVAW members are scheduled to make statements, and will do so without swearing an oath or signing legally binding depositions, affidavits or official reports. In essence, the IVAW are denying these individuals the basic right of American citizens to due process.

The Gathering of Eagles is spearheading a campaign to counter the forthcoming IVAW Winter Soldier Investigation. This video is a compliation of GOE supporters from across the nation speaking out against this upcoming travesty of truth. This new generation of winter soldier’s will NOT have the opportunity to smear our troops with impunity. They will be held accountable for their statements.

Isn’t it about time Knappenberger was stopped?

This is where the ideology of guys like Knappenberger converge with anarcho socialist domestic terrorists who proclaim their love for the bomber on the bike that set off a small explosion at the military recruiting office in Time Square.

Well, at least the true colors of the ‘peace movement’ are showing…although I’m sure it’s embarrassing for those who’ve been giving airplay to that meaningless ‘nonviolent civil disobedience’ schtick.

I was hoping to find a picture of this Jennifer Spranger, the ’secretary’ who is no more at IVAW Milwaukee….who claimed she poisoned detainees (and didn’t care).

Both DeWald and Spranger no longer have visible positions on the IVAW Milwauikee’s website, due - I guess - to the fact that they are unhinged moonbats who can’t seem to even PRETEND that they’re decent human beings. I saved the shot of IVAW’s website with their names on them because as usual, we’re experiencing some scrubbing of the web with regard to pictures of Dewald and references to both of them. They don’t want you to be able to reconstruct what happened, and instead prefer to revise history - which is typical of holocaust deniers.

These people oppose war but are obsessed with self loathing and violence (like bombing the GOE gathering coming up), and can’t seem to resist threatening to punch out people who don’t agree with them.

They are in dire need of mental help.

This was designed by Iraq Veterans Against the War member (no longer president of the Milwaukee chapter), Jonathan Dewald, someone who never served in OIF or OEF. Can you say IRONIC? Although he’s a 10-year army veteran, “Iraq Veterans Against the War” seems desperate for someone - anyone - with a military background OF SOME KIND.

Just the name “Iraq Veterans Against the War” would indicate to a normal person that it’s an organization of veterans who served in Iraq…But now it looks like there is some other criteria for membership - like you must be an anarcho socialist and be able to rattle off all the talking points of the International Workers World.

By contrast, the Gathering of Eagles doesn’t have a term referring to military or veterans in its name.

Now Veterans for Freedom does…and those guys have resumes….whereas the Iraq Veterans against The War appears to be a desperate collection of anarchosocialist losers and military rejects who couldn’t make the grade…if they were ever in Iraq or in theater in some capacity, they appear to have stories to tell like Scott Beauchamp’s.
