a tale of two brains

Filed under: bwahahahaha! @ 7:40 pm

From my dad. I think he’s trying to tell me something…but being that I’m a girl, it’s hard to tell…

oh no. I’m addicted to Thus Spake Ortner.

Filed under: General @ 7:35 pm

Because he posts funny stuff over there…and Nicki posts pix of deliciously delectable eye candy for the ladies.

And those are important things, considering how I’ve been obsessed with news about the upcoming Winter Soldier event and found myself in shock and awe over the recent IVAW’s members’ visible internet meltdowns involving terms like-assassination- and threats to blow people up…in addition to other horrible things happening in the world...

Of course, the Army Sergeant’s turning this into a ‘let’s feel sorry for the poor soldier’ pity party excuses their vicious unhinged antisocial behavior, which doesn’t sit right with me. Turning this into a political statement about soldiers as victims of WAR-and PTSD like Dewald who was never in combat-just ain’t right.

It’s called ’sleight of hand’.

I’m still waiting for that list of threats from GOE members.

Update on missing Crescent Security contractors

Authorities receive severed fingers of hostages taken in Iraq

BAGHDAD - U.S. authorities in Baghdad have received five severed fingers belonging to four Americans and an Austrian who were taken hostage more than a year ago in Iraq, U.S. officials said Wednesday.

The FBI is investigating the grisly development, and the families of the five kidnapped contractors have been notified, American officials said on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the case publicly.

Authorities confirmed that the fingers belonged to hostages Jonathan Cote, of Gainesville, Fla.; Joshua Munns, of Redding, Calif.; Paul Johnson Reuben, of Buffalo, Minn.; Bert Nussbaumer of Vienna, Austria; and Ronald J. Withrow, an American who was kidnapped separately from the others.

Keep their families in your prayers.

Previous here, here, here, here, here, here.

Further update:

Cote, 25, and the others– Paul Reuben, 41, Joshua Munns, 25, and Bert Nussbaumer, 26, are employees of Crescent Security Group, a military contractor providing security to conveys in Iraq and elsewhere through the region. A fifth finger, from computer specialist Ronald Withrow, was also sent. Withrow was abducted in Jan of 2006. Cote’s team leader with Crescent, John Young, was also abducted, but has not been linked to the body parts.

Flight 93 Blogburst: Joementum!

Joementum!

Blogburst logo, no accident

Alec Rawls did a 45 minute interview with Washington D.C talk-radio host Joe Ardinger Saturday night (3-8-08, Segment 3).

“It rips,” says Alec. “We exposed a lot of the terrorist memorializing parts of the Flight 93 Memorial, and went over the clear proofs of intent that architect Paul Murdoch included in the design.”

Joe’s interests: “Ghosts, UFO’s, The Lizard People from The Hollow Earth, Politics, True Crime, Conspiracies, you get the idea…” If he wants outlandish, the truth about the Flight 93 Memorial is tops, which could just make Joe the man for the Job.

Alec knows nothing about the Lizard People, or Joe’s politics, but this issue ought to transcend all domestic divides, and for Joe it certainly does. “Very fun interview,” says Alec: “Joe is a great host, and he says he wants to keep after this.”

That’s excellent. Thank you Joemericans!

(If Joe’s 3-8-08 Segment 3 link ever disappears, there is a backup copy here.)
