A great read at the American Thinker by Andrew Walden.

This is one of the weirdest stories I have ever heard.

I had thought it was Island Lake - where a lot of wackos are - including the city council who has been after the retired marine with the t-shirt that reads “don’t run you’ll only die tired”.

But I was wrong; this weirdo is from another Illinois suburb - Lake in the Hills.

A Lake in the Hills man has been charged in federal court with possession of tetrodotoxin, a poison a thousand times more deadly than cyanide, FBI officials have confirmed.

But they also found a very interesting library of books.

In a search of Bachner’s home, agents found six empty tetrodotoxin vials, needles and syringes, and a book dealing with effective doses for killing people, according to the FBI.

His explanation for posing as a doctor for a fictitious research firm and purchasing the deadly toxin is that he ‘was bored’.

The FBI did not give a motive for why Bachner allegedly purchased the poison under an alias and fake company name.

But an affidavit supporting a search of his home said the Knoxville, Tenn., office of the FBI received a tip on July 25, 2005, from someone who said Bachner was seeking the person’s assistance in a murder.

One message allegedly said he wanted a woman in Chicago killed and would compensate the killer with an AK-47 rifle and $8,000.

Sounds like there’s a lot more to this than a simple case of suburban boredom….

In court Monday, Karner said agents discovered 45 full or partially full vials of TTX during last week’s Lake in the Hills search. Evidence, he said, indicates Bachner had obtained at least 19 more vials, but those were missing.

Also found in the Bachner home, Karner said, was a handgun, more than 50 knives, five garrotes, a phony CIA badge, a precursor to the poison Ricin and books on how to poison people, make gun silencers and hand-to-hand combat.

There it is. 19 missing vials of the toxin, and creepy how-to books on making gun silencers, hand-to-hand combat, a precursor to the poison Ricin and books on how to poison people.

Posing to be a doctor with a research firm, and with a fake CIA badge, one wonders if he might have been using aliases…

While there has been some hysteria over Scott Covington’s fake frenchness as “Mitch” at the Mitch and Nan Show, I have an update on an old nemesis REAL french communist blogger, who calls himself whynot.

Back in the early days of blogging and the beginning of the Wide Awakes; when I first started; whynot and Dianne Maire were blogging from France; real France - not the fake Houston Texas one.

whynot and Dianne were harassing conservative bloggers, calling them fascists and saying neil Hitler and all the usual stuff that you hear out of communists and revolutionary socialists these days about Republicans who support the war effort, or take the pro life side of the abortion argument.

Meatbrain, himself one of those self-loathing white guys who apparently supports Obama and himself a socialist, complained that I don’t know what a socialist/communist IS.

But, like Meatbrain, whynot and Dianne were real pieces of work; and were the real thing; railing against the ‘atrocities’ committed by the American military in Iraq, and complaining that Bush is the real terrorist.

Their personal story was as ridiculous as their political propaganda campaign. Dianne was rescued by a French Businessman - and she went to live in France. Supposedly Dianne was afraid for her life in the U.S. for speaking against the American government, which really became a source of amusement when Cindy Sheehan came out of the woodwork to complain about the terrorist George Bush and camp out in Crawford Texas and got photo ops and book signings and lavish birthday parties thrown for her by Jodie Evans herself.

Meanwhile, whynot’s world started to implode and he’s written about it at the frogblog. First, he was complaining that muslims were setting cars on fire. Well gee, aren’t those the people he was supporting? Then, Dianne left him and apparently moved to Canada, and now…he was arrested by the gendarmes for DUI, lost his job, lost where he was living, and is now complaining about France’s fascist government for arresting him and the problems he brought upon himself.

whynot is a prime example of a clueless communist moonbat (much like the ones protesting in Berkeley) who doesn’t really understand what it is he’s protesting…and who is objecting to the very type of government he has been campaigning to grow bigger.

It’s fun to point out that we have been down this road with fakes frauds and supposed frenchmen before….!

But then it was a real one instead of a pretender.

Kender monitors what’s going on in that loser’s life and lets me know when karma strikes that loser. I don’t mean to be schadenfreude, but…sometimes when one has been on the receiving end of attacks, like it was during the days of Joe Cafasso, when what goes around comes around, it’s with a bittersweet source of satisfaction that we watch them crash and burn.

But what’s sad is…they never come to realize they’re just facing real world real life consequences of their own behavior.
