Sinclair is traveling, and on his flight into Dallas this morning, he met a young man in the US Army. Here’s part of the email Sinclair sent out, asking that some benevolent person step forward behind the scenes to lend a hand.

This young man is currently in Oklahoma and will be deploying to Iraq in a couple of days. This PFC has a wife and two small daughters. I asked him if he had a laptop to stay connected with his wife and daughters while in Iraq? He said he had not been able to purchase one because he was making just enough to pay the bills and keep his wife in school.

I am posting this because I would like someone to help me find someone who can and will pick up a laptop at Wal-mart, one with a built-in web cam and microphone that will overnight it to this PFC in Oklahoma before he ships out in a couple of days. I know there has to be someone out there who can help this young man stay connected whereever he is at in Iraq with his wife and daughters. He doesn’t need nor want anything expensive, just something that he can use wherever he is to stay in touch with his family. I asked him if I could try to find him a laptop and he was overcome with the fact that I told him I wanted to try and help him.

Mrs. Bachman heard the commotion and was also attacked–when she tried to help her husband. She is in a hospital in Beijing, having undergone surgery. She is in critical condition.

BEIJING — Barbara Bachman, who has been hospitalized here since Saturday after suffering multiple wounds in a knife attack by a lone assailant, has been upgraded from critical to serious but stable.

Her husband, Todd Bachman, was killed in the attack at a popular tourist site. The assailant subsequently committed suicide.

Barbara Bachman underwent eight hours of surgery Saturday afternoon and evening. Her injuries at the time were considered life-threatening.

The Sheehag was short legitimate signatures of voters in her district, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. What a surprise.

On Wednesday, the campaign was well short of the 10,198 signatures needed to get on the ballot after San Francisco elections officials found that more than 40 percent of the people who signed weren’t registered in the city’s Eighth Congressional District.

Duh, yeah - they need to be in your district!

Sheehan’s supporters redoubled their efforts to collect enough signatures to beat the 5 p.m. Friday deadline, ultimately turning in more than 17,000 signatures to ensure that she qualified.

Leave it to SanFranFreakShow; turn over enough rocks and you find enough moonbats.

It’s sickening to think how may nuts are running around, and I’m not just talking about Vince Weiguang Li. Sure makes a person think twice about doing simple things that used to be safe…like riding a bus.

I can’t imagine what McLean’s friends and family were going through - it’s bad enough to be surprised when a tragedy like this occurs…but to have someone using that tragedy to further their sick agenda…is worse than disgusting.

Even PETA tried to use this tragedy to further their agenda - by claiming that anyone slicing a steak is just as a bad as a murderer. (How a cow is equal to a person is anyone’s guess, but a rat is a dog is a boy, as they say.)

The murder suspect is a man from China, 40-year-old Vince Weiguang Li, who worked at McDonald’s and delivered newspapers and appears to be one wackjob. He appeared in court, refused to speak, and refused a lawyer. The judge wants him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, which is understandable. But I have to wonder…is this guy a muslim? It’s not like we haven’t heard of beheadings in the past, but this story has a new twist to it - Vince Weiguang Li allegedly was hacking off pieces of the body and eating it…in full view of the passengers who were horrified that this was happening - but not one of the 38 people (including the driver) did a single solitary thing to stop it.

‘Please kill me’: murder suspect

The man accused in the beheading of a passenger last week on a Greyhound bus asked in court Tuesday to be killed.

I’ve seen where people are calling for government to provide more security on buses; I think people should be prepared because if you’re going to wait on government to save you, you could die waiting.

Friends started a Facebook group called “R.I.P. Tim” after news of the attack.

“He was a great person, he was kind, thoughtful, and he did not deserve this. I feel for his parents and sisters and his lil bro,” Jossiee Kehleer wrote.

Caron said McLean was quiet, though he liked to socialize with friends. He was small — about 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds — and tended to stay away from a fight, he said.

“From what I hear, this other guy is three times his size,” Caron said. “All the time I’ve known Tim, he’s never been the type of guy to get into a fight with. He always kept to himself when there’s strangers around.”

Witnesses said the victim was stabbed dozens of times in the apparently unprovoked attack Wednesday night aboard the bus as it traveled a desolate stretch of the TransCanada Highway about 12 miles from Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.

They said the attacker then severed his seat mate’s head, displayed it and then began cutting up the body as passengers fled in horror.

Interesting–AFP story. Wouldn’t the title have been more appropriately named if it said something like “Muslims Islamist Terrorists attack Police in Northwest China”?

BEIJING (AFP) — Eight people died in bombings and fierce clashes between police and attackers in China’s remote northwest Sunday, state media reported, the second outbreak of deadly violence there in under a week.

Soldiers were called in to secure the city of Kuqa in Xinjiang, a Muslim-populated region home to what China says are Islamic terrorists intent on turning the nation’s Olympic celebrations into mourning.

Chinese authorities did not identify who the attackers were in Sunday’s assault, but said they targetted police and government offices, and that some of them killed themselves when confronted by security forces.
Seven of the attackers died in the violence, while one security guard was killed, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The clashes began with assailants setting off an explosion at Kuqa police station, with that blast killing the security guard as well as injuring two policemen and two civilians, according to Xinhua.
Five “bombers” were found hiding in a market a few hours later. Police shot two of them dead as the attackers threw home-made explosives. Three of the attackers “blew themselves up,” Xinhua reported without elaborating.

There were at least 15 attackers involved in the day’s violence in total, and 12 gas-based pipe bombs exploded in all, it said.

This is a peculiar story, but props China’s police state actions, proving that government is there to protect the population. The article claims the Islamic separatists are objecting to years of oppressive communist rule, but it’s not that different from oppressive living under sharia.

This brings to mind that weird Canadian beheading on the bus incident. I couldn’t help but wonder if Vince Weiguang Li- who murdered 22-year old Tim McLean while he was sleeping on a greyhound bus, and then beheaded him and taunted police with the man’s head - and had a plastic bag of body parts on him when apprehended-is a muslim.

The Jeruselum Post reported on August 9 that the Iranian, Mohammad Alirezaei, refused to race Israeli swimmer, Tom Be’eri, in Beijing. But despite the Iranians’ poor sportsmanship, Tom Be’eri (among other record-setting Israeli swimmers) also set a new Israeli record on Saturday, finishing the 100m breaststroke in 1.02:42m, improving Vadim Alexeev’s 13-year-old record to end the competition in 42nd position. Beijing: Iran could face action from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) if it pulled out of the men’s swimming event because of Israel, officials said on Sunday.

Iranian swimmer Mohammad Alirezaei skipped Saturday’s 100-metre breastroke heats, which also featured Israel’s Tom Beeri.

International Olympic Committee spokeswoman Giselle Davies said she was unaware of the incident, but reiterated IOC policy.

“Unaware of the incident”? Or just unwilling to confront it?

“Under the spirit of respect and fairplay, if it is confirmed that he deliberately pulled out then the IOC would take it seriously,” Davies said.

Seriously, though, what other reason could there possibly have been for Alirezaei skipping the 100-metre breaststroke heats?

According to the Jeruselum Post, he was ordered not to compete by Iranian officials.

Politics reared its ugly head at the Olympic Games once more on Saturday after an Iranian swimmer refused to compete alongside Israeli Tom Be’eri.

Mohammad Alirezaei was due to race against Be’eri in the fourth heat of the 100 meter breaststroke, but pulled out, apparently under the orders of the chiefs of the Iranian delegation.

“This isn’t the first time this has happened and it doesn’t surprise me anymore,” Olympic Committee of Israel General Secretary Efraim Zinger told The Jerusalem Post. “Politics takes precedence over sport with the Iranians and the Olympic spirit is as far from them as east is far from west.

“My heart goes out to the Iranian athletes. In the Athens Olympics one of their sportsmen, who was a gold medal favorite, had to pull out because he was drawn against an Israeli.

“There’s no place for this kind of behavior in the Olympic movement and it’s a shame it continues.”

But it’s no surprise that it continues. Jews are descendants of pigs and monkeys to arabs; that’s why there should never be ‘competition’ between them that might show an Israeli to be superior.

In the end, the winner is Israel. Iranian officials should grow up and stop with the cowardly lion act.

I think we should get what we can from them, and then line them up in front of a firing squad.

Considering that terrorists caught on the battlefield are not a class of individuals protected under the Geneva Conventions, and would have been summarily executed in prior conflicts, the lengths to which the US has gone to provide rights to these terrorists - up to and including habeas access to US courts undermines the arguments by the defense. Hamdan has had more bites of the apple of justice than most defendants could ever hope to achieve in traditional criminal justice cases.

Cry me a river about the tactics that include sleep deprivation and solitary confinement. Hamdan admits that he was Osama’s driver, but claims that he was a mere lackey and didn’t partake in Osama’s jihad against the US.

Although Hamdan claims to have been just a lackey, terrorists lie and find a way to go back. Hamdan got 60 months time served plus 5 months.

At the time of his capture at a roadblock in Afghanistan in November 2001, Hamdan had two shoulder-launched missiles, but he said the car was borrowed and the rockets were not his.

Riiight. I hope they follow his movements after he serves his 5 months to see if he returns to the battlefield.

I mentioned this horrible story here and here. Last Tuesday, Jose Medellin was executed.

A Mexican-born convicted rapist and murderer was executed Tuesday. Jose Medellin was killed by lethal injection in a Texas prison for the rape, torture and murder of 16-year-old Elizabeth Pena and 14-year-old Jennifer Ertman.

The vivid description of what the gang did to those two lovely young girls - BEFORE they strangled them with belts and shoelaces - have played over and over again in my mind.

The fact that he would say

“I’m sorry my actions caused you pain. I hope this brings you the closure that you seek. Never harbor hate,”

Considering the brutal hateful acts that were unleashed on Elizabeth Pena and Jennifer Ertman, saying that is little consolation.

May he rot in hell. This guy wasn’t feeling sorry for what he did to the girls or what their surviving relatives have had to endure - he was feeling sorry for himself.

Pena’s father Adolfo was among those who watched Medellin die. “We feel relieved. Fifteen years is a long time coming,” he said.

God bless the Pena and Ertman families.
