2 Texas men charged in RNC scheme

Filed under: Communist, Socialist & Nazi , Demonrats , Psycho @ 8:43 pm
MINNEAPOLIS — Two Texas men who authorities say planned to target law enforcement during the Republican National Convention face federal charges of illegally possessing Molotov cocktails.

David Guy McKay, 22, and Bradley Neil Crowder, 23, both of Austin, are each charged with one count of possession of firearms that were not registered to them.

The two Austin men were in custody following an initial court appearance Friday. A court hearing is scheduled for Tuesday in Minneapolis. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys. If convicted, the pair could each face up to 10 years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement officers overheard a conversation through electronic surveillance in which McKay said the Molotov cocktails he and Crowder made would be thrown at vehicles parked in a St. Paul lot. The lot was used by law enforcement, and patrolled by U.S. Secret Service and the military.

“It’s worth it if an officer gets burned or maimed,” McKay was heard saying, according to federal authorities.

It’s a good thing that these wackos were caught; but…the forces of the left have gone further and further off the deep end. And with Obama and Ayers in the mix in this presidential election, it’s no wonder that they planned violence…but what’s amazing is that they were caught; particularly since their targets were people at the RNC and police.

One Party’s Trash Is Another Party’s Treasure: McCain Camp Rescues Flags Thrown in Trash From DNC

Really drives home that “god damned America” mantra that Obama was hearing for 20 years.

Now, of course, worried that the American public is going to catch on to their America-hating, these losers are now trying to spread the rumor that McCain’s campaign STOLE the flags.

You think anyone’s going to buy that?

Thanks to John Ruberry for being honest about Larry Sinclair. I THOUGHT I saw him in the audience at the RNC!

I’d like to see more people (yeah, that means you, GRETA…) - talk about Larry’s story other than the $8.00 an hour idiots at the Mitch and Nan Show.

Supposedly this is Jodie Evans “interrupting” one of Barack Obama’s speeches. Notice how she’s yelling, how she is trying to show a banner; how she has something written on the t-shirt over her dress, and secret service is all over her?

Oh. She’s not yelling? Showing a banner? Nobody’s stopping her? She doesn’t have something written on the t-shirt over her dress? Oh! That was at the RNC that she did that!

But that’s precisely what the WCCO reporter, Esme Murphy, CLAIMS it is; evidence that Code Pink goes after “both sides”.

Evans is smiling broadly at Obama and clapping her hands like a 5-year-old girl at a tea party, and they’re smiling at each other. There’s quite a bit difference between that and how she behaved at the RNC; just within yards of Palin as she began her speech, which prompted both Evans and Benjamin having to be strong armed out; Code Pinksters have been notoriously sickening where republicans are concerned.

Here they are being ushered out of the RNC in that same report:

Jodie Evans getting the bum’s rush out of the RNC for attempting to disrupt Palin’s speech

These are screen grabs from the video report by WCCO-4 in Minnesota about Jodie Evans and her Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin infiltrating the Republican National Convention the night of vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s speech Wednesday night. (Mel)

Allegedly, they got in with passes provided by MSNBC, although they deny it.

According to Shay at Booker Rising, which describes itself a newsite for black moderates and black conservatives [emphasis added] (Newsbusters):

I took the shuttle bus back to Minneapolis, and I overheard a convention organizer named Phil telling a convention delegate that the protesters on Wednesday night got through because of media credentials that were traced back to MSNBC (he told her that each credential has an individual bar code for each convention invitee). They suspect MSNBC this time as well.

Backstory here.

Hat tip, Mel.

See the youtube video here, and compare and contrast. The picture shows up at about 1:45-1:55.

SG at Sweetness and Light points out that Jodie Evans is a top Obama bundler, so that CRAP about going after “both sides” is another example of pulling a fast one.

what is this bird?

Filed under: General , my photographs @ 2:58 pm

nightheron1.png

Is it a straited heron, a night heron, or something else? This bird was very stunning in certain kinds of light, while nondescript in others. And…he WOULDN’T STAND STILL.

MYSTERY SOLVED: A reader informs me- it’s a Green Heron, and I checked out google images, sure enough, there are more pictures of this bird there.

nightheron5.png

The Green Heron is one of the few tool-using birds. It commonly drops bait onto the surface of the water and grabs the small fish that are attracted. It uses a variety of baits and lures, including crusts of bread, insects, earthworms, twigs, or feathers.

nightheron2.png

He reminded me of a kingfisher, but…when I looked at pictures of kingfishers, the only thing that was similar was his spikey mohawk that he put up for me (above).

nightheron3.png

All five pictures are of the same bird. From the front, he’s spectacular, but from behind…he doesn’t look like much.

nightheron4.png

This was a striking bird with bright yellow legs and feet. I don’t know if I’d recognize his call if I heard it again, but he flew all over the place and was a little nervous about my presence.

I didn’t get the clearest of pictures, but we were out by about 9:00 this morning and the light was different than what I’m accustomed to dealing with…usually I’m out there taking photos at 4:00 in the afternoon, and the joint is jumpin’.

There were still a lot of cedar waxwings around, but they were mostly in the green trees rather than dive bombing the water to get bugs and then flying up into the dead trees where I would have a straight shot at them. I was having trouble locating them and even went on a wild goosechase trying to get a photo of them among the branches of a live tree.

Still, we managed to get some good pictures today, and I managed to catch a glimpse of a few new bird varieties, and Steve played around with his new Rebel.

For some time I’ve been saying how I would never vote for John McCain; how I felt he is just the lesser of two evils; and how I’m sick and tired of “settling” for that. Every election since I was old enough to vote always seemed to contain the ‘lesser of two evils’ theme - not necessarily because your favored one candidate over another, but that your vote for the opposition would mean you would prevent the worst one from getting in.

Mychal Massie had clearly put that idea forward in his piece at Worldnet Daily, entitled “Fear Does Not Control My Vote.” - and I was in agreement - full agreement then. I was in agreement with Joseph Farah on “None of the Above.”

But when I was listening to John McCain’s speech and bawling through the whole thing, I realized what my friend Jack said is so true.

McCain stood there in his awkward honest straight forward kind of a way, and admitted without flinching that he ‘broke’ while in captivity in Vietnam, and how he was ashamed.

He spoke honestly about his broken arms, about how they’d set them but not properly, about the ramped up vicious beatings he received after he’d refused to accept their offer for him to go home before his fellow POWs.

It took courage to stand up there and admit those things.

But my issue with John McCain isn’t only that he “broke”; it’s how he treated the POW/MIA families when he was on the Senate Committee for POW/MIA affairs. What he and John Kerry did was to bury the POW/MIA issue for the rest of eternity. As my husband reminded me, everyone has their breaking point; but the POW/MIA issue is not about having a breaking point.

I have a real problem with what he did in order to normalize relations with communist Vietnam.

I have a problem with our trade agreements with communists who don’t have the ethical standards that we do; who don’t have standards at all, and who still have slave labor.

So it will still take some time for me to be completely motivated to pull the lever for McCain, when he talks about saving the earth, and windmill technology, which doesn’t amount to a hill of beans and doesn’t give enough of a return to be worthwhile. Windmills wait for the wind to blow to generate power.

We can’t wait for the wind to blow.

But overall, I agreed with his message and was impressed, and I will be proud to see Sarah Palin in the White House. I’m in agreement with Col. Riley on this one.

When McCain talked about helping displaced workers retrain for other work, and the creation of jobs through the free market, and a number of other things, like lowering taxes, keeping medical insurance choice in the hands of patients and doctors instead of throwing it over to inefficient bureaucrats.

And the part about giving people choices in their children’s education was another wonderful thing to hear, although I would have liked to have heard that he was in support of people who home school their children.

If we can cut back the behemoth of government, and stop sending so much money over to our enemies, that would be a step in the right direction.

And definitely, bringing our sons and daughters home in victory and success is another bright spot in what he’s seeking to achieve.

I was disturbed that a retired Marine Corps General, who happened to be a woman, got up there and talked about the ‘first woman killed in combat’…when women don’t belong in combat…

I was powerfully moved by their message of service; about cutting taxes, smaller government, and putting our hard-earned money back in our pockets.

I am much closer to pulling the lever for John McCain. Not because he will keep Obama out of office, but because of what he says he and Sarah are going to accomplish once they’re in Washington.

Although…I am very disturbed over his throwing Col. Ted Guy (RIP), under the bus in favor of this concocted story of how he was tortured at The Plantation.

Washington NEEDS to be shaken up; people need to realize what the role of government really should be, and I think the McCain/Palin ticket is what this country needs.

They are the ones who are talking “unity”; REAL “unity”, across party lines…and cleaning up their own party.

We DO need that kind of leadership and direction in this country that is more in line with small government, lower taxes, reinvigorating the economy in favor of moves based on free enterprise. We need someone in office who REALLY SUPPORTS OUR TROOPS, doesn’t vote in favor of going to war and then afterwards blames someone else for being ‘tricked’. If you’re dumb enough to be ‘tricked’, then you don’t belong in public office.

Those same people who now say they were “tricked” despite the Clinton resolution that set the stage for the Iraq invasion- voted to cut the funding for our troops on the ground once they’d arrived in theatre - in the tradition of the Tom Hayden/Jane Fonda “supporters”. This followed Hayden’s 10 steps for withdrawal from Iraq, which mirrored what they did with Vietnam.

That is something that John McCain doesn’t want to see repeated, you can bet on it.

Palin derangement syndrome

Filed under: General , McCain @ 6:49 am

There sure has been a lot of it, so much, in fact, that I thought I’d track some of it.

First, they criticize her HAIR. With that shot, they’re trying to allege that she’s 20 years out of date; but there are a lot of Palin look-alikes out there, with the same pinned up locks. The sexy librarian look never goes out of style, LOL

sabine.png
Sabine Ehrenfeld, the Overstock.com spokesmodel

The accusation that Trig was Bristol’s baby instead of Sarah’s, and Sarah was covering up for her 17-year-old daughter.

Then came the announcement that Bristol Palin is pregnant, and they made hay with that one. (Flipside: Biden’s family was killed in a car accident; did anyone question his remaining in the Senate afterwards, or his ability to “lead”?)

Meredith Vieira claimed that it was only “blogs” that went after Sarah Palin’s family matters, but Brian Williams on the same network, had taken a shot at Palin, while hiding behind unnamed feminists questioning “who’s looking after the baby”? (Since when do feminists care about babies, anyway?) Leftists are more concerned with being ‘punished’ with a baby, and support abortion, (and in Obama’s case, even support killing the baby after it’s born alive.)

The troopergate allegations alleging Palin is under an ethics investigation, which ignored the facts. The investigation on Woodard started more than a year before Palin became governor, and two months or so before she even started her campaign for governor. And this wasn’t a vendetta; she had not reported him for some of the things he’d done in order to ‘protect’ his career. This investigation was for good reason; he was out of control. Palin’s former brother-in-law had tasered his own 11-year-old son, was threatening the Palin family, had made racist remarks about Todd, was involved in a drunken bar fight, and was nailed for illegal hunting. (See Flopping Aces)

Then there’s the focus on Todd’s DUI, which was over 20 years ago.

The accusation that Palin wanted Trig to die because she waited so long to get to the hospital (even though she was under a doctor’s care and her water hadn’t “broke” but was “leaking”.)

The accusation that Palin joined the Alaska Independent Party which seeks to secede from the Union (Palin in fact has been a registered republican since the ’80’s.) See ABC’s Political Punch, here.

The rumor that Palin has been unfaithful to her husband and had an affair

The wacko website (screenshot above) that went up targeting Trig

Dave reminded me in comments that she was also accused of cutting funding for special needs children. Malkin: Palin “slashes” another children’s program…by increasing funding; Update: Washington Monthly retracts, what about the rest of the MSM?

From one of Michelle’s readers:

In FY 08 the academy was moved out of special education management and became it’s own program. And it’s funding was increased by about $2.8 million (to $8,234,000 in FY 08from $5,449,300 in FY07). Here’s a link to the program’s FY 08 budget

Sarah Palin is accused of reducing the special education budget by 62%.

From blogger Parentalcation:

That is false. The special education budget actually increased by nearly 12%, as explained below.

As Syar correctly notes, the Alaska 2007 budget for special education was $8,265,300. But that included $5,352,000 for the Alaska Challenge Youth Academy.

In the 2009 budgetary document to which Syar links, astute observers will note that there is no mention of the Alaska Challenge Youth Academy. Instead, you have to look elsewhere. And guess what: There is now a specific document providing $6,082,100 for the Alaska Challenge Youth Academy. (Link) So combined with the $3,156,000 that Syar notes, the total is $9,238,100. A nearly 12% INCREASE, not a 62% decrease.

AP goes after Palin’s Religion

The completely fabricated story about Palin banning books See Michelle Malkin here and STACLU, here. It’s a list of books that leftists have been complaining about being censored for a lot longer than Palin’s been in office, but suddenly the list is the Palin list. Very interesting, but stupid! They’re very good at making things up, as it turns out; and stealing talking points from one another.

Moveon.org sends out talking points, they’re picked up by an Obama blogger, verbatim at myobama.com (See it at myobama.com: Mooseburgers for Everyone to Celebrate Palin, McCain’s VP Pick!)

  • She was elected Alaska ’s governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1
  • Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2
  • She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.3
  • Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools. 4
  • She’s doesn’t think humans are the cause of climate change. 5
  • She’s solidly in line with John McCain’s “Big Oil first” energy policy. She’s pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won’t be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6 7 8 9
  • How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.10

Chgo Sun-Times: Palin ‘Shook Up Every Registered Voter in the ‘Hood’ (Does that include the dead people that ACORN has signed up there?)

“American Morning” fact-checked Palin’s speech, but not Obama or Biden’s]

And despite the attacks on her family values and wacked allegations of book burnings and accusations about her lying to the American people, -Americans are far more interested in Sarah Palin and what’s happening with the GOP than they are Obama or Biden or the democrats. That could be because the Obamessiah has been dominating the news coverage thus far, and the media tend to go out of their way to support Obama, while demonizing Bush, lumping all republicans in the Bush category.

Like it or not, McCain is not Bush; and that argument is just as stupid as all the rest of the things they’ve been saying, hoping to plant little seeds of discontent in the reinvigorated republican conservative base.

I hope they realize just what it is they’re doing to their credibility and Obama with these attacks.

It should be noted that Biden and Obama have given lip service to the Palin family being off limits regarding these attacks, but it seems to be only lip service, because the media and the lefty bloggers are not paying attention. They sure know how to LEAD!

Mark My Words shows us two references from bloggers that are keeping track of the growing list of attacks: Vetting Sarah Palin and Palin Rumors.

Check those because there is a lot more than I had thought! Despicable.

CAIR: ripping off muslims; Savage to Supreme Court

Filed under: Terrorism and Islam @ 6:11 am

This is an interesting story.

Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations, which claims to represent the interests of American Muslims, allegedly defrauded a number of Muslims recently seeking help with citizenship delays, and then threatened to sue them if they complained to the media, according to a security watchdog group which has obtained internal CAIR documents.

On the same subject, Mike Savage is going to take his case against CAIR to the Supreme Court.

“I’m going to open up this case. I’m going to sue CAIR. I’m bringing a lawsuit back against them. It’s going to cost me a fortune,” Savage said. “And when Judge Illston rejects it again, which she will do because she’s a minion of the Bill Clinton crowd, I’m going to take it over her head and I’m going to go to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, where again I’m going to hit a stonewall. And then I’m going to take it to the Supreme Court until eventually I force CAIR to describe who their funding sources are.”

I hope he achieves that goal, because they quickly dropped their lawsuit against Andrew Whitehead, the owner of Anti-CAIR, because of what would come out about their connections to terrorism in discovery.

Savage pointed to CAIR’s recent complaint against the Abercrombie & Fitch clothing company for not hiring a Muslim woman dressed in a head scarf as evidence the Islamic group is expanding its “targets” beyond talk radio.

The woman applied for a job in Oklahoma City. The local Abercrombie manager allegedly said a scarf “does not fit” the company’s image.

“Don’t you understand what they’re doing to this country?” asked Savage. “How they’re targeting the Midwest, talk radio, one talk show host at a time? One company at a time? Don’t you know that CAIR is going to come for you?”

Rock on, that organization should follow the Holy Land Foundation and other organizations that have been shut down for their connections to terrorism. Not to mention FRAUD, as was mentioned in the previous WND article.
